You've made this claim twice now and didn't provide a link last time you were asked. So when, exactly, did Kaz say this?
To be honest, I don't think Kaz would make a quick decision like that, hence the game is a little over 3 years old. GT sport lasted seven years and three months, so I assume gt7's online modes would last 8-9 years since there are much more cars and better engine swaps and features. Even the cafe is a cool place to hang out with the A.I. staff, Sarah for one.

The new missions were a game changer and attraction for many people, I don't think Kaz would let down his fans that soon. Think about the people that haven't even discovered this game yet, their missing a lot of fun and leisure.

Plus he still won't provide evidence as to when Kaz said that. Which is suspicious, but...

I'm not making any comment about how long GT7 may or may not last (although I believe this will be a commercial decision rather than anything suggested in your post), I'm just asking @PuffelPizza to provide a source or link for when Kaz apparently said he planned for GT7 to last longer than other GT's.

The only things I'm comfortable assuming about the next GT is a) it's probably not this year, or they'd have announced it by now, and b) it won't be anywhere near when GTA VI releases, because AAA publishers won't release anything big when it could just get swallowed up by the Rockstar goliath.

Anything else, let's face it, we have no idea.

I think the next GT game may be Sport 2. They'll treat it and GT7 like FM and FH, both getting updates.
I think it's pretty obvious that the influx of lower-tier vehicles in recent updates are being built up for a greatly expanded career mode in a hypothetical GT8, and that there's zero reason to make a Sport 2 when the entire fanbase that arrived with Sport is currently leaving in droves.

30th anniversary is 2027. They are more likely to release GT8 to mark that point than they are to do a Spec B update for GT7.
That is a good point, didn't even think about that. Could be a possibility. But again it's PD's decision on when gt8 is officially released. All we can do is continue to enjoy gt7 and it's cars/tracks. And of course sport mode events and GTWS series.

I mean we cooouuuld, but that's boring. So interesting to read what the Doom Patrol post in these threads.
I mean, the game is very good in some parts but in some, like the Hagerty car prices and the used/legend cars cycles, I can't get some cars because of the real-life price tags.

Well see it wouldn't be that boring to me, because I didn't originally start playing gt7 until November 1, 2022. PD needs to add some more missions. But I know it'd be like pulling teeth to get them to do that for me. But some cars are way too expensive for people to buy, they would have to grind at least 100 hours of game time to rack up loads of credits/money.

Not a car post, but it is a post relating to the previous update's new content.
Was this an indication of the next update not being too far off? e.g. early June?

How's finding the link to your claim that Kaz said he wants GT7 to last longer than other GT's coming along? Or are you just going to ignore the question like the first time you made the claim?
To be fair, link or not, "lasting longer" is a relative term. Given that there have been plenty of announcements that the PS4 is ending production, and given that I can't find any for sale on PlayStation Direct:

https://direct.playstation.com/en-us

Then there is this article about PS4 support coming to an end this year:

https://9meters.com/technology/consoles/how-long-will-sony-support-the-ps4-console

With GT7 being the only cross console title, and it already being in it's 4th year, and PS4 support ending, signs point to GT8 coming sooner rather than later. Let's face it, the pandemic is largely to blame for GT7 taking extra time (and probably why it's cross console).

I can't see GT7 getting patched on PS4 while support is ending, and they won't patch the PS5 version and abandon the PS4 version. What I can see is a transition period where the game gets content but no technical changes while they prepare for a GT8 launch.

So ps6 lunch title? Mmmm i do not think so. To me holiday 2026 or march 2027. Oooooor late 2028/beginning of 2029. I do not see GT as a lunch title.
Yeah, the best time to launch a new GT game is around dinner, you can enjoy eating and racing at the same time, xD.

I think PD will give an official date sometime next year with a gt8 trailer of what's gonna be featured in the game.
