This! I can finally replicate the FTO LM from Gran Tourismo 1. Lets go!The moment I saw the FTO, I was smitten.
Widebody FTO should mean FTO touring car replicas...I get to relive my youth!

Wait, What??
1999 / 12
Officially certified in the Guinness World Records for a 2,000km drive in 24 hours by its electric vehicle.
![]()
Mitsubishi Motors jointly developed a manganese lithium-ion battery with Japan Storage Battery Co., Ltd. (currently GS Yuasa Corporation). The Mitsubishi FTO-EV (prototype) equipped with this battery ran 899 laps around the high-speed test track (2.4 km), 2,142.3 km in total, at the Okazaki Plant over the 24 hours from 8:00 am on December 19, 1999 to 8:00 am on the 20th, becoming the world’s first electric vehicle (EV) to have successfully run 2,000 km in 24 hours.
This isrecord was achieved by a significant reduction in recharging time and improvement in driving range per charge (battery capacity) through the use of a newly developed manganese-based lithium-ion battery as well as a thorough reduction of air resistance in the vehicle itself.
This world record at the time was officially recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records.
I could see the 8 additions being split 50:50 between racing and road cars. Just pray the other road cars are not SUVs!I really hope that F1 car is a V10.
I suspect that the other 4 cars won't be pedestrian either. Hopefully there are some unannounced new features as well.
I've been to the F1 race a bunch of times and I don't recall ever seeing Champlain in the distance, but you should definitely see Jacques-Cartier and Victoria at either ends (one of the pictures actually shows the J-C Bridge fairly well). If there's dynamic TOD you could probably see the Place Ville-Marie searchlight, as well as Mount Royal and La Ronde all lit up, which would honestly be pretty damn cool.I wonder if Pont Champlain or maybe even the La Tour Verdun will be seeable from the track!
Pont Champlain uses to make me panic back then. Probably still would nowadays!! La Tour Verdun is where 96.9 CKOI is broadcasted from. It's my childhood radio that I still listen from sometimes from Alberta!![]()
Sincerely happy for you. I know exactly how you feel. Waited 25 years for "my" track to be added...Watkins Glen. Spent 50+ weekends there over the past 30 years, so many that I know which trees are not accurate in GT lol. Enjoy.Wow!! I didn't expect that!! Can't wait to drive Montreal! This track is 2 hours away from home and I attended this race like 20 times in the V12-V10-V8 and V6 eras and still going. It means a lot to me.
Not sure, but it's an Aero GP model. Those are from 1997 I believe. We need that livery!
EDIT: We know what year is the FTO of the trailer?
I totally agree. It's nowhere near a spec III release. People are too satisfied too easy with the 500th car and a single track or two added. There's no real overhaul. B-SPEC, career mode, qualifying sessions and endurance races would be a true game changer. At first glance, it's a nice update.
Especially because of the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. I'm really looking forward to it (shouldn't it have been released last year?).
But upon closer inspection, it's not worthy of a Spec 3. A long-overdue higher level cap, just one new mechanic, the data logger, and the removal of a really annoying feature (car invitations).
The rest is included in the regular updates.
I'm missing more depth and, above all, content here.
- Real endurance races (the classic)
- Brand races (there are special races, but only for a limited time)
- B-Spec Mode
- Removal of the PP requirements for races I've already won 3 to 5 times (that would be nice)
- An info display indicating when you've made a mistake in a race, so you know there's no more extra money
- A ****ing home button to go straight from the races to the map would also be nice
- A general overhaul of the GUI or user-friendliness would also be nice
Something like that would be a Spec 3 in my opinion.
I'm not complaining because GT7 is just soo good to play.It also means GT8 is still a long wait.
Ah yes!! These are the ones I meant! Oh and yes, I got big hopes for a circuit from the city of the first elementary school I went! Centre de L'Enseignement Vivant!! Life was rough at this School due to me messing around all the time and the bullies but oh well. I forgive 'em. Many of my friends are still living in North Shore/South Shore/Montreal! Sometimes I wonder how Mascouche, Terrebonne, L'Épiphanie, and Laval and Longueuil!! I miss Québec sometimes.I've been to the F1 race a bunch of times and I don't recall ever seeing Champlain in the distance, but you should definitely see Jacques-Cartier and Victoria at either ends (one of the pictures actually shows the J-C Bridge fairly well). Impressive amount of collection points IMO!! I salute your passion!!
next GT will most likely release in PS6 release window - like early 2028It also means GT8 is still a long wait.
We'll be getting at least 4-6 cars while waiting for Spec III update so it's not really a long wait.Eight new cars for me to bounce off the walls of two new tracks. Awesome. Gonna be a long couple months wait. 😅
I just want sophy races at watkins glen 🤞🏻The only thing i am missing is the mention of a potential Sophy update. We may have to wait for the finals to see the current state of this tech.
Only the headlines have been revealed, so maybe the second half of those bullet points might still show up. I doubt you'll see B Spec or classic endurance races until GT8 for sure, but there may well be some quality of life improvements we don't know about yet. If they could just let me go into a sport mode race without faffing with the tyres would be a nice start. Let's see what happens eh.At first glance, it's a nice update.

really? says who..??We'll be getting at least 4-6 cars while waiting for Spec III update
We will? We're not getting any updates for the next couple months. Where are these vehicles coming from? We'll be getting at least 4-6 cars while waiting for Spec III update so it's not really a long wait.
