Haven’t tried the update yet, but heard someone saying the braking has changed? Can anyone confirm that?
Only drove the new EVO for like 15 mins today, but breaking in a straight line didn't send me into a violent spin suggesting that the ABS might actually do its thing now.

Polyphony Digital has once again, missed another opportunity to include the Multi-Function Display that they themselves made for the Nissan GT-R back in 2007.

It seemed fitting to put it on the last ever R35 after so much history together, but we just got a turned off screen instead...

Very true, it is a strange decision by PD. Following on that theme, I have always wanted the R34's MFD to be properly replicated: https://jalopnik.com/the-r34-gt-rs-multifunction-display-was-secretly-its-co-1845687935

Which one do you guys prefer, VIII or IX?

I must say, Polyphony seems to have upped their game with regards to car customization options these past few updates.

Last update had some cool new options on the Ruf like the exposed rear and the ability to hide the bolts on the body kit, or the Gallardo with all the GT3-spec options.

This update has a bunch of nice options as well. Drag racing wings on the Evo VIII and GT-R, some sort of carbon grille on the GT-R, and a ton of variety on the Hiace like various differently styled front ends, window and mirror options, an option to remove the passenger grab handle, and even a way to strip out all the rear seats with one of the roll cage options.

Great stuff!

They should strip the interiors of all cars when you apply Weight Reduction

Been driving the Hiace since yesterday and at 309 KM/185'ish MI driven it's starting to get broken-in a bit and with a BRZ Drift car engine and the steering performance is going better than when it was entirely new.

At least it's the feeling I've got so I'm not entirely sure. Also the engine is limited to the High 700 HPs (780-790'ish) Rapid edit: This is without the steering adapter too.

On the Xbox 360-era Forza games, the front passenger seat was deleted as soon as you install the best possible weight reduction upgrade.

Realistically that could take up a lot of modeling work, whether it's by simply deleting seats or full race interiors.

Is there some weird known behaviour in Catalunya where you get track reset for going slightly off track? Or is this some option I'm missing?

Example

If it thinks you're about to head onto the rallycross track (by having more than half your car either on that patch of tarmac or following the RX layout onto the dirt part of the layout further on up) it resets you.

In the physics thread people are saying apparently the physics are changed again, is it true?

I just noticed the braking is much more stable but other than that it's almost the same as before?

Modern F1 car in GT7 in 3... 2... 1...

I don't mean to be a downer, but I think we need to stop the line of thinking that just because Toyota are in a series it means we're getting that car regardless of licensing. The GR010 is a special case where LMHs had no other licensing issues and Toyota wanted to show it off, but we don't have the GR Yaris Rally1, or any Toyota NASCAR, or the GR Supra GT500, or the GR Cup 86 race car. This will be no different.

Afair there is an option to enable or disable off track resetting.
The game definitely resets you for going off track in some places on Catalunya, Le Mans, etc. if you go either in a place like the rally cross circuit while driving on the Asphalt setup of Catalunya or if you take extreme or blatant shortcuts. Even Grand Valley does that if you cut inwards at the 1997 bridge at a very high speed, happened to me once or twice, even Trial Mountain did so when before going in the tunnel if you cut outwards in the grass, you'll be resetted, happened twice to me. It's annoying as heck when the game does that.

Edit: Game does that even without the reset assist iirc.

Oh, I hate the reset. The game is really arbitrary about when it decides to use it. Here's a clip where I skipped the Laguna Seca corkscrew without penalty, then skidded off the track much later -- and the game then decided to place me all the way back at the top of the corkscrew.

Road Atlanta's the same - you can cut through the motorcycle course section at T3, but you then have to stay on the track after until the 90 degree left or it'll think you're cheating too much and put you back at T2. There seems to be a "that's just too much for us to allow" check.

I don't believe that don't we have a thread about november update.
I believe there was but it was blocked for further replies as the reason stated was (correct me if I’m wrong) it was too early or something like that. Probably best it stays that way for a couple more weeks (let the clocks go back first I reckon).

This channel has just been inactive because there's nothing of note to really talk about.
Next update expected Thursday 7th November, the same date as the PS5 Pro launch. Besides the PS5 Pro enhancements, no idea what it will include.
It will be the last update before the GT World Series finals in early December, so there's a chance that they will add something that they want to use in the event itself, like they did with Lake Louise last year.
