I know some have a different view, but it still doesn't dampen my hopes of seeing EU invites begin flowing very soon.

I'm also crossing fingers that when it happens we may see some additional content.
We are still to be granted access to Gr.1 and Gr.B cars, and Fisherman's.
Plus all those cars we have seen playable in demos around the world.

Perhaps I'm hoping for too much, but a guy's allowed to dream, right? :)

Well I believe I got it to work. The only odd thing is, they say to put it into PS3 mode, but my CSW has issues getting into PS3 mode, or staying into PS3 mode. PC mode seems to work for me, but I was able to use my Fanatec with Cronusmax. Did a few qualifying laps, and a single race, but I'm still working on the settings for the Fanatec. With the Gr.3 cars, I have my rotation set at 540. 900 requires a lot of turning, and 360 might have been too touchy for me.

Just make sure to read up on all the info for the Cronusmax, because you need a USB 2.0 Hub or lower. You also need to identify what ports on the USB Hub are Port 1(Wheel) and Port 4(Controller) for it to work There's also settings you need to check and/or set on the Cronusmax, but it's all in their online manual.

Thanks for the update and tips! I hope to get a Cronusmax soon.

i've been refreshing this website over and over again this morning... whats up!? everybody's racing or what!?
dont let members without beta code behind! please! ;)
at least feed us some information or impressions!

I dont think that you can get any more info about the beta.Pretty much everything has been said.

OK, now I'm sorry to sound not fan-nish enough but why exactly is Gr. B called Gr. B instead of Gr. 2? Does anyone know? Or am I missing something here? There is Gr. 1, Gr. 3, Gr. 4 right?

Gr.3 is PD way to say GT3 or GT300 -GT series in Japan- (same goes for Gr.4 aka GT4 ext).Gr B is kinda Group B not GT series.

well GT3 and Super GT300 series are a lot different, they shouldn't be mixed like  anyway thanks

Car classes/grouping in rally is more familiar with alphabet hence the original Group B, Group A in 90's and so on. Gr.2 however is more fitting to fill the gap between Gr.3 and Gr.1, which means car class that is more powerful than Gr.3 cars but slightly under Gr.1. Possible and reasonable type of car class that fill this category according the matching specs and performance would be DTM, GT500 or maybe GTE type of cars (because it is racing against LMP's, don't know other reasons than that). Still things are tight lipped for Gr.2, hope there is some info about it, because it would be jarring to not have 2 before 3.

GT3 and GT300 cars are not different now.In Us are called GTD.Only thing that changes are BOP and some rules. But in terms of cars GT3=GT300=GTD.
Same way GTLM=GTE.
GT500 is another beast.Close to DTM but faster cars.

Hm ok, I was always into SGT500 anyway :D hope to see GT500 car in the game too

Only info we got on Gr.2 cars (GT500, DTM) was this quite some time ago. Hopefully we get some new info soon.

Gr.2 does not mean GT500 or DTM.It could be GT2 cars.As far as the Lexus is concerned, there is a GT3 version of that car.So they could possibly getting sounds for a Gr.3 car (class in the game) and not Gr.2.

If they were getting sounds for an RC-F Gr.3, then they should be recording the actual V8 RC-F GT3 and not the 4-cylinder turbocharged GT500 car.

What group would you fit in GT500, DTM cars if they get included later in the game? And why would PD be recording sound of the au RCF Lexus for car that is in Gr.3 ?

Right.Because sounds is one of the strong point of this game I guess.

EDIT:You know people its a game.Everything can happen.Example:some put GT500 in the same category with DTM.In real life DTM cars are slower than GT500 and cannot race against them.
Another example.Pcars put 2 GTE cars in the game, racing against GT3 cars.Again wrong(in real life terms) since GTE (GTLM) are faster than GT3 but in the game its another story.
This could happen in GTS too, since its only a game.

And T10. And even GTPlanet! :D

Step it up PD or my pre-order is cancelled.

In all seriousness though, it's very disappointing that you can't choose the country your representing in a game which is supposed to represent FIA racing. I'd love to have the Scotland flag on my car!

:p

Yeah, the only FIA licenced game :D

Why?Did you see FIA say something like "this car do not exist in real life so we dont want it into the game we are licensing" or "Gr3 is not real, you need to say GT3 in the game?"

No and frankly I don't get it at all :scared: why did they make a partnership in the first place if they were not gonna use real restrictions and stuff... sometimes I don't understand PD's logic but hey.. this is just PD being PD right?

Its just marketing for both FIA and PD.If you are looking for a more "real life experience" perhaps you should buy a PC and try iRacing for example (esports/sim racing).
