Hey Guys,

I have a question (sorry if missed posts that addressed this further; this thread is massive).

Has either a consensus been reached or new information brought to light regarding tonight’s update including the feature to buy or otherwise obtain (stripping a car??) swappable Engines and/or “S” parts

After hearing some members share Kaz bringing this up I’ve saved up and have been hoarding 100 million credits

Thanks Everyone in advance for all info and feedback. It’s always much appreciated

So the update is tomorrow?

I think that is tonight for me.

😅 got mixed up with my kids being over. Thank you Robert

They can increase the payouts in custom races all they want but at the end of the day it still won't fix the fact that that mode is broken by too many issue to list. The horrendous rubberbanding of AI and lack of other options like adding tyre strategy and customizing AI cars (tyre types etc) mean you cannot create any type of strategy to races due to the way the AI handles are manipulated to "create better racing".
In my mind if you want to race, you do so online in sport mode or play another game. Single player is for relaxation and learning to drive.

We do not have confirmation that those features will be included in this update, I do hope they are included though as they are long overdue. IIRC it took a few months before selling cars was included when it was found in the files so worst case we could be waiting a few months before it's implemented.

Looks like someone found update video early. In their video description they say it was found on twitter or facebook (?). I’m sorry for not being able to credit original source.

No new track, only shows three already identified cars.

P.S. If this is not allowed to be shared due to not being from official source, please remove.

Yes - PlayStation Poland themselves released it early! Major confirmation (from the trailer) is no new track. Alfa is also not the GTA variant. The post did say "other changes" so there's still the possibility we could get good QoL updates:

Muh... GT is dead, the more I feel like FM... GT is boring in terms of content from GT Sport onwards..

Again content for 5 minutes and that is all. No creativity in sight.

They are free updates! But Forza Horizon did just drop a really meaty update...

It's frustrating that the drip feed on this is the way it is.

The cars are cool, but as we've all said millions of times, with no decent championships and events what's the point?

Yes, I know, go play online or on sport mode, but the only covers about 30% of what I enjoy doing in GT... Or, more pertinent, what I WOULD enjoy doing if I had the option.

I loved the missions, and it'd be super easy for them to add another few missions - endurance races that last more than an hour, challenges that keep you engaged etc...

I love GT7 and have sunk many hours in - and will continue to, but it just seems so close to getting it all right that it's more frustrating than if it had been terrible

Dont think things will change that much in future updates. We might get a new track or cool cars next but it wont be that much diferent than this.
The only way we might get something relevant is through a paid dlc.

True but gt sport didin’t have tuning parts or customazion parts like gt7 does, i would guess it take some extra time as well, but i am sure they can do better than 3 cars as month, as kaz already confirmed they can make 60 cars per year, the updates has been small for the most part, but you cant deny how really good the car models are, and at this point that car count will just grow even for future titels
They confirmed that they were able to model 60 cars per year, yet with get on average what, 40/45. And given that those "60 per year" include duplicates of some sort, which take less effort to model, their real capability to model entirely new cars, is probably even lower.

This also begs the question, how hard is it for them to update the GT6 premium models? One would assume it to be a bit easier than modeling a car from scratch, but who knows.

The only saving grace they have for the future, is that every single car now is "future proof", but for real this time. If in 10 years time they have to scrap everything to remodel them from scratch again, then all the effort they put in making the GT7 models so close to perfection, is wasted.

Free? That’s funny, I thought I had to pay for Gran Turismo, otherwise I don’t think you get them. And I still don’t see the relevance to free making something bad good.
You do have to pay for Gran Turismo to have the game itself. Otherwise, the free UPDATES would be useless.....

I really don' t understand what hundreds persons do at PD every month, now Is more than one year that there are not any new Mission, any new feature added to the game, no career mode, no manufacturers events, game Is very sterile
Add to this the time of the GTS. After all, there was no career there either, and the workers had to do something.

Yeah but no VR = care factor = zero.

Same with acc and f1.

That said, these cars, and no track, seems pretty lame.

This isn't me saying the event content they drop is good, but this year alone they've added VR, 120FPS, the big physics update and Grand Valley, all of which I'd say would be significant man-hour undertakings. So I don't think "the devs never do anything" is fair.

No new track, huh. Bummer. Guess it’s Hungaroaring in July and something for Christmas and that’s what we’ve got to look forward to this year. 😕

im going to gte the Maverick as its a great looking car, the Nismo i dont think ill bther really as i have all road-going GTRs already and a tuned R32 to 800PP. That Alfa does look nice

And let's not forget to factor in the console, the display, the electricity required to run them both, the cost of the building that houses all of these things, the car you need to get the job you require to buy them all...

Free?!
