The vibes vtubers and Gran Turismo give are so different so Sony sponsoring one from a popular vtuber company to promote GTWS is jarring but amusing to me. And it was a good idea because that's a good number of views and it probably got at least a few people interestedView attachment 1501202
You'd be surprised how many VTubers play GT and even Forza.

Vtuber? Hahahahaha......

Wow. Had to google what a VTuber is. No intention to remember what that means.

If you guys mean the many anime and furry VTubers out there... then yeah, I get it.

Otherwise, I don't necessarily understand what's so funny about being a VTuber. It's just another way of being anonymous, but for the streamer. It's hardly any different from putting yourself behind a profile picture of your favorite car. =/

Well for the same reason I wouldn't want to watch a person pretending to be a talking car play a game, I just find it a bit weird.

Obviously it's a thing that's quite a wide swath in terms of it being a persona vs. someone using it as a facecam, but I fundamentally find it disinteresting as a form of content, I either want to see someone real talking about it or I don't want to see anyone at all.

I don't get the appeal as a viewer but obviously it's helped some people break into content creation that otherwise wouldn't be able to which is good from a creator standpoint - I just find it very uncanny to engage with someone that's pretending to be something fake.

Igor Fraga jumped up to GT500, will drive for MODULO NAKAJIMA RACING with Riki Okusa next year!

The perfect excuse for Kaz & co. to give us a Honda Prelude GT500...
right...?

Maybe throw in the other 2 cars, and the Honda-owned Mobility Resort Motegi if feeling generous. :D
(watch them just re-livery the existing NSX lol)

It's a bit ironic that all of Fraga's success is coming with Honda, given the tight PD-Toyota relationship.

Worth noting that in Super Formula though, he's been in a Honda Team.

Given he's no longer competing in GTWS (For obvious reasons), its not completely impossible to have an intriguing arrangement like this.

I can’t really tell, but it looks like Serrano is either hosting a DJ-set or making content for his youtube cooking channel
It's PD's (or Daiki Kasho's?) musical equipment. Last year, Kaz and the PD staff performed "Moon Over the Castle" in front of the party-goers.

And it looks like they are set to do it again.

Was the French kidult who flounced off mid-Finals invited?

Edit: Bit of a nasty comment to make at Xmas-time, I know, but it looked like he rage-quit the Finals to me, and after getting a long-haul flight there at PD's expense, it was a pretty embarrassing way to behave imo. Apologies though if it's come out he was taken ill or something, but as far as I can tell there's been radio silence on the whole issue ever since. Maybe would help if PD or Sony (or he himself) came out and told us what happened...
After all, if it was a rage quit it should teach PD that the way they have Sports Mode penalties etc set up isn't good for anyone's blood pressure, however good they are...

Hello folks, sorry to interrupt, but a short while ago I popped an entry on here, complaining about what I saw as a major flaw in the AI following the introduction of the Power Pack. They just seemed so slow!

Anyway, I have to take it back. Yes there are one or two events which seem quite easy, but for the most part I'm absolutely loving having rally hard, tight racing against opponents who are generally just as keen, but far less reckless than many humans I've competed with.

Long may it last.

Cheers, Zo.

Yeah it's inconsistent but there are some good races there. I had a great battle in the Trial Mountain tuning event. The whole race battling against Sophy in a Supra, it really could've been a human opponent.
