Regarding the reply to the tweet mentioning the presence of the 37 in the datamine, now this strikes me as a great opportunity missed by PD: they should have dropped a couple of 20M legendaries in the update, so that the importance of the concierge (released tomorrow) is evident to all those who can't get those unicorns in the first rotation

Seriously, would it kill PD to include the new Mustang GT3? I don’t think there are any licensing shenanigans involved in this case, unlike with the GT3 Corvette.

The pre download just means the update is a decent size so they do it this way to make it easier on servers.

Whats with the "preload" chat?

Generally or specifically? Like, you don't know what preload is, or why it's being talked about here and now?

A preload is a time-locked download, usually intended to allow distribution of software before it officially releases in order that the entire customer base isn't downloading it at once. It then unlocks for installation at the release time.

We've had two preloads for GT7 before (the first ever GT preloads): 1.54 and Spec III.

Both were double-digit GB downloads; Spec II didn't have a preload, and at 8.8GB (on PS5) was the next-largest update.

If Spec IV Part 1 is larger than Spec II it may have a preload. However, the fact we've not seen one yet - 24hr beforehand is the norm - hints that it won't and it isn't.

So, we should be able to play Family Mode right. Don't need to be online for that.

Even if it were in the update - and it isn't - no, because that's not how preloads work. It's locked until the time the update is available.
