How cool would that be? I guess I’ll have to wait and see… ;)

In all seriousness that would be a nice addition for a modern HyperCar (I’m really not sure if that’s still the term for this category but you guys know what I mean). Now didn’t genesis show a car that they says that they wanted to use as a base for a gt3 cars? Looks like they are really serious about getting into Motorsport…

Edit: did a few research and yes their plan is to take use their GT concept for a GT3 car in the future.

Two days in a row when I have fired up the game I just get the black screen with the GT logo and spinny thing. So I have to force close the game and retry...
Try rebuilding the Playstation database which should fix any game files with errors. If you search for it in Google, you will find many articles and videos on how to do it. I had a similar problem a few months ago and this fixed mine.

Maybe would help if PD or Sony (or he himself) came out and told us what happened...
After all, if it was a rage quit it should teach PD that the way they have Sports Mode penalties etc set up isn't good for anyone's blood pressure, however good they are...

Whatever ultimately happened at Autopolis wasn't broadcast, but Bonelli got a two-second penalty for something and it came five corners after the two of them were dumped off at turn one by the Lamborghini's mistake.

Invitation for players to the year-end party at PD is for champions only, for reference.

Yeah, I thought it odd the pile up at the start of the Gr1 Spa race didn't see a red flag and restart, when the Daytona oval race did see a restart (once, but not when a second, similar incident happened...)

Oh, I saw Gallo and (I think) Hizal in the pics too, so I guess it means all previous champs are invited along with the newest? Am I imagining things, or was Tidgney not at one of these parties once or twice?

That's correct - although @Mikail Hizal isn't only there as a champion

Of course this year was easier as Serrano has a Nations Cup (2023) title already, and won both. Inostroza and Sato haven't had titles before so they'd be new to the guest list - although I don't recall if it's Nations only or both are eligible; I can't imagine Manufacturers champions don't get an invite - but of course this year the timing of it basically requires people to stay on after the event and not take arranged travel back home and miss Christmas at home.

Don't recall @Tidgney being at one, but I'm sure he'd let us know otherwise!

So it was rague quit then, funny coming from one of the competitors that causes/is involved in a lot of incidents

I don't really see any additional evidence of a rage quit in there, so we know no more now than we did on Sunday. I also know nothing further about this particular competitor's history, though you may be more familiar with the EMEA top split than I am.

It's pretty hard to deny he was taken out in both of the races though, and while I think both drivers deemed at fault got small penalties they were... well, small. Hardly a deterrent and not much by way of a hindrance exactly either.

On average, all new cars this year (except Power Pack cars) have 47 pages of styles, 44 pages of scapes, 26 pages of race photos, and 11 pages of replays, for an average total of 32 pages (among the four content types).

(Also turns out I might have accidentally misstated/typo'd RAV4 styles stats for October. It actually had 19 pages of styles at the time.)

Bonus: Power Pack cars

Just learned totally unexpected fact... (thanks to the other guy's words)

The Supra GT Road Car (JZA80) comes with almost the same color options as those for the Supra RZ '97, but it comes with this silver instead of the Silver Metallic Graphite.

What's really interesting is, its real identity is the Gran Turismo Silver, which the "Road Car Series" of the Gr.3 / Gr.B cars come with!

Could it be considered one of them? At least it has almost the same concept.

Huge thanks to the guy who noticed this color might be the GT Silver and informed me about it.

No I've not been to a Christmas event. Some of the older ones were on boxing day but meant you had to fly on Christmas day from memory. But not sure I could ever go to one, even in the past because Christmas is quite an important celebration in our family (Family get together), now I've got baby definitely wouldn't be able to go. It's a nice thing they do though with the celebration so fair play for PD for doing it.

Maybe if we were to get the Le Mans Supra GT LM race car? I did find it interesting to get the Road Car and no race car. If one is in the future that'd be cool. Whether by Free Update or a second DLC.

Well, if it is named a “Road Car,” that implies the existence of a “Race Car.” That’s what the tradition of the franchise teaches us. I do believe it’s only a matter of time before the Supra LM Edition (Gr.3) makes an appearance. Visually, the car already looks ready.
This return to the “Road Car” trend reminds me of the Nissan Skyline LM Edition Road Car, which does exist in the real world and has already appeared in other games in the franchise.

It’s just an odd way to introduce the road car. With the other Power Pack gift cars we already have the road cars which the race cars are based on. I couldn’t find a real life road car variant of the real Supra LM race car.

Speaking of the past games, there was that special Supra TRD 3000GT. The Supra GT Road Car looks real close to it. Just no indicators in the front bumper.
IMG_7388.webp

Are we sure the new Supra isn't just meant to be a fictional road car variant of the 1997 GT500 car?

That's the easiest explanation to me, especially given the other five cars all have their basis in an existing in-game model.

It doesn’t look like the ‘97 JGTC car.
View attachment 1501932
That image looks closer to the 2000 car with the front aero, front air intake shape & lack of rear wing extensions, unlike the 1997 car.
The 2000 car is the version I view as the iconic Castol Supra as far as Gran Turismo is concerned (it's the one in GT3's intro), but the 1997 car is the more historically significant in the real world so that's the one we got.

The one in your image still has some unique differences though, like mirror placement & vents over the wheels.

Speaking of the new Supra Road Car though, it looks like players without the DLC will get to experience it in the latest Online Time Trial, as you can rent it.

Maybe one of the gtp members that believes he may have seen a GT-R GP-Tuned in a roulette wasn’t imagining it. I could see PD adding the PP gift cars to really get the GT community talking… and, boy, would they be talking!

Apologies if this is a bonehead question.

I just got the PowerPack but I don't see this Supra GT Road Car in my Brand Central. Is it the case that it will be there after I have unlocked it by clearing the appropriate race in the PP?

Yes. You will receive each of the six unlocked cars for free and then you can purchase them.
