Meh. Cars are not impressive. I hope some new events are added in this update, because the cars don't move a single cell in me.
New events are added to every Update with the exception being patches. Whether they're decent.. who knows.

ALL GT awards from SEMA cars should be on the game.

Currently we have them since '12 with the Mach Forty and all the other years since 2012, sans 2017 which is a Honda Civic EX

I think the Civic gets released for GT7 still.

But what about the Pozzi Camaro? The Red Devil? from GT6, the older ones such as AEM S2000, the Golf, G37 with the PS3 inside, Art Morrison C1 which I loved?

Why are those premium models just gone?
I miss the '70 Trans Cammer Mustang....I believe that was the 2009 GT Sema Winner. I'd love to have that with the 427 SOHC Cammer engine to go along with the '69 Boss 429 and the Mach 40. I'm just a sucker for the 1969-70 Mustang body style. Hell if they would unlock the engine swaps for all the cars, Id be dropping in a Coyote or Voodoo into the '69 Boss 429.

Where do you see them obsessing over the car count? The game's official website just says it has "over 400 cars", which has been true since day one.
I wouldn't say obsessing, but the car count is a big selling point of a racing game. There's a reason why they always made sure to add as many variants of the same car as possible, specially in past games (same reason why they kept standard cars in PS3-era).

🤞 they add the ability to buy "s parts" & engines from "tuning shop"

on another note...since they wanna add the Nismo R32 hopefully we get the Z-Tune R34 also or at least the Nismo R-Tune from GT5&6 🙏🏽

Nismo R32
Nismo 400r
Nismo ZTune R34

may's update could've been epic 🤷‍♂️

This update definitely signals to be one of the worst we've had since GT Sport. Of course, considering only the cars. The update can be saved if these three decoration cars are added to a NEW TRACK. But I'm not the least bit optimistic. Scalded cat fears cold water. When we talk about PD and Gran Turismo, always think of the worst. You thought? Now double by two. Always works.

They’ve literally ruined the game having such poor payouts compared to the main three. If all races including online, sport, any world circuit challenge and custom races paid out as well as the main three… the game would be fixed imo. Yes we need more tracks and better AI, much better AI but at least there would be incentive to race ANY race you felt like racing at the time.

I guess it depends on your priorities and how much you care. Call of Duty, people play shipment over and over to unlock guns and camo quickly. I couldn’t be bothered, I’m still using the first gun they gave me (i do quite well too!) but I just don’t care if I unlock other guns, we could all be using the same gun for all I care. But with GT7 I have an interest in buying these expensive vintage cars and more than one if possible! So in a sense those people that need their guns and camo unlocked, I see why they put themselves through playing the same map over and over again. Only thing is, I can’t seem to race Sardegna or LeMans more than once a week, I’ve been trying other challenges but the credits don’t add up fast for your time. Hmmm race with family and friends online or by myself trying to earn money, no thanks single player.

Such a shame the way they’ve handled payouts.
I've finally just ... not "accepted" the way PD has handled the economy, it's offensive, but I've accepted that all I can do is the best I can do within it. So I copied one of those YouTube "credit-grinding builds" with the Escudo for the Tokyo Expressway (I hate that track) high-payout race. It takes about 25 minutes to generate 825K credits with the easily achievable clean race bonus. I don't even try to actually race the event, I just mindlessly wall ride the thing around the entire time and collect my money, then move on to playing for real. It pisses me off and it's super boring and annoying, but I've just now started doing it once a day. That way it doesn't take that long, and it doesn't bore me to the point of complete tears. Before you know it, you've got 10s of millions of credits.

Sardegna is only only 125k less, a lot more fun, and there’s a bunch of different cars to use…

Yeah I don’t mind Sardegna or LeMans, can’t stand Tokyo. I think the issue with me is the time I can play the game is when my friends are online. So what would I rather do. Race alone? No thanks. I did exactly that though before, one Sardegna a day, it adds up pretty quick there’s just no reason for it. We should be racing any and all events.

I was hoping Indy would show up it's coming up this weekend love to take the Japanese F1 cars on the track

Same sentiments. I can't stand doing any of those high payout races over and over in one day. At the same time, I am saddened by the low payouts of other specialized races such as the European Sunday Cup or the Porsche and Ferrari ones, which makes me just compel to finish the daily workout, get the equally disappointing ticket rewards and exit the game.

The Custom Races are good if I want to make things a little more interesting but the measly rewards put me off most of the time.

It baffles me to no end that PD allowed this to happen.

At this point, I expect so little from them nowadays.

I'd rather PD not have spent time and resources adding duplicates in any form. Especially not with a "3 per month" live service trickle.

When the game launched with GT Auto and the Tuning Shop, the existing R32 should ideally have had the Nismo bumper and side skirts as options to begin with.

Even without them, players were happily building Group A replicas with what's already in the game judging by the pages upon pages of the Calsonic R32 in the Showcase. What does this new R32 really add? Historical significance? The actual Group A race car would have far more significance.

My point was that adding duplicates is understandable when you've run out of other cars that could reasonably be added to the game. GT7 hasn't reached that point.

The argument can be made that there's less time and work involved in churning out duplicates, allowing the devs to work on more cars/content. Is that what it takes to get, on balance, 3 cars per update?
The bolded is exactly what PD did with the XJ220, with the upgrades and visual upgrades you can essentially make both the XJ220S and XJ220C/LM variants with almost exact specs. Infact you can make quite alot of special variants of real cars by using the GT Auto and livery editor which as you mentioned makes the Nismo R32 abit pointless unless you are a fan of that specific car. It would have made more sense for PD to have added a Nissan that's nothing like anything currently in the game such as the GT500 400Z or a R390 variant, i've even seen someone post the R32 touring car which i'm sure would have gotten a much more better response instead of something that can basically already be made ingame.

I really hope that at some point PD addresses the payouts for custom races, if the payouts were 10x-30x of what they currently are I personally would no longer need PD to make events as I can make my own, i've already done this with Gr.2 cars as PD acts like that class no longer exists outside of Daily races which I do not play as I have no interest in online.

It's like all of the good features of the game are 50% done or not fully thought out, the car list so far is pretty solid but we barely have any worthwhile events to do. The car invitations could have been done so much better, IIRC Nenkai mentioned that PD may be coming up with a way to purchase engines and special parts which honestly should have been the way from the start.

Actually Sardegna pays 727,500 for under 25 minutes, which is only 97,500 less than Tokyo.
It's too bad the World GT Series doesn't pay more, 1 million for 1 hour, 5 different tracks, and dozens of cars available.

And along with this a way to share custom races like liveries in-game to leverage the playerbase's creativity as a whole.

I hear what you guys are saying and I may switch to Sardegna at some point but regardless, doing any race over and over quickly becomes tiresome. So right now I’d rather play the one that pays the most and not ruin Sardegna for me. I already hate Tokyo so grinding on it makes it feel like a completely separate thing from the rest of the game I enjoy lol.
If it weren’t for VR, I wouldn’t even care if I made more credits. I’m sitting on 200 cars in my garage and have most of the ones I really care about. But VR makes me want to drive everything so I need to keep generating funds.

Yea. If anything, VR just stopped me from grinding anymore than I already wasn’t. With the exception of Tokyo and Le Mans. The Spa 1 hour, Sardegna, the WTC 800 at Daytona, and to a waaaaaaay lesser extent, the WTC 800 at NBG were my favorite events anyways. I would just grab my favorite H-pattern car and heel-toe away. But like you, I want to drive everything now. I always tell myself I’m going to save money for a few more legends cars, but I always find myself buying even more duplicates of duplicates so I Can tune them all to different t specs. I really do wish there were extra roulette tickets given on mileage alone. When I do play, I usually put a couple hundred miles in, just hot-lapping about.

I know most sport mode guys could care less about car collecting… I mean, in GTS, I was one of them. But of PD really wanted to push sport mode more, they’d give a lot more credits in those races, with heavy bonuses for clean races. Some would argue that this would hurt their “MTX model” 🙄. But sport mode guys aren’t buying anything other than cars they want to put their own liveries on anyways. And the casuals, would just be looking for new, exciting ways to earn credits.

It’s been well over a year and the lineup still sucks. They should be releasing 10 cars a month, not 2 or 3. This is absurd and bad and the minute any publisher with money decides to challenge this trash, GT7 will be humiliated easily.

PS - regarding grind efficiency, Tokyo is more money in less time. It’s objectively better if you’re good at the game. 825k in less than 22 minutes. Sardegna is better if you’re mediocre, and Le Mans is better if you’re really really bad.

Ιf they add Nismo as a manufacture will be a nice sign for adding more models from this tunning houses!!!
And the returning of tunning houses generally as a seperate firms.

I’m a bit hyped for the ‘90 GT-R. I mean, PD trolling once again. Could have added the R32 GTS-R, but having this R32, we’ll be closer to Group A replicas than the ‘94 car. I do wonder if we’ll get the side exhaust option when fitted with Race Silencer.

Hopefully they will also ad some new Events with good payouts...
We will likely some events, but most probably not a lot. And better forget about good payout, I have seen nothing to suggest that PD is willing to improve the general economy of the game.

@05XR8 What version is the car in the bottom picture and whats in the boot?

Playstation have been taking 2 payments a month off me for PlayStation Plus. Phoned them yesterday and asked them to sort it out, to be told I could have a refund of £6.99 but my subscription cancelled!!! You virtually can't play GT7 without a subscription to PlayStation Plus!!! Has anyone else had a similar problem and how have you dealt with it???

I know this is a bit of a stretch, but I wonder if, given Sony's current cross-media push, there might be some limited time (like the GTWS events or Sophy) movie tie-in event that gets announced at the PS Showcase rather than the normal Wednesday detail drop?

Spec 2 in the showcase

As much as i would like 10 cars per month, its not realistic for the amount of work pd goes for scanning the cars, but maybe some months could have 7-10 cars for the lack in some updates
