A little bit of nostalgia.

The BMW Z4 is among the cars I've used the most in GT4, especially this combo below: convertible in Hong Kong.

And it looks like the GT team has been around there in recent times*, which gives me hope for the GT8.

*I don't believe these Assis Scapes are from the GT4 era...

Usually they start dping this car spotlight posts when we are getting closer to the next update, but is not by any means a rule

A date in the teens is roughly the normal time of the month for these to start, last month was the outlier for being unusually late.

The 1980ies Civic and the 205GTi are amongst my most favorite additions to the game so far...and I want even more of those 1980ies hot hatchbacks in the game and more "cheap" cars from the 80ies and 70ies

The others i play on pc. Only reason for me to play on ps5 is now gt7. All the other titles i can play on pc.

We still have not got McLaren 765lt, Ferrari 812 superfast. No BMW m5 or Audi rs models.

I would love to see the capri rs3100, mk2 ford escort and audi 80. Especially as I’m building a 70’s touring grid and the capri is a glaring omission

There's a Search button in the top right of every page. While in the Cars/Suggestion forum select "This Forum", check "Search titles only" and it's probably best to enter a plain, one-word model name.

From an engineering perspective, it is mind blowing how the 205 is a mere 875kg. No doubt it doesn’t have: push button start, twin turbos, 17” abs brakes, 21” wheels, sat nav, automatic-power everything, enough sound deadening to record a studio album, a compact version of the El Capitan supercomputer, nor airbags throughout to stave off the Grim Reaper for the life of vehicle ownership. It’s from an era when damn near every manufacturer had a sports economy car.

Shoot I remember when the Pontiac Sunfire turbo was like the Veyron of economy cars. That thing had about 170hp(Mustang at the time had about 225hp) when most hot economy cars barely pushed 130hp(if I remember correctly, Europe was still using leaded gasoline for non-cat automobiles so horsepower might have been a little higher).

Anyway, most people playing this game in the states will hardly see a 205 GTI(I have since living in Australia). At least we can all take in something so analog it doesn’t have to be an all powerful super car. It is funny though, for a super car manufacturer to make something as analog and fun as a Peugeot 205, of the top of my head I can only think of the F1 and F40.

I did a quick search, and you've made eleven posts complaining about the lack of BMW M5 and Audi RS models in GT7 (five in 2025 alone). You really like those cars, huh?

They should be in the game at this point.
And i am not alone in this.

But more than few times pd has very questionable choises as the cars is concered

I'm just happy PD are still providing free updates to GT7.
Although a few more of the old Formula Silhouette race cars would be sweet.

Maybe you aren’t alone in wanting those type of cars and that’s perfectly fine - but then again, they aren’t obligated to add them, perhaps ever (obviously hope that’s not the case).

I know they dont owe us those cars.
But its kind of crazy with gt7 3 years on the market. And still not a single BMW m5 model or any Audi rs models. The varity just is not there in the updates. I dont expect good cars to be added each month. But it has been quite meh for the majority of the updates.

Previous gran turismo games has had plenty more of those kind of cars.
I would still rather pay to get better cars in the game.

Or simple answer is just that pd saving the good stuff for gt8 it those make a lot of sense to do so.

If it had a decent single player it could maybe be more fun to play now after 2000 hours.

I been so much burned out of it that i going back playing older racing games. That had very enjoyable single player content. Witch is thing modern racing games has really drop the ball on. Gt7 is not alone in this. Fm is even worse.

I find it interesting you say the variety hasn't been there in recent updates. I'd say there's been a lot of variety, maybe even too much - of the cars in the last four updates, only the 205 and EF Civic are cars I'd say really compete against each other.

Unless you just mean variety of new cars. In which case, yeah, PD care less about the 2020s than other games do. I don't think that's ever going to change - PD care more about historical significance or curios than they do bleeding edge new releases when constructing a roster, it's just how they are.

It's like in a dissertation work, you want a thematic structure being careful to avoid the "drawer" mistake. The worst thing is to regroup together a list of similar things in each chapter without offering anything in terms of analysis. This is kind of what Polyphony Digital does sometimes.

Example, your two thematics are car culture / history and a brand, here BMW. You have 1 hour.

I'm all for student B here. Most of the time PD lies somewhere between the two, but if you take a close look at Mitsubishi's line up in GT7.. Well... In an exercise where your time is limited, every choice should be made carefully.

If you have 5 opportunities to add Honda cars, of course they does Civics. But if you put 5 Civics, you will miss NSX, Prelude, Accord, Fit, etc. Yes, I also have very mixed feelings about the choices they make with certain brands.

And no other dev put the amount of detail to the car models like pd does.

Plaything through the old forza titles on 360 again and man those games was amazing.
Even better with some mods.

I have no Idea how turn 10 could have drop the ball so hard with their latest releases.

They haven't. It's a good game.

Its terrible. The last good fm was fm6. But it peaked with fm4. If you think its good i think you need to revisit the older forza titles.
The only thing fm 23 does better is its graphics and physics. Everything Else is a massive step backwords.
