That was my same thought, a 4 car update to justify a bit the wait, while the big update will be at the end of June with the new track showcased in London on early June as done for Eiger. However, the social posts up to now are lagging, having shown only the Vantage. If by the weekend we don't get a post about one of the others (I'm starting to forget which ones they were, just to show how much time passed, was the CX-30 the third car?), it could be a bad omen for May skipped entirely or just a regular end of month update...

(However, Italian PSN account made a meme post based off the Kangoo, if that might count as highlight post)
Since it looks like this weekend we might see Kaz tweet the silhouettes, I'd try and elaborate on this previous prediction which contained 4 cars (as I' expect due to the 1.5 months hiatus), based on the 4 races that are linked to them
Really, they should have landed by now if it's an April update, and the whole thing with the social media posts on the previous update's content that commonly precedes an update hasn't happened yet either. That's not to say that it won't be, but it's tending more towards "expect May, after GTWS Nations Cup" at this point (which we more or less said when the GTWS schedule was announced).

As for content, the numbers say maybe four cars, and if four the numbers say 3 Road/1 Race, 2 Asia/2 Europe (but the pattern says 1 America, so 2 Asia/1 Europe), 2 New/1 Used/1 Legends, 3 All New/1 Returning
One thing that kind of stands out is that only after several updates they started "cross-contaminating" events location and vehicle location (e.g., Japanese challenge cups on non-Japanese circuits and so on), therefore, these types of events have still potential to be expanded. Moreover, when a new competition is added, it is generally added in bunch of threes, and since rumor is that the update has 4 cars and 4 events, this looks unlikely. Additionally, this is the same for tracks, with three events added directly to the track, therefore I'd be inclined to believe that the next track will be unveiled in London and part of June update.

  • Sunday Cup

  • Kyoto - Yamagiwa (v1.48-Volvos)
  • Grand Valley South - Reverse (v1.56-205 GTI)

I can feel a European Sunday Cup 400 coming, since it has only 5 events, and I would see it on a "city track", hence a Tokyo configuration, which would be fitting for a city car, which seems to be their focus recently, imho to flesh out the car park for GT8 while avoiding to have most of the new cars at launch being "bland". At the same time, given their partnership with Mazda and Toyota, I believe they won't give a European competitor the spotlight for a vehicle currently on the market, hence I'd think this fills the UCD spot pointed out by @Famine with a '90s car (so that its PP is low enough to fit in 400 but is not so old to go in Sunday Cup Classic), so I'd predict a 1996 VW Golf GTI Mk III, which checks all these boxes. I'd say it's not the Panda, as we only saw it in April and it was still in modeling, when the XJ220 was shown, I think it took like 3-4 months to eventually come to the game. Also, the Fiat/FIAT brand update in Brand Central as pointed out by @GT Electro took place in February, so that gives a bit of a timeframe to when they started including it in the game, therefore I wouldn't expect it this "season", but rather in the September update.

Both of these would have been for the Alphard and Mazda 3.
Now that you mention it, possibly I have a flash in my mind of the event cover on Tokyo showing the Alphard. Regarding the Mazda3 I'm quite sure you're wrong, since I thought the same, but went and checked on the game wiki before posting and it says that it's FF). But yeah, then it explains, since the Tokyo one highlighted the Alphard (which I didn't even consider because I thought it had lower PP) and the Nurburgring one was part of the set of races for its addition

Interesting. How often do they announce a server maintenance this early? It's usually on a 2-5 days gap.

Anyway, this landing on a Thursday still makes me believe it's a content update.

Nice. That's a content update for sure.

Final SoMe post in the next few days & silhouettes this Sunday.

Hype.

Fingers crossed for a new track.
I Hope Please GIF

It's all I want at this point.

I'm not expecting a track, with GTWS and Golden Week gobbling up a bunch of work hours.

I would assume if there's one in the pipeline it'd be better suited to a June update (maybe July?) as they've given themselves some wiggle room for a longer gap between updates.

Overdue regardless though, it's been what, coming up on a year now?

Nearly. The evil Eiger was added July 2024. Lake Louise was November 2023. GVH was February 2023. Road Atlanta was November 2022. Watkins Glen was June 2022.

I forgot to include the Catalunya rallycross, the extra Nurburgring GP layouts and the Spa 24 hours new pitlane. Not sure those really count though.

FM has really raised the bar this week, Fujimi Kaido looks phenomenal. It would be nice to find out that PD has been spending all this time working on something similar. They seem to prefer their original tracks now, based on real locations, so maybe an update on the Amalfi circuit with the real scenery from Capri.

EDIT - Ok, I predict that the update will include a new track. Not a real one but a returning PD original based on a real location, as with Eiger and Grand Valley Highway.

It would be nice to
Sure thing, but this is still a prediction thread rather than a general update discussion and such thread.

If you're predicting that stuff, here is fine. If you're hoping/wishing/it would be niceing, there's a brand-new update thread here:

Oops, apologies. I lost track of which thread I was in. Old age setting in.

Why do I feel like the silhouettes are posted on Thursdays or Wednesdays and not Sunday like you guys have been saying? Has there been recent exceptions to the rule?
