I had the Stealth Model Mazda 787B in Gt6, that was my go to car for the super class races. Great to see them back in Gt7! Especially with the GT One being one of my favourite Japanese race cars!

Just asking but you don’t need PlayStation Plus to receive these do you?
Nah you don't need PS+ to watch the Stream.

I'm kinda hyped to see those special Cars as a Gift. I just hope they have some performance tweeks or any kind of advantage compared to the normal GT-One wich you could just fit the same Livery (yh i know the decal details and resolution, but anyway...)
I'm normaly not a big fan of blacked-out or "naked" Racecars anyway, but if this is somehow special in terms of performance or the Livery is so special you can't copy it (like Carbon fiber + chrome and maybe Carbon Wheels) - i'm totally in.

Nevermind, good to see this as a Gift. Especially for Players who don't even own the GT-One / GT3R yet.

Stealth model, this really takes me back to 2010. I had a little weird situation back then where i used to own the GT5 signature edition and redeem the code to unlock the 5 or 6 (i forgot) stealth cars. But somehow, every time I start the game, I always get a notification of obtaining these cars. Which means, my garage is getting full of these so called limited cars...and the worst part is, they can't be deleted...very strange. The last time i remember i got up to around 400 of these stealth copies and it helped me achieved the 1000 cars in garage trophy 😆

Yeah it would be nice if they had increased performance like in Gt5/Gt6. As I don’t have PS+ I was a bit worried I wouldn’t get them so thanks!

PS Plus is required only for online multiplayer access. Watching some streams/videos does not place you into an online multiplayer situation.

Thanks! Glad to know I can get them especially as I haven’t got the GT One yet!

I think the article fails to mention that the original Stealth Models were slightly tuned and therefore had a performance advantage. If they did this with these cars, they would need a separate BoP for them, so I suspect they will just be liveries this time.
WOW, if only they were tuned and bumped up a class, now that would be interesting!!!

Does anyone know how far through the game you need to be to receive these?
Same as every other gift car, including those from My First Gran Turismo: you need to unlock the Garage Pavilion, which is basically the second thing you do.

The four cars in GT4 were not given different official names. Players tended to refer to them as the Black Beauties but that wasn't their actual designation.

To my recollection they were identical to the base cars in as-standard specification but suffered from engine and chassis wear, because they were used cars, and needed a chassis refresh/oil change/engine rebuild.

Stealth, as a standalone, official vehicle designation did indeed start in GT5. The Black Beauties were probably the spark - in the same way the the Citroen GT by Citroen was the spark for VGT, but isn't itself one.
Haven't you asked Kaz Yamauchi what car{s} where the nearest to what became the VGT bunch of popular & controversial fantasy car history in the GT series? Because I have a bunch of curious suggestions & guesswork to what cars inspired the actual VGT's in both GT5, GT6, GTS & GT7! If we start from GT5 & not GT4 or earlier my guess would be Gran Turismo Red Bull X which itself is not a VGT. I would be very surprised if Kaz actually said earlier that it was the Citroen GT but it wouldn't be the first time I would be surprised by the game philosophy of Kaz Yamauchi himself.

Sorry to ask so many questions but do you have to watch the full stream? How long do you have to watch it for?
you don't need to watch any of it. Clicking the button that says "Entry Available" is enough all by itself (it goes grey and says "Entry Submitted"), and you can back out right away.

Which historic cars do you think will be racing?
There are exactly 13 cars in the game that are post-WWII, pre-1960. Assuming they wouldn't use the Mercedes F1 car which is way faster than everything else, you're left with:
  • Abarth 1500
  • Mercedes 300SL race car
  • Aston DB3S
  • Ferrari 500 Mondial
  • Jaguar D-type
  • Maserati Spyder
  • Mercedes 300SL road car
  • Porsche Spyder
  • Porsche 356
  • Porsche 356 Speedster
  • Corvette C1
  • Corvette Stingray Concept
The second 356 and 300SL might be replaced by the pre-war Alfa and Mercedes, but that's the group.

Who does everyone think for the predict the winners competition?

I think Jose Serrano is the best option now, you can never discount Takuma Miyazono though.

Surely the manufacturer winner has to be between Ferrari and Porsche as they have new cars, I know the BoP will come into play but they are still better than their predecessors, and Jose Serrano is using Porsche, but the Porsche is now RR instead of MR like the previous version so the tire wear is likely to come into play and also easier to spin than the MR Ferrari, what do people think?

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo World Series 2026 Round 1 Preview: Italian Job

After a longer-than-usual offseason and a last-minute reshuffle of the calendar, the 2026 Gran Turismo World Series finally gets underway this weekend. Italy hosts a Gran Turismo live event for the first time, and the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber in the center of Milan plays the part of the venue...

Do the winners get anything substantial? For example, do they get paid a wage? Any other perks? Reason why I ask is because when I think to the Daily Races which happen weekly in GT7, you get absolute peanuts in terms of credits. Which is why I never bother with them.

But the newer cars will surely have an advantage, I know the BoP will try and compensate this.
That's the point of BOP after all, yes. To eliminate the advantage by slowing them down, speeding others up, or both (with an eye on tyre life and fuel consumption).

I know, but which one do members here think will win, I would like to get the free credits, I still think it will be either Porsche or Ferrari.

I went with Porsche in the Manufacturers Cup and Jose Serrano in the Nations Cup. :)
I went with the same lineup.
Seeing how he dominated last year and that the new GT3 R is also arguably the best gt3 car, it is probably the safest bet.
