It'll be under Europe, probably.
Seeing as its in the UAE which is Geographically closer to Asia, that is likely where it'll actually end up.

Buuuuuuut, it's part of the EMEA region.

Apropos of the general conversation, if we have specifics about Spec III, there is a dedicated Spec III thread in which they should go:

If it's more general stuff that touches on Spec III, that'd be fine here but consider posting it there instead.

Ok, hold on. Abu Dhabi, which is in the UAE (Which itself is in West Asia) is part of the EMEA? That is abit confusing, how does that even work?

Europe, Middle East & Africa. UAE is Middle East.

"ME" is "Middle East", which covers all the way up to the Iran/Afghanistan border even in its smallest configuration.

EMEA in PlayStation terms goes even further, including India and Pakistan.

Wait. You're saying if we get thr Buddh International Circuit, it would also be listed under Europe??

I'm not saying that, no. I have no information on nor insight into how PD designs its user interfaces.

But also it wouldn't surprise me if it were the case.

I don't think so since the players in Saudi Arabia are in the EMEA region

No wonder I failed in geography in high school in 1980....

Kinda feel like the GT World Series finale might use Circuit Gilles Villeneuve at some point, but surely they will end up having Yas Marina as the Grand Final race this year.
Manufacturers Series Grand Final at Circuit-Gilles Villenueve and Nations Cup Grand Final at Yas Marina. That could be a possibility.

What about practice time, we (all of us that don't make the cut) will not see anything of those tracks until it drops to us. The participants of the GTWS, will they get any practice time to know the tracks?

I bought that low-mileage TVR Tuscan Speed 6 in Titanium from the UCD, and I found something pretty neat. To start, I added a front splitter, side skirt, rear diffuser, and a rear wing for aero parts - but no widebody at all. Plus I put it on some nice-looking BBS wheels, and bought a ballast, power limiter, full-customize ECU, and the other two sport tire compounds - but nothing else.

It turns out when you put it on Sport Mediums and do a tiny bit of tinkering with the full-custom ECU and the ballast, you can get it to exactly 600 PP. I wonder how my build would do in the WTC 600?

no circuit will be available before Christmas so no new circuit for the grand finale...

The World Tour events often use a newer build of the game than the current publicly-playable one, which is how we've seen things like car & circuit reveals happen at the events before.
Sure it would mean that the drivers wouldn't be able to practice the tracks at home before going to the event, but they've dealt with that kind of thing before on multiple occasions.

I thought the grand finale took place much earlier in December!! Yes, you were right, the finale takes place 4 days before the update!! For which circuit did this take place please??

The one that comes to mind for me was Spa-Francorchamps back in the days of GT Sport. I think it made appearances at 2 World Tour events before it was added to the public build of the game.

And Ferrari would use the 296 GT3 for the event.
The thing that worries me is the money replica races, though. Would players at home be using the 458 instead for that? Or they could put the GTWS liveried 296 GT3 in a QoL update in the in-between months, restricted for the replica race only.

This is sort of tangential but I wasn't sure where else to ask it - does anyone know if there's anyone working on a wiki for GT independent from Fandom? I was looking up some info yesterday and how miserable that site is to navigate just broke me, to the point where if there isn't one I'm tempted to take some time off work and build one myself.

World series final is 20-21 december, spec lll update will most likely arrive before then, only december has been confirmed when in december it happens remains to be seen, but i would expect around mid december at least a week before christmas.

Pd has never released an update during christmas. It has offen been released a week or couble of days before that.

So i dont why you strongly belive they will release it during christmas.

Because that is how Kaz phrased it in that tweet - "arrives this Christmas". Not holiday period or December.

There's a GT Reddit post that ask the same thing. I suggested before that we just move the entire wiki in Fandom to wiki.gg; I know a few that made the switch including those for Ace Combat, Arknights, Project Wingman, among others. The benefit of my suggestion is we don't have to worry about rebuilding it from the ground-up (no pun intended)--all of the articles are there.

Plus, existing Fandom users can just reclaim it for the new host and edit as normal.
