The BRZ felt nice here for the 20 lap race they added, it's kind on tyres so you can put the softs on and split it into 2x 10 lap sprints.
That feels ironic considering that last weekend’s Super GT race had the BRZ GT300 started from pole and finished P15. I got no clue as to why it happened, but it is the highest-positioned Dunlop-equipped GT300 at the end of the race.

Just goes to show that AI still just cant be trusted
edit (for mods or admins): it was meant as a silly joke, but now I'm getting reactions out of proportion which I won't reply to - no problem if you'll have to remove this.

Just had a thought: It'll be funny if there's an option in GT Auto to add the 348 side strakes to the F355.

omg it's like someone left a Testarossa in the dryer too long <3

Philistine! I have proudly taken one of the greatest road cars ever and used it to make an imitation of a model that almost brought the company to it's knees

This latest update is fantastic.

The new SUGO track is somewhat reminiscent of Zandvoort.

The spectator mode is exceptional.

The concierge is an excellent addition.

Coming up next: GTA6, followed by the second part of Spec IV.

It’s going to be a great Christmas holiday.

My favorite part about Sugo is the banked turns because man it's so addicting driving on road course tracks with banked turns as well as the elevation changes

Did it!! Golded Sugo with a 1:12:928!! Yes!!

And it was a scrappy lap too. This gives me inspiration to try the other tracks. I find bronze to be rarely a challenge but I've really got to dig deep and have some patience with myself to go gold. Yas and Sugo are the only tracks I've golded so far and I need coin for the two McLaren F1 GTRs.
You should try Montreal, which is very easy imho, and maybe High Speed Ring, although I could only manage with pad due to extreme understeering on the banked corner.

Is it just me or is there a missed opportunity with car viewer?

I assumed I’d be able to look at other peoples cars shared online. Spin it and put it in different light. Besides some different backgrounds, it feels like there’s not a whole lot more I can do in car viewer that I can’t do in the livery editor.

I was really hoping for the option to click on a friends car and spin it and check out the roof etc. the fine details rather than black room with an auto spin.

Genuinely prefer the way the 348 looks, and always preferred the TS/GTS over the berlinetta. This is great work.

Thanks. Im currently trying to do the gold lap of High Speed Ring but three tenths off gold. A bit frustrating when you can nail the individual sectors but not string the entire lap together. I'll give Montreal a try too.

It is a CVT. On the non-Hybrid version, the Stepwgn has Sport mode, which allows the use of simulated gears, and that's what the car in-game is running.

From what I've seen, Hybrids with CVTs don't usually have simulated gears. PD picked the best variant for the Stepwgn, thankfully.:D
Speaking from experience, the RAV4 hybrid has simulated gears, and I believe this is the case with a majority Toyota’s CVT+hybrid units. All it does is lock the CVT to 10 different ratios and then let you shift with steering wheel paddles or bumping the gear stick up or down. My mom’s RAV hybrid has it, and my base Corolla hatch (non-hybrid) has it, and if I’m not mistaken the same function was in the Corolla LE Hybrid when I test drove one in 2022.

I believe PD uses those ratios for the “transmission” in the game, but unfortunately it’s few and far in between which models actually have access to it, severely limiting tuning.

Even weirder is that in GT6, the Demio had a CVT but could be swapped for a fully customizable manual gearbox. I can’t remember a single car in the games after GT6 that had this kind of option. The worst cars in these games are the ones that lack any kind of customization or multi-purpose use.

I have a soft spot for the 348 myself. Probably because it is so reminiscent of the Testarossa/512 TR, which I adore. The sides strakes, as cool and iconic as they are, have dated it slightly. The F355 is definitely the more cleaner look.

It wasn't completely my creation. I downloaded most of it from here: https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gt7/user/discover/search/all/19421866141435390

I kept the the fake front lights but changed the side strakes to appear more pronounced.

what I really appreciate about the F355 is the interior. Nice and clean. All the necessary gauges and watching the avatar shift through the gates in VR is a treat.

Yeah, it has a really nice cockpit view in VR. The only downside is that the late ’90s and early 2000s were a pretty terrible era for steering wheel design, mainly because of those huge airbags. I think it’s a really ugly steering wheel, unfortunately.

I'm not sure why it has an airbag, as a Euro '94 model. Also, not having at least one option with Crema hide is shocking.
