I would hazard a guess that the 'PS5 features' are to do with the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the dual sense, which are features of the PS5 obviously not on the PS4.

It has.

You missed my point though. To me it seems odd that Sony explicitly highlights PS5 features for GT7 when it is only announced for PS5, whereas HFW, which they have announced for both PS4 and PS5, doesn’t mention the advantages of the PS5 in a similar way.

One would think that “PS5 features” are most relevant to point out for a game coming to both systems, and maybe it’s an indication that GT7 also will be announced for PS4 down the line. It’s a stretch, but still interesting nonetheless.

It seems to me just high lighting PS5 as much as it can. Yeah the game is only for PS5, but if you specifically mention what capabilities the PS5 has, you're not leaving anyone in the dark about it's benefits to the game.

And the official GT7 site only says PS5. However, I find it somewhat interesting how the bottom of the GT7 site highlights “PS5 features“, as if there are GT7 functionalities exclusive to PS5. The HFW site does not mention anything about PS5 features despite being announced for both PS4 and PS5.
That doesn't mean anything at all in relation to it appearing on PS4, they are features of the PS5 that GT7 is taking advantage of. It doesn't suggest it' going to be on PS4 or not in any way at all. The fact it mentions it's for PS5 and doesn't mention it being availalbe on PS4 is quite a big suggestion however.

Collect, tune, race and customize hundreds of cars and create your dream garage collection.*

*Internet required for most functionality.
I would assume that means online saving only is returning for GT7?

The other PS5-only games, Demon's Souls, and Ratchet and Clank (which definitely isn't possible on current consoles with the instant world-warping in mid gameplay thanks to the SSD tech), also has the "PS5 features" list.

If Sport mode makes a return, it’s almost given. They really don’t want any sort of cheaters.
And it will return. It's already confirmed on the newly-updated page for GT7.

Nothing to do with PoDi. Sony is no longer revealing release date until games are ready. Ratchet & Clank or Returnal has nos date, too.

Otherwise HSR, I'm not a big fan of this track.
yeah, but I don't expect them to give a release date unless they're 100% sure that it won't get delayed.

Delays happened multiple times in the past 22 years of GT. Why would they suddenly see it differently?

Well, imo it would be best to start a next gen Gran Turismo without a single delay for once.

Seemed too much to ask for a traditional SP (truly) offline GT Mode.

I’ll stand by my words then and do the same as I did with GT Sport, ie. making never purchasing the game into a tradition.

The choice between the new consoles just got significantly easier too.

Actually these 'shopped' screenshots were avaible day after the reveal trailer.

That's what Sony decided to do

But GT7 isn't the only one in this situation.

Yup, just your usual in-engine video vs static bullshot that every dev does.

What's the big deal? It's not like you need an extraordinary super-speed internet. Anyway, suit yourself.

Not much of a bullshot. Pretty much all differences I see are from slightly different color grading, or from compression in the video. (On the garage shot there are also a few differences caused by the shots not matching up perfectly in time)

Considering Polyphony's track record with killing off servers of older games (which is to say, rather quickly after the new title has released if GT5 and 6 were any indication) it doesn't exactly bode well for GT Sport specifically, or GT7 when the game relies so heavily on online features that it is effectively an online only experience to have the only things possible for you to do are arcade races and GT mode, and you can't even enter Brand Central, use Scapes, or download liveries of any kind when offline, that you once again require online saves in order to do anything? Does that seem like a big deal for you? Because it does to me. Most games, if they aren't explicitly an online only experience, retain some form of playing the game even if the servers are turned off. GT Sport, and likely GT7, don't exactly offer that, especially when things like Brand Central and Scapes (?!?!) require the use of an online connection when most regular games don't require an online connection for a dealership and the game's photo mode!

Of course though, as this forum has proven time and time again, whatever Kaz and PD does is good, even if it actively throws a middle finger to fans and players, or they actively lie to their faces.

"Huge" amount just reeks of marketing PR fluff. It's a way to make it sound better, while not exactly being dishonest. At the very least, I don't expect they'd drop lower than what is currently in GTS at least.
