Probably a safe bet the update is going to be on the 28th, other than that's the last Thursday of the month. Both new time trials also end on that day too.
I'm not expecting anything major. And if there is, I'm sure they'll give us a sneak peek at the live event in Milan.

I'd rule that out entirely, since the viewing campaign states that the cars will be delivered "after the next update", with the campaign running until June 6th, which means that "the next update" must be after that date*. Maybe an update for may could be next week, so with silhouettes dropping by today/tomorrow, but I suppose it's going to be skipped, as it would draw the attention from GTWS event.

*Now, I'm not 100% sure they always abode by that rule, so I would need someone to confirm or deny, however I think it is more likely to have May skipped than to have an update on the 28th honestly. TTs ending on that date is standard 14 days per TT

This is how I’m feeling, no May update. However, I feel that the June update will be teased in Milan and will feature 5-6 cars to make up for it.

Reminder that GTWS driver Takuma Miyazono will be making his N24h debut tomorrow.

I’m thinking that, if we get a may update, we will get the teaser this weekend.
It would make sense to have the update earlier because of the GTWS round 1 next weekend and with the pause in the manu cup could be for a BOP update.
That being said I doubt we will see an update in may..

On the other hand, we usually get announcements at the GTWS… so a slight bigger update could be announced (4-5 cars). If we look back at June 2024 we had a 5 car update.
Not expecting a full track but maybe a new layout for yas marina.

Has for the cars we know the Xiaomi VGT is coming so I’m expecting that a full size model will be shown a the event and announced to come in the next update.

We are also expecting other car(s) from Hyundai. I’m thinking we could get the Ionic 6 N has it fit well into the type of cars that PD would had and I’m also very curious of how it drive.
We also already have the 5 N and the Elantra N, so I feel it could be next possible step…

For the others cars we are in the unknown. The M4 GT3 could be a possibility has we have seen multiple cars shown at the events being added to the game but it not a guarantee…

I’m expecting the GNX, Starion, 2002 tii and AMG GLC 63. PD always throw us for a loop. A next update won’t be any different.
I think we are getting the Xiaomi VGT next time, I'm also pretty confident that we will get the Mazda Roadster RF VS (ND) '18 fairly soon. As for the third car, no idea...

It is maybe the single weirdest thing in GT7's lifespan to me that GT's biggest streamer as well as the commentator for the GTWS (who is himself also a big streamer) have been doing the N24, a competition GT sponsor, for four years now - and yet in-game PD have done nothing with this whatsoever. Any other live service-adjacent game would be absolutely all over that PR.

They even have sponsorship synergy with Fanatec and Dunlop this year!

thats the weird thing , even that dunlop livery was just for a show but not officially added to the game xD

PD works in mysterious ways.

As we all know by now. =/

One of my favorite things about GT7 is that there’s always something new (old) to obsess over.
Whenever I feel like the game has become stale, a new car-and-track combination pops up, and I’m right back in it.

This time, it was triggered by the Nürburgring 24h. I’ve had it on in the background for the last two days, and what I really can’t get enough of are the historic cars.
Unfortunately, “historic” means my childhood these days, so we’re talking ’80s cars - specifically the ’80s DTM BMW M3.

I took the ’89 M3 I had in my in-game garage and tuned it using a setup I found online that got it close to Gr.4 performance and feel. Then I added an amazing livery from our very own @Imbissbrunto

I’ve done 30 laps on the Nordschleife today while listening to era-appropriate music (Chris Rea, Phil Collins… you get it), and I’M HAVING A BLAST.

I mean… bring on GT8, but at the same time, long live GT7.

Any chance you can share the tune/set-up? I’d like to have a go of that car and would be super grateful.

Totally agree with you on this. That variety is exactly what‘s always been making Gran Turismo games so enjoyable for me as well.

I probably spend most of my time in-game creating liveries and taking/editing photos, but I also really appreciate how the game lets you dive into so many different types of cars: I can take a Nissan Silvia around Tokyo Expressway and enjoy the atmosphere and I also can immediately race a GT3 car around Mount Panorama next.

I also really like the detailed descriptions and all the background information we get for each car.

It’s that mix of creativity and car culture that makes me keep coming back to Gran Turismo games. It‘s literally the perfect game for car nerds.

All of this. And it’s also the perfect game to live out your car nostalgia.
GT is still the game where you will most likely find your first ever car or the car your parents used to drive. VR amplifies this x100.

Fun fact - I’m a complete idiot and put a wide body kit on my M3 and now I can’t use your livery anymore.

Will have to wait for it to hit the used car dealer again..

That’s cool. I made a replica of their livery back in 2020 for a Nations race at Nurburgring GP.
I went to look at the replay from an FIA Nations Free Practice. It was of a player that qualified using the Gr.4 Supra. I myself, had used one to set a time early in the afternoon. The livery I used, was a replica of the official GT4 Supra. It's white with Gazoo Racing stripes on the sides. When I load that player's replay, the livery I currently have on the Supra, is on the other player's car!

I loaded my replay and saw that the livery above, was on the Supra in my replay(I qualified with the GR GT4 livery). Difference being, the wheels were silver when they should be black. I went back to check the other player's replay. Sure enough, my livery is on that car(the player qualified with the default N24 livery).
This is that player's replay:

Now, whatever glitch just happened, this tells me, PD can unlock the tyre branding on the cars that come standard with their respective brands. I still don't know why the branding disappears, when we enter Livery Editor. I'd really like some reasoning from PD(of course it ain't gonna happen). It just makes the cars look more complete.

Predictions for the May update:

BMW M4 GT3 '23
Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR Straßenversion '98
Xiaomi VGT

No new track

One of the smarter guys here (forgot which one) speculated that we might not get a May update, so I’m bracing for disappointment.
Otherwise I like wheee your head is at.

This is a pretty specific pull from the datamine - has something leaked saying that this one in particular is imminent somewhere?

Don’t know how I missed this post, but yes please, Kaz.

It leaked a few weeks ago, before the April update alongside the Renault Twingo and the Yangwang U9. It was eventually replaced by the Porsche Turbo at some point.

Exactly, gt is a passion for the car. It's one of a kind, and your liveries are amazing

Asking here too... (Sorry for being too persistent)
I've just noticed that PP of the LFA was a bit increased in the latest update. (594.81 → 596.91)

There's a little possibility that this was brought by an update on its stock gearbox from MT to semi-AT (finally), but I can't check if it's true since I don't have an H-pattern shifter and a clutch pedal controller.
If anyone here has them, can you still disengage the LFA's clutch using the clutch pedal?
