You mean like an updated or new GT3/D/E like, oh! I don’t know…a Huracan EVO, Ferrari, Aston; given they couldn’t implement a proper GT grid in GTSport I couldn’t agree more.
Lol dont even bother asking PD because ACC is going to feature the Ferrari 296 GT3.

Project Cars 2 had a nice selection of GTE and GT3 cars.

This is too much to ask from PD but here is another Skyline.

Let's talk prices on the three (likely all) Hagerty's cars, or maybe PD will surprise us and send the Maverick to Brand Central like the other SEMA Gran Turismo award winners that made it into GT7, and/or send the NISMO R32 to the UCD like it did the more-common V-spec II R32:
  • The Ford Maverick is a one-of-a-kind, so it could be any price really. However, all the other SEMA Gran Turismo award winners are 300,000 Cr.,... and are in Brand Central, so 300,000 Cr. is likely.
  • The NISMO R32 is actually cheaper than the V-spec II according to classic.com, with a CMB of $74,500/average sale of $68,366/most-recent sale of (the equivalent of, as the sale was in the UK) $89,235 in early 2022. That compares favorably to the 1994 V-spec II's $119,556/$125,826/$148,975 (at least for a lower-mileage original; there were 3 more-recent sales, a high-mileage example, a modified example, and one that just came off the market at an unknown price). Further, the NISMO was about 25% less than the V-spec II in GT1/GT2. Of course, the GT7 "zero-mileage" price of the V-spec II is 200,000 Cr., which means that the zero-mileage/Hagerty's (or first appearance in the UCD) price of the NISMO should be in the neighborhood of 150,000 Cr. (with, if it is a UCD car, a mileage discount starting with its second appearance).
  • The Giulia Sprint price points at classic.com are no CMB given/average sale of $279,998/most-recent sale of an unmodified (though restored) model of roughly $205,000 (196,000 Euro last year, with a bunch of no-sales and sales of modified examples since). Applying the Hagerty's/PD inflation index would make it 250,000-400,000 Cr.
  • Nenkai is saying the Alfa is the 1967 Giulia Sprint GT Veloce, which should make it significantly cheaper than the 1965 Giulia Sprint GTA we had in previous GTs. It's a bit hard to separate the Veloce from the other 1967 Giulia models, but it appears that most of the recent examples went for $50,000-$70,000. Again applying the Hagerty's/PD inflation index would make it 80,000-150,000 Cr., and also somewhat-likely to appear in the UCD instead of Hagerty's, which would mean a mileage discount starting with its second appearance.

As a Brazilian, the inclusion of this Ford Maverick made me raise my eyebrows.

But it's another SEMA show garbage and not the factory stock car so it could be a blank canvas for us so we could make our own customization ideas on it, so I'm not excited for it at all.

I'll buy it, take it for a spin and then probably not gonna take a second glance at it.

The Giulia is interesting, the Nismo is completely unnecessary, meh.

If the new car additions are going to be this much dry going forwards, then I hope the focus is going to be shifted into actually addressing what the community wants to be addressed in this game.

I appreciate the regular updates, but it seems my interests, and PD's are very different. The April update had nothing for me, and this one as far as the cars go, is OK at best. Here's hoping there's some solid content added.

I got more enjoyment out of the Grand Valley addon, than anything else they've done. Been downhill ever since. lol

the giulia is one of the most iconic cars ever, surprised they got this maverick and not sung kang's one due to the previous partnership (which by the way looks soo much better)

the r32 i assume would be some sort of tommy kaira so they dont duplicate? i dunno (dont see the point on putting this car but whatever)

this would had been a great pack if instead of the skyline and the maverick it was the bmw 2002tii and the escort rs1600 mk1

It won the GT Award at SEMA in 2018. Except for the 2017-winning Civic, which hasn't yet appeared, every other previous SEMA winner has been in one or more GT games. Why the surprise?

Well, it looks pretty much like one of the 560-car run of GT-R NISMO cars produced to homologate the car for Group A racing.

Some have suggested it's the NISMO S-Tune, but in previous GT games it's had the graphics on it and they're not evident on the image.

The Giulia is the star of this update it seems. The SEMA winner was to be expected to come at some point. The R32, again, would be fine in a car list of 800 to 1000 cars already, or in an update with 10 cars. But they keep doing the whole "facelift/subvariant/updated version of an existing car" thing, just for the sake of stat padding, which becomes obvious when the only GT3/Gr.3 cars they have added to the game so far, have been updated variants of an existing car, instead of updating the roster with something completely different (488 GT3, Continental GT3, and so on).

The real concern is about their ability to prioritise what gets added to the game.

Let's see if they atleast are able to solve the economy issues within the game. The whole thing of playing GT7 as a sandbox game with cars, just isn't viable, as it is massively time consuming to grind for everything.

Looking forward to the alpha and the maverick although I’d prefer an original stock maverick. Would like a lot more tracks. Way bigger payouts for racing online lobbies, I play the game a lot but pretty much just sit at whatever balance I have until I do some single player. Some friends are losing interest due to the grind and I don’t blame them. Surely it’s been a year they can increase payouts for sport and online by now? Imagine buying the game now and trying to race with your friends. It wouldn’t be as bad if you could select cars for everyone to drive online whether they have the car or not.

About the list of cars, I would like Gran Turismo to be a cousin of Forza. Perhaps brand contracts are part of the problem. Forza sells DLC with cars, GT offers monthly cars.
Forza's development team is many times larger than GT's, so much so that GT had to hire studios to design cars for the game.
Players' desire for specific cars should also not be included in contracts with brands.
For example, when opening the Mercedes-Benz stand, only an SLR appears.

Any guesses for the race events? Historic sports car race for the Guilia, GT-R cup for the Nissan. Random 3rd event? Yeah pointless guessing but the cars tend to give a little indication of what events are going to be added.
As always, will throw all 3 cars around every event i can get them in.

On the side, really hope daytona gets some optimisations, frame rate is preventing me from enjoying these events.

Hoping the SEMA Maverick finally gives us a Tuning Car Grand Prix.

Do you mean similar to the Clubman cup plus 550pp chillie races?
Id definitely be up for something like that.
In the old GT games, it was a race exclusive to pre-tuned cars - or, in GT7, the vehicles labeled "Professionally Tuned". This includes all the SEMA winners, as well as stuff like the Amuse S2000 and RE Amemiya RX-7.

More road cars for nothing or custom races i guess.

Nice to see the Nismo and the Alfa with the full detailed things, but i prefer the Nismo R32 2000 model

I'm excited to see the Maverick in the game. We used to have one when I was kid so that will be fun especially since it's a modded version. The other cars are good as well hope they add a track and some decent paying events.

its in the post
SEMA winners get scanned and put into Gran Turismo, so he's not sure why it's surprising that they chose the one that won SEMA over another one. It would be far more surprising if they chose another one over the SEMA winner.

I read your post; it does not explain why you're surprised that a car that was always going to come to the game eventually - because it won the GT Award at SEMA, and being in the game is the prize for that, and all but one previous winner has been in a GT game - is coming to the game instead of some random other car, only that you are.

Thus my question "Why the surprise?". It's like being surprised when the Genesis Vision GT comes to the game instead of the Hyundai N Vision 74 Concept.

Some people are perpetually Capt. Louis Renault.

I'm highly curious about that R32. I bet it's some sort of Nismo model, like we've seen in previous games. But I'm especially happy we're getting more Alfa Romeo models, as they have a history that goes back over a century. We probably wouldn't have Ferrari (and by extension, Lamborghini nor Pagani) if we didn't have Alfa Romeo.

Personally, I still think we need a lot more Alfa Romeo models, like the Tipo 33 Stradale, the original TZ, the return of the TZ3 among others, and the SE 048 SP for a potential Gr.1 car. But I digress - I'll take almost any model at this point. Even the Stelvio Quadrifoglio.

EDIT: The SEMA winner is also neat, but if we can't see the return of the older SEMA winners, then I'd really like to see more tuners in general, such as SARD, Mine's, HKS, and/or Tommykaira.
