Unfortunately GT7 is very weak in low to medium pp races. There are only few, and those that do exist are short and boring.
Not all of us are expert racers. Yet PD has made the mistake to cater GT7 to sport mode rather than career mode. A missed opportunity.
This, there's the likes of the NR-A MX-5, the MX-5 TC, the Civic TC and the GRMN 86 that are crying out for a spec series in career mode.

On top of that, I'd love it if PD had a look at more grassroots motorsports series, stuff like the NLS 325i Challenge or the BRSCC's various production-based classes.

Really wish we could get Cadillac back again with the V-Series.R hypercar.

I just hope it's not another Bentley situation again by having a single prototype available in their dealership. :(

There are so many "grassroots" racing series (N ONE Cup, Ferrari Challenge, etc.) that PD can create with their existing roster and they just... don't. A part of me wonders if there are any licensing issues preventing them from doing so, but I doubt it since they were basically able to run replica racing series in the Power Pack.

Just look at this list and all the series they can make from it :indiff:

Hoping that Sophy continues to get some love so that more cars can be driven buy it. Still waiting to plop Sophy into some modded C5s.

The cars in this update are fantastic. Wonder if the safety car coincides with a job posting at PD awhile back that specified incorporating into the game. And hey, another Porsche is always great 😄

We used to have a couple of Cadillac's in previous games; the CTS-V which was a "Premium/Detailed" model, and the Cien which was used as a key part of a GT4 money grinding method at the Citta di Aria & Costa di Amalfi tarmac rally tracks. So it's not as low of a chance as if it were a brand never seen in the series before, like e.g. Rolls-Royce.

Any hope for a Bentley GT3 car is gone at this point but it would be nice to have some luxury representation in the game.
I made this back at the start of GT7's lifecycle, if it helps ease the pain slightly (or maybe it makes it worse, sorry lol).

If I'm remembering correctly, the designer for Genesis had previously worked with Bentley on the Continental, so there is a smidge of a link there.

Wow, I thought that WAS a Bentley at first sight lol. Very well done.

These days, I wouldn't rule out Cadillac returning to Gran Turismo, especially with the brand branching out in different aspects of the world with their motorsports efforts (WEC, IMSA, F1)

Custom Race is such a great feature. Being able to change each individual car, livery and driver name is so cool. It's the mode I use the most honestly.
Wish there were a few more flags to choose from though. South Africa in particular so I can race against Jordan Pepper and the Van Der Linde brothers. They added Switzerland in the Spec II update among others, which was great because I can race against Sébastien Buemi, Louis Delétraz and others now.
Being able to assign flags to Sophy A.I. opponents would be a nice addition too.

The Genesis GT3 (I know I should write Gr.3, but I'm lazy, ok?) looks so good as a base. I made a Volvo V8 Supercar on that and honestly I find it quite believable if I can say so myself. (Wanted to paste the link, but I forgot to share it in game, let's just say GT7 could be much more "social" in having a companion app to share all our liveries, photos and so on)

Today Lotus was introducing the Emira 420 Sport. I'm not American, but isn't the place they chose for their shoots located somewhere in California near GT7's Grand Valley Highway 1 ?

Not that I think it would have any possible connection with a return in Gran Turismo, but I found it amusing.
That definitely looks like Big Sur Highway 1 (the real life equivalent of GT7‘s Grand Valley).

1.- Usage in daily races/World series (can be tracked on sites like Kudosprime
2.-Number of pages on liveries/photomode/scapes/replays in exhibition mode
Yes, I know. But I don't see how useful these are until the update is available.

And I guarantee you these will show the same trend as the trailer.

i wish custom races could be great money making methods...i would use them all the time then.

How do you change each individual car? I would love to set up my custom races like that. Whenever I race cars nearly 800pp or above I just get a roster of the same vehicles.

You need to own the cars first. Then you can assign cars to where you like on the grid using the Select from Garage option in "Rivals Cars Selection" and opening the Select from Garage box that appears below it. Pick an opponent, Change Car, select the car from your garage, done.

You can also change their name and adjust where on the grid they start in the same place.

I kind of liked how Polyphony got inspiration from Assetto Corsa's custom championship feature, especially with regards to custom grids.

The video's title is "5 New Cars in June Update", which may dash hopes some had of additional cars being revealed during State of Play. But hey, there's still the possibility of other cool stuff, right?
It could possibly mean "5 of the New Cars in June Update", but probably it's like you're saying. To your point, I wonder if this is overall a bigger update than normal in terms of other content though.
