Awesome wasn’t expecting this . Wish we had some classic GT tracks midfield apricot hill, r246 Tokyo special stage route 5 etc , also a little worried about weekly challenges. Tried opal time trial im 1.5 seconds off bronze lol šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜ž šŸ’©

If PD went through the trouble of coding a data logger, me thinks (hopes) they went through the trouble of at the very least adding a leaderboard overlay to the VR toggle screen - if not completely customizable. I think GTWS and perhaps daily races will be increased to 20 total lobby participants, with a hail-Mary prediction of driver swaps. I really think they’re aiming to get a leg up on the incoming Project Motorsport title before it even drops, as well as AC Evo.

Return of B-Spec Bob. Enhanced Sophy (my guess is available at all tracks, with some tracks offering Sophy the ability to drive in inclement weather). Buick GNX being one of the unknown four cars. Each subsequent ā€œcollector levelā€ above 50 will award you ā€œlifetime invitationsā€ from specific individual manufacturers - this might even be retroactive in nature.

Wet weather enabled at most North American tracks. New Physics and tire model (These GTWS drivers at this past weekend's and Los Angeles rounds might even be the guinea pigs).

I’m really curious to see what these new seasonal menu books entail. Could tie into major races happening during that time period - with ā€œspecialā€ curated events like we have in weekly challenges, or they’ll tie them to new incoming content like endurance races or something. New circuit experience events I’m guessing just ties into the new tracks. Further PS5 Pro refinements that will coincide with a Christmas PS5/Pro sales price. If PD actually brings some notable changes to the PSVR2 experience with an associated PS5 PRO update, I know I'll go buy one - Christmas sale price or not.

** If the new 296 doesn’t sound at least as good as my beloved 458, I’m not driving it. IDGA- **. :gtpflag:

Someone posted a pic of the RAV4 with the signboard on its roof in the update thread, and it got me thinking that with all of the ordinary and commercial vehicles added maybe PD is going to be bring us some new missions in the near future - along the lines of those Civic Type R traffic races - but I didn't post anything, thinking "that'll never happen. But now I'm feeling a lot more optimistic

Just thinking logically.... the data logger will probably be PS5 like Sophy, the programming for data logger on a PS4 would cause loads of lag... (opinion is mine and flawed)
...honestly just never used the data logs in GT4 and probably not use it here either...

So with the news that the Collectors Level cap will be raised and the Invitation Cars looking like they’ll be getting more long term access, I’ve only got one question..

How many Collectors levels am I gonna jump up by in December?
16. Assuming that the way that the levels increase from 17-50 continue on, of course.

Apart from the cars & tracks, I'm even damn excited about:
  • Data logger (seems so much like the Coach Dave app where telemetries can be matched to find more time).
  • New events added within Circuit Experience.
  • Enhanced weekly challenges (higher payouts or more than 5 events?).

Wow omg I didn't expected GT in state of play. They also added level cap beyond the new cool tracks and cars. Mad hype about this can't wait

When I seen the X post by PD I was like wow. That’s two awesome F1 circuits I genuinely wanted in GT7. Always felt Abu Dhabi suited a racing title such as this. Canadian GP is one of my favourites tracks ever. New cars looking good also so far. I genuinely wish we got Imola and Silverstone one day. But I’m grateful for what they are bringing in December. Nice Christmas present PD, Sony and KAZ. I wasn’t expecting any of this content to be honest.

Oh my god, I have made a terrible mistake... I confused Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve with Paul Ricard! Haha

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve is a great circuit. As you were
Ahh - yes, yes, I concur!

(To be honest I have barely driven it because the visuals confuse me but I remember folks saying the F1 races were boring). I can’t remember myself - maybe that’s a sign lol.

t's a bit better these days, but it's still not going to win any hearts and minds.

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, on the other hand, is great fun.
I like the revised turn 9, you can carry good speed through there and it seems it is an overtaking spot as well in real life.

I’ve come to enjoy the track, the visuals do help though. Really pretty.

So for those of us that have every car purchased, will the collector level get auto-calculated from my garage collection, deduct my current level and then give me the difference as a reward?

Oh wait, I know the answer to this one!

Sorry but this was about 2 years too late.

I’m secretly hoping they’ve whacked the max collector level up to something like 1000 with special rewards as you go beyond the max ā€œthis level = brand inviteā€.

It would be cool if level 1000 gets you a McLaren F1 in every available colour. Although 1000 is probably already more than a bunch of McLaren F1s. Maybe 300 max.

This is a fantastic news!
Only 2 questions come to mind : Where are the endurances Races, and why not show the 4 other cars?? One will be probably be the Xiaomi we all know about... Hoping there is a Gr1 included
Can't wait!!!

I'm happy we're getting Yas Marina in it better-flowing current layout compared to the original god-awful chicane filled original. Little needs to be said on how awesome Montreal is.

The new car batch is already a strong selection that's covering a wide base of player with only the 4 shown as far. Likely the Xiaomi is taking a spot in the remaining 4 but crossing fingers that a AZ-1 is in it to complete the ABCs.

Curious on what the online improvments will entail if its better netcode, better and more streamlined room/host options or a return of shuffle racing?

Complete speculation on my end, and someone might've already mentioned it, but with 2 tracks used in F1 and it being a December update (likely after the F1 season is over), I have a feeling one of the remaining 4 will be one of the current F1 cars.
Not completely impossible, PD has had up to date F1 cars on 3 separate occasions, and has had close connections with F1 drivers/staff for about half its history.

  • Raikkonen’s 2007 Ferrari in GT5 Prologue (which carried into GT5)
  • Alonso’s 2010 Ferrari in GT5
  • Hamilton’s (or really Bottas’s) 2017 Mercedes

The question would be what car it’d be, as the close connections PD had in the past have shifted around. They’ve specifically been close with Hamilton, Newey, and Vettel, with Verstappen and Ocon also making appearances at live events. There’s also very close marketing with Mercedes and Toyota, at least as far as auto giants -> F1 team connections go.

  • Toyota is now an operational partner with Haas, and Ocon races with them
  • Newey is now with Aston, not sure if Alonso is still actively connected to GT in any way though
  • Mercedes is still very well connected with PD, given what I know about the last F1 car they had
  • Verstappen is very pro-sim racing, and could plausibly be willing to take part in using his likeness for an appearance, PD also leveraging their connections to Redbull with the Newey/X1 project they still use for the online championships to get a Redbull in the game
  • Hamilton is very closely connected to GT, being a fan of the franchise himself, and his Ferrari could appear
  • PD could just opt for the McLaren as its been the constructor’s champion car for the last two seasons, likely to be the driver’s championship car this year, and there’s some amount of connection established with the Senna car appearing in an update a couple years back

I personally think Hamilton’s Ferrari would be the most likely, with maybe verstappen’s RedBull being highly plausible too.

With both tracks being notable F1 venues, it’s not impossible a set of missions are added similar to the Hamilton trial content from GT Sport, but that may be a more lofty prediction. IMO could be another Hamilton trial but with Ferraris, or maybe Verstappen, but the most recent reigning multi drivers champion, and could also leverage the fact that he does a lot of other driving (literally debuting in GT3 in NLS this weekend in a 296).

It's such a PD thing to completely skip the 488 GT3 and put in the 296 GT3... Just like they skipped the 488 GTB and put in the F8 Tributo... Are they allergic to the 488 or something? I find it funny that such choices were made.

Who’s to say we don’t also get the 488 and then we’ll have a Ferrari GT3 menu book. After all, the 458 did have a very illustrious racing career
