I went to EB Games yesterday looking for a good deal on a game and walked out with a pre-order slip for GTA:IV.

I'm pleased with myself.

I can't wait to start buying cars when i'm bored of the game and start using it as a Sims game instead. Stopping for lights, driving the speed limit, etc.

What speed limit? The speed that all cars go despite anything?

I mean going at the same speed as the rest of traffic.

BTW, i remember reading not too long ago that traffic violations will catch the attention of police now. That's pretty interesting.

Its exactly like in Driver, running a red light, driving on the wrong side of the road or speeding will catch their attention.. It could be slightly annoying but also fun..

For once GTA has ripped someone else off! :sly: Not that thats a bad thing though because no 'copies' play like GTA!

Robin.

Or just sit at a gas station, wait til someone fills up their own car- kill them and steal the car. Less attention from the cops then

Edit: Umm, that's referring to the "not able to afford gas" comment.

i'll take $5 from anyone who didn't get that the first time.

I always pre-order hot titles, sometimes a get them a few days before the real release date :)

and pay like $20 more than if you just waited a little while.

Pre-orders are normally the same price as the shop price. A game like GTA4 isn't going to come down in price for a long time. Even trade in copies will be almost full price, if you can find one that's been traded in that is.

Yeah sorry, I was reading the previous page and didn't realise there was another one :dunce: I was continuing the conversation of that previous page.

No one's going to be charging you $80 for GTA:IV unless you're buying that special edition. If there is, you walk out and report it to Rockstar & the Game Shop's company. You are not supposed to be charged over what the developer sets the price at.

A little while? I think not.

Gears of War was released November 7, 2006. At Walmart.com you'll find that it's $55.82. That's a discount of $4.17 since it's release. I don't know who sells games cheaper than Walmart.

Hot titles like that, Halo 3, and COD4 will not see a price of even $30 until after the next gen consoles have been out for a year.

I got it for $40 at Sears; they must be going out of business.

There was too much to read in the IGN version so I skipped it and got the gist of it from the pics. Sounds like it will be fun, I can't wait to play it.

exactly my thoughts about it, i dont want to know too much before i get there myself :)

Yeah half the fun is playing something you didn't know would happen. Otherwise you'd play it and go "Oh wow, this must be what I read about". GT5 will be different, I'll want to know what Holdens are in the game before I play it so I can get them as fast as possible :D
