Holy moly... 🤯 YAS MARINA!!! This track is so good and so beautiful. And Ferrari 296 GT3! 🤯 And even more F1 vibe with new car and Montreal!!!! 🤯🤯🤯 And even DATA LOGGER!
This is not happening, they took much criticism for poor updates, but when they drop they drop HUGE... Nice.
I haven't play GT for almost half year, because LMU got me totally but it seems we gonna have some winter sessions again.

I ask for a friend.
Sarcasm?

So, we'll be getting barely if any new stuff added in after Spec III update starting next year.
This is a bookend of steady free cars that GT7 getting they'll winding it down to a car or two to no new cars and mostly just patch fixes and QoL updates, well we're kind of already in this phase for a while now with the exception of September 2025 update.
Then they'd have to reveal the sequel next year.
And I'm really wanted to be proven wrong.
Still can't wait to see what else they'll be reveal for Spec III update.
well, we did say after the spec II there will be no major update but now there is spec III coming.

The one time I don't watch the state of play... :banghead:
Please don't watch any SoP in the future, thanks 😁
I hope the last 4 cars are being kept under wraps because there's something special in there, and not just some relatively boring filler.
I fear that they will be less exciting cars, unless they plan to keep us on our toes untill the update by dreep feeding new exciting news until the day it is delivered ?
THIS is possibly the most important addition that’s been revealed so far. It looks like there’ll be weekly mission challenges added, not sure if they’ll be permanent or not, but having new specific curated scenarios with unique dynamics is fantastic, hopefully it’s every week.
Do you think it will new mission challenges or existing ones that'll get featured in the weeklies, like many regular events are today ?

  • Enhanced weekly challenges (higher payouts or more than 5 events?).
The screencap for weeklies shows 5 events as usual but 3 of them are special and 2 are mission and TT events (from existing licenses and missions or special ones ?)
  • An info display indicating when you've made a mistake in a race, so you know there's no more extra money
  • A ****ing home button to go straight from the races to the map would also be nice
  • A general overhaul of the GUI or user-friendliness would also be nice
  • Knowing where/when you made a mistake would be great.
  • Maintaining Options button will take you to the upper left menu, then maintaining down will put you on "Go to world map" (or something like that), not as straightforward as it could be but more convenient than 10 times pressing O

We'll be getting at least 4-6 cars while waiting for Spec III update so it's not really a long wait.
Spec III is update 1.64 and we've just had 1.63 so it probably implies no updates in between.

We will? We're not getting any updates for the next couple months. Where are these vehicles coming from?
I just assume that PD is still being generous about the usual content updates in the meantime and not just piling it all up for Spec III update.
I mean if that's the case then I expect 14 new cars from Spec III not just 8.
But man, I'm sounds spoiled atm we'll have to see how big this Spec III update really is.

Well, even GT5P got Spec III update so it's a tradition at this point.
Unless GT8 is much further out than PD expecting then there's always a first time for Spec IV update lol.

Today we received the 1.63 update. The next update is 1.64, which is scheduled for December as the Spec III release. So, unless something changes between now and then it is very unlikely we will be getting any kind of updates until after Spec III's release.

Don't want to be ungrateful, but I still miss some new missions. Implemented from the beginning, then added the Human Comedy (now three years ago?) and that's it.

If Xiaomi SU7 Ultra didn't make the rest of Spec III new cars then I'd be lying if I'm not feeling a bit disappointed not to mention that there's another Xiaomi Vision GT coming as well so unless that deserves another update next year and not on the list of Spec III cars then yeah a bit of bummer and also a relief it depends on what else is on that car list and hopefully we don't have to wait two months for them to show the rest of it.
To me, it will be at least over 5 months of that banner sitting there lonely and collecting dust and I'd find that a bit sad.

Very PD to do something halfway. Why tease those four cars?

  • New old formula race car
  • Mitsubishi from the past
  • new brand to Brand Central with Mine's making a return. Will be good to see a comparison between all the Mine's GT-R from each Gran Turismo.
  • new possibly GT3 Ferrari for Sport Mode players

All four of those cars can get players excited for the update.

Looking at the Spec II update:
  • 400R
  • 190 E
  • LFA
  • '68 Charger
  • Tesla
  • 992 GT3 RS
  • Demon Challenger
None of them are a miss(even though I'm not liking Tesla). There is a pattern if comparing the four cars in Spec III to spec II. Three cars in both updates are returning cars.

The next four in Spec III could be totally new like the 296 GT(3). If the Xiaomi is one of them, so be it. Maybe PD just gift it on its own.

This may be the most welcome surprise announcement in GT7's history! Tracks!! FTO!! This is only the second non-Lancer Mitsubishi added since GT6.

Hopefully this huge content drop comes with more than just a loose collection of extra events for World Circuits. At the least, I'd expect we'll see a series of events for the F1 machines. If we're lucky, the long awaited endurance sequels to the 2022 Spa 1h.

It's been so long since I hit Collector level 50 that I'd forgotten I once wanted more levels... I hope 100,000 points isn't the new maximum, I'm at 470,932 and I still have two Legend whales to catch. Make it an even half million, make the top prize... I don't know, please not a 250 GTO.

Being a 'Spec' update, we should expect a new feature. If it were up to me, it'd be something to address endgame boredom and grinding, something like a Sophy-powered Event Synthesiser, custom Championships, Cup-of-the-week, Championship-of-the-month, S-license-endurance, Master League, one-make VGT, Megane Trophy, TT Cup, RS.01 series, a 20-race World Championship... any of those things would add a fair chunk of rewarding gameplay.

So with no Oct or Nov updates Spec 3 will see a drop in overall car additions over the remaining year. But maybe the tracks will be decent.
Not really - the average would be 9.5-10 cars for Oct, Nov and Dec so 8 isn't far off. I don't know what the total for the year is, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was up this year

PD didn't have to gift it.
I don't mind paying for SU7 Ultra it's not going to be expensive at all considering its performance figures, this isn't Rimac Nevera or anything Koenigsegg made.
The real car costs like $72K in China.
There's nothing on the road right now can beat the price per performance ratio that Xiaomi SU7 Ultra offered.
Hoping it will make the cut for Spec III but it's PD, anything can happen with the way they are shuffling around cars selection for each new update.

Very unexpected announcement, but a very pleasant one!

Was personally hoping for a generic ‘70s F1 car as we have the ‘90s ‘covered’ with the F3500-A, the ‘80s with the F1500T-A (and McLaren mp4/4), the ‘60s with the Honda RA272 and ‘50s with the Mercedes W196R.
But this mid ‘90s Benetton B194-ish car will make a good pairing with the F3500-A 😊
The other 3 cars don’t really interest me personally as the only jdm cars I like are kei cars 😅 Would be interesting to see what the other 4 cars will be, although unless we still get regular updates before the spec3 update, 2 of the 4 could likely be the Xiaomi SU7 and their VGT entry.

The 2 new tracks are cool though! If any new track were to be added, I was expecting a classic original track to return before they’d release a brand new track(s) though.. Looking forward to trying them out! Would be interesting to see if the Yas Marina track will a 24h cycle or just a daytime version and a nighttime version with all the lights on 😎 but a transition from daylight to night with the lights turning on during the race would be awesome… Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve was one of my favorites in GP2 (together with Okayama).

New circuit experiences are kind of a given when new tracks are added, so nothing unexpected there… I’m a bit skeptical about the new weekly races though, currently 4 out of 5 are just pre existing events you’ve most likely have already done ages ago and 1 special event that’s completely new, I’d prefer if they’d make all 5 races new unique special events 😅 but that’ll never happen 😑

I’m curious to see what the ‘improvements to online races’ are… hopefully a system that ghosts or kicks a player with a terrible internet connection… but as the online lobbies have been quite terrible single the launch of the game, these improvements could literally be anything…

Just been gobsmacked

I honestly saw this and immediately thought what a load of s**te, then i clicked on link and my phone fell out of my hand as I saw it was legit....
Talk about dreams coming true....View attachment 1481547what is this car?
Same here! I was like ‘what a load of click bait!’ But then the Twitter account I seen it on is usually decent for GT7 stuff so had a look at the GT website and my jaw literally dropped!
