I was commenting that your post is true "not concrete"
My comments are to all others who do feed the rumours...
Sorry English isn’t my first language so sometimes I don’t understand correctly that my fault dude

Although I caught it a little late on its turntable, the existing 911 RSR matches the blurry background screen in key areas - including the mirrors and (what I think is a) pitot - but more importantly the wording and data matches the length and positioning:

I've offset it slightly below and not rotated it to match perfectly (and deleted the area obscured by the steering wheel of the Bentley) so that it is more obvious - but even without that I'd expect "GT3.R (992) '22" to occupy more space than "RSR (991) '17".

Nothing leaps out as an obvious discrepancy between the existing Brand Central shot of the 911 RSR and the yellow car.

This partnership between DUNLOP and Gran Turismo may finally bring SUGO to the game. Sugo features the famous Dunlop arch on its circuit, which was used in this presentation along with the Porsche GT3R.

I can see where you’re coming from, but the wheel still obscures the view. And I still think “speculating” it’s the 992 GT3 the bonnet looks far more curved than the RSR, and you can’t see that duct / intake on the bonnet (hood) either on the RSR version, both cars have the pitot tubes too in very similar positions.

It’s fun to guess however!

Edit - I was unable to get the text to be clear, but I did manage to get the front to work. Which to me looks more like the 992 shape? I am not a photoshop wiz so I did ask GPT to help so maybe it’s not accurate

Eh, while Sugo certainly might come to the game at some point, I don't think it'll be because of this.

Just because Dunlop and Gran Turismo have a partnership doesn't mean GT will get everything Dunlop has ever sponsored before.

I can buy the 992, if it is a 992, because that's more obviously a partnership thing between both parties. But this is just Dunlop going "look at our presence in motorsport".

Not of the car's name.

Aside from having a whole extra letter (and one more space after that), the newer car also has wider numbers (in GT7's UI) and should occupy a larger space:

911 RSR (991) '17
vs
911 GT3 R (992) '22
or even
911 GT3 R (992) '23

But it's pretty much 1:1. I say "pretty much" only because the Bentley's windscreen may have a lensing effect, but it should be a 12% length difference and it's no more than two pixels out on a sloppy, five-second resize job with all screen dimensions preserved.

both cars have the pitot tubes too
This appears to be not a standard item. Some cars run with it, some don't, and it appears to be more common at longer endurance races. While Rexy sometimes does, and I've seen a Manthey car with it, here's two (of, like, 13) of them at Spa 24h in 2023, without the sticky-uppy pipe:

It's also not present on either the 992 at launch in 2022 or the updated car when launched earlier this year.

Nonetheless, the point is that the tube is not inconsistent with the RSR, nor are the mirrors, nor is the dark patch where the refuelling port is located on the RSR (it's recessed on the GT3 R), but it's all super-blurry.

The one thing that absolutely should be different and obviously different even at that range - the actual name of the car in the UI - is not different. Even the letter-groupings match.

I'm not going to say it's definitely not the 992 GT3 R but, based on what we've seen so far, I don't see a particular reason to say that it is either.

We’ll find out soon enough, what did you use to smooth it out by the way?

And is it not possible for PD to just name the car just “992 GT3.R” possibly?

And also, throwing this out there, is also not possible that PD could give us options to apply said stuff on the roof (like the Ferrari) if the car did come? So you can run with or without the tube on the roof?

Again, it’s fun to speculate and it very well could be the RSR, we’ll find out soon enough 😊😊

There is this (absolutely abhorrent admittedly) picture of something being driven from cockpit cam behind the Bentley.

I'm not sure if it lines up with any other cars but I don't think the current Porsche has that 'lump' that looks like a rear camera screen, it's much more flush to the dash.

Right, I can confirm it is indeed the 2017 RSR. Found this via a Japanese user on X.

It was fun to speculate, so I apologise if I did lead anyone but it’s always fun to discuss these things, here’s hoping the actual car does come soon though!

So it was a certified Polyphony moment after all lol.
At least we now know for certain. Thanks to everyone who helped with solving the mystery.

Another Tweet because I'm on Twitter all day and have nothing better to do.

If Gran Turismo in 2026 is bringing more gr3 car upgrades, I hope Honda get update, we need a nsx evo 22 or 25 as the current nsx is still from GT sport and it lacks behind

Me too. The NSX Gr.3 sucks absolute balls but I refuse to use anything else because of my Honda loyalty :sly: though, to be fair, they would need to "completely" remodel it because the real GT3 is a bit wider than the PD Gr.3.

Looks like a submarine periscope.
"Load forward torpedoes"

Oh damnit, it was good while it lasted.
EDIT: I read people on twitter saying that the RSR text may be a placeholder, since the front part of the car and the roof antennas dont match at all. How can this be explained, since the antennas cant be modified unless PD modeled another car? Theres no GT Auto parts either.

Well, PD should take note of this. There is a lot of hype and discussion online over just one image and that is a good thing for the franchise

...I really don't think a Spec IV is going to happen.

Not with the still unsolved mystery of Pharrell showing up at PD HQ with Daiki Kasho front and center in one of the photos.

But hey, surprise me, Kaz. -shrug-

I agree 100% you see it in the GT World Series how the Nsx lacks behind the other cars and even though Gallo is one of the best players, he extracts the most performance out of it and it’s never enough

How can this be explained
Copium.

No physical part of even the original blurry shot was inconsistent with the RSR. The sharper shots just reinforce that - the 992 GT3 R has a totally different rear side window, for example.

More confusingly, where on earth did this Spec IV speculation come from?
Also copium.
