A livery editor video wouldn't hype me up at all. I don't see it being all that different from gtsport.

I just need a video confirming dynamic time transitions coming back and a significant upgrade in tire physics with Michelin's help.

Yeah i think the GTS livery editor it's good enought, we need to see like you said improved core assets of the game such as dynamic weather, tire physics etc.

I highly doubt there will be full raytracing during gameplay. I don't even think the PS5 can run current gen GTSport's graphics at 4K/60 + RT.
The replays will definitely have it and it's going to look glorious.

The trailer was native 4K 60fps. Pretty big clue.

Doesn't mean that the gameplay sequences were running at 4k 60fps....

It was the whole final video which was at 4k 60fps. As a videomaker I know how it works.... you can cut a movie with 8k video sequences but finalise and export your movie in an other resolution,
for a result that in the final work there are no clues in which resolution the sequences have been captured.

It was already analysed. There are easy ways to tell if a video is up/downscaled or native.

Still, GT7's rendering has an advantage: we're getting a native 3840x2160 image from the trailer as opposed to PS4 Pro's checkerboarded 1800p target.

I'm not denying it !

I'm telling that the trailer wasn't à proof that Gran Turismo 7 will run at 4k / 60 fps until the time it's been announced officially, because at this time PD could still have encountered troubles to run the whole game in that resolution.

Which obsviously they haven't.

And THAT is the LATEST GOOD NEWS about GT7.

Yeah ! You can mock me with your sodding "smh", but nowhere in the trailer the graphic specs were official.

Until a few days ago it was nothing less than speculations
lol  yes you are right but it was kinda obvious and I think that Digital Foundry made a video about it a few days after the PS5 event

Sure, just saying it's not exactly revelatory news. I mean, 60fps is a given, all GT games target 60fps. 8K is out of the question and since they managed upscaled 4K on PS4 it was pretty obviously going to be native 4K on PS5, it's the simple logical step up.

Fair enough, we have got confirmation now but yeah, hardly surprising.

My guess is that GT7 was planned to be a launch window title but got delayed internally.

And the section on the official site naming,, PS5 features'' sounds like it would be coming for PS4 too with the named features being the upgrades in the PS5 version. Basically GT Sport engine in 4K with raytracing.

I hope i am wrong for it coming on the PS4 too but the way the gameplay looked (like gt sport in native 4K) it looks like it. Also it would produce much bigger sales.

Demon's Souls also has a 'PS5 features' section but I highly doubt that is coming for PS4.

Yes quite a few games have the PS5 features section on thier page, the tell is at the top of the page it says which consoles the games are releasing on. Of course things can change, but I don't expect GT7 to be releasing on PS4 at any time.

There's a possability it could end up on Windows a la Horizon, but that depends on what Sony's stratergy for what ends up ported to PC ends up being.

I never really thought GT7 was planned for the PS5's launch, if only because we never got a release date/window to begin with. At any rate, I'm hoping we'll hear more about both the PS5 and GT7 as the former's release date gets closer. My bet would be that GT7 will come within a year from now, maybe Fall 2021 at the latest. Might not be a bad idea, considering how big holiday sales can get. But if that's the case, I hope we also get at least one more update for GT Sport, even if they're just delayed releases of the Porsche content and Lamborghini VGT.

Found this on Twitter. Note I couldn’t find any sources for this image so can’t verify it’s legitimacy

I may be remembering wrong but I recall Kaz mentioning the heat haze in GT3 and praising the PS2 for being able to handle them in an interview or something. Seems he's been wanting to add them as an effect but always prioritised other aspects of the graphics.

The best irony would be if this game was actually a launch title, but none of us could get a damn PS5 until February or March anyways.

“See, I told you it was a launch title!” This would be the rally cry from the I-told-you-so crowd, who couldn’t even purchase a system to play it on.

Honestly, I think a that would get a lot of sim racers using it more, as most hardcore sims are on PC, which would let GT7 be a more laidback fun option to play without buying a whole new console for it. I personally would love to see it come to PC, think that would be a great move.

I think, of all PS exclusives, GT would make the most sense to port. Racing, especially competitive e-sports racing, is seriously big on PC, so any game leaning towards simulation is welcome. GT, with all that makes it unique would catch the eye of many. It would certainly be a timed exclusive but then it would sell very well on PC.

Personally, if Sony wants some money from me this gen, they'll have to bring GT to PC. Even if it's the best racing game ever made, it's not worth 570€ or 470€. Unfortunately, GT is the only surviving racing exclusive on PS, with Driveclub and Motorstorm now gone, there are no other games for me.

Now that we know that the 2020 FIA Finals will be held as an online show in December, my prediction would be that we will get some more info about GT7 as part of the show. PD seems to like to use these shows to leak some content so why not?
It depends on how much of freedom they will have at the time. The PS5 will be released by then, so Sony may allow them to do that.

I will agree 100% with @SDSPOWER01 above.
Deffinetly many people are waiting GT7 around the world and and leaving aside the short content of GTS ,all the past GT's series was a " hit " and GT7 will follow them.
From people who already preorder the ps5 ,will get it at their hands at 2021 .
I doubt that Sony can cover the needs for the new ps5 at first place and even if GT7 is ready to go on the market ,its simple logic to delay it if you're not able to cover the market worldwide.
What's the reason to launch a game when "nobody" can't play it ?
Shooting your legs might be smarter move than realising GT7 with ps5 but without have ps5 to sale .
GT series is an ace and i don't think that Sony will " burn" it that way.
First priority -for me- is to ask when Sony will have enough ps5 to cover the market and then the release of GT7 .
Personally am waiting ( still i can live without it ) and hope to buy them both as a package on some sales next year .
Sorry for my English but my point is : Forget GT7 if ps5 won't be available for everyone.
