The translation is just "hey, enjoy the N-One that is in GT7", but the actual content here is not the point. It's more that this is becoming a trend that getting a car into GT7 seems to be important enough that on their Japanese social media feeds manufacturers post about it - I remember Mitsubishi did it for the Evo IX and Evo VIII, and Subaru did it for one of the Imprezas.

Honda did this for the FL5 and 2000 NSX GT500 as well.

Honda and Sony are also partnered on the AFEELA thing. Makes sense to promote each other.

"AFEELA" still feels like a ligma-type joke. Like, "Hey, do you want afeela?" "Afeela?" "Afeela deez..."

I don’t think we are the market for Afeela’s…
You got that right. People buying an AFEELA won’t have the Spoon crane on the rear bumper. They’ll have this sticker on the rear bumper instead:

I like the Afeela! Not my favourite car but I think it's cool that it was made by Sony. But in game it really only serves as a semi-powerful 4 door EV. Not the most dynamic.

If only I could use it in the 0-400m and 0-1000m missions. I’d love to put all the EVs side by side for drag racing battles.

I don’t think the CVT cars in particular are great adds, only because their usage is limited, but someone suggested a high power motor as a potential upgrade and I think that’d go a long way in the short term to making them more viable in higher power races.

But gotta overreact for clicks, eh? The cars really don’t even mean much in so far as, it matters that the existing library are well utilised and that new cars have things to do.

Specific cars by default will have more usability but yeah I don’t think EV/SUVs are a death knell.

They could go for 80s/90s/00s SUVs and double down on rally for GT8, would give you a sense of buying a banger to run on dirt or snow, then you build it up to compete against faster cars, or buy newer SUVs, or other cars to turn into rally cars.

Again, though, you’d need upgrades for CVT cars to make them worthwhile in terms of picking them over something else.

I do think PD need to reflect on the single player side of things, and Kaz clearly knows how to do it (GT1-5), but seems intent on doing it a new way. But firing him I think is silly.

I think someone needs to discuss with him that people generally prefer the old GT single player though. And specifically highlight what parts they liked (the progression that wasn’t like the menu books).

Also, I feel like car collection back then was more a natural result of the career progression, not an explicit goal or theme of the career.

I find that most of the content creators who put out videos such as this are part of the newer GT family (i.e they joined the franchise with GT Sport) and play mostly, if not entirely, online. So a lot of the road cars/quirky cars/etc... are just wasted space in general, in their minds.

GT7 has it's flaws (the career progression and lack of overall events in single player being two of the biggest, by FAR) but getting rid of Kaz would mean the franchise dies. Simple as that. He's lost his way a bit, for sure, but... I have faith the next game in the series will address a lot of these issues. I know it doesn't seem like he's listening to us (most of the time), but he and his team are aware of the frustrations a lot of the fans have with GT7. It's not exactly a secret. He is always going to make the game HE wants to make, but he's also not blind and/or deaf. Keep the faith, lads (and lasses).

Just wow. I mean I get annoyed sometimes about crossovers being added to GT7 but in spite of its flaws I still consider it a great and fun game (for the livery editor and photo mode alone). Claiming that Kaz is ruining the franchise is pure ignorance (though probably just clickbait to stir controversity in order to get views which seems to be most of Youtube nowadays).

Seems like they've got a more active social media person on the account for the break.

Seems like they're tidying up all the additional content that never got the spotlight before they announce something new....

"This Man is RUINING the Gran Turismo Series" and it's always, without exception, every single time, someone who joined the franchise via Sport, does nothing but drive the same old Gr.4 and Gr.3 cars in the same old daily races every week, spams every Kaz tweet with requests for the same 5 race cars, and overall gets absolutely no joy from the game whatsoever.

A group of friends and I recently started running 450PP races where each player has to choose a specific car and make it their own, and it's genuinely some of the most fun we've ever had on the game. The fact that these people are so short-sighted that they intentionally limit themselves from experiencing that type of joy is just... tragic, to me.

You Couldnt have said it better. However i dont get, ¿why do they play, if the only thing they do is crticize, and its not like most of them couldnt just get, a game like asseto corsa? Which fits their necessities. Oh! True. That game is too hard for these low skilled guys, let them play the mighty gran turismo simcade!

I really don't think it's that black and white. There might be many reasons for people criticizing GT7 for its outdated selection of GT3 (and prototype) race cars. I too think it's unfortunate since I'm a big motorsports fan and also really like making replica liveries in the game. I would love to create the latest WEC, IMSA & GT World Challenge designs but I'm unable to since these cars aren't in the game.

Having said that, I still think apart from that issue and the lack of a career mode the game itself is fantastic and probably the best car game available for consoles currently. You can tell that Kaz is a car nerd just like us and that's why this game has such an incredible attention to detail.
