Yeah we are 10+, all of the Australians from Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland are 10+.

People from Perth are 8+ I think and Adelaide is 9:30+.

Would be good to meet up for a nice level up session, do a bunch of really quick HN or something.

Yeah a good rank up session would help, I need to get 150K before I can start my long 5M haul to level 10.:(

It goes by pretty fast-- I got my rank 10 about a week ago-- I urge you to do the co-op missions-- mix it up... they pay well and can be done pretty fast-- of course with the BDB bug, it can be a pain with randoms- if they quit or join late you will get dropped when you reach the ship.... I've earned about 3.5 million doing co-op missions-- mostly deal breaker.. I've been helping people get the "fly the co-op" trophy-- keeps it interesting for me-- every once in a while I encounter a random player that can do them as well as me-- I have a few friends I invite to help people that have mics and we can usually knock out each of the co-op missions in under the target times in just one run...

I've even done a deal breaker run where we cleared the building fast (at about the 3:25 mark... the guy flying the heli destroyed it when he landed to take out the boat-- and we all still had time to drive back to the house and beat the time.

My best times are--

5:55 for deal breaker- this time did not make my stats-- best in my stats is 6:00

4:00 for BDB II --

2:03 for Noose...

Hi everybody !
I wanna know what is the best car in the game (for break my records in the race mode). Many guys tell that the comet is the fastest car, some of them the infernus, the sultan rs, the coquette, .......
I found this great website : http://www.gta4.net/vehicles/?Type=0&Unit=metric&Sort=Speed&Speed=on&Accel=on&Drive=on&Braking=on

According to this website, the fastest car is the comet with 347 km/h!
On the other hand the car with the best acceleration is the sultan rs (4,1 sec), but the max speed is only 300km/h...
The coquette has a great max speed (344 km/h), a great acceleration (4,2 sec) and a good breaking (not too strong).

So is the coquette the best car for time trialing?

PS : Look this vid : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnSG5wqwZbI&feature=related
You can improve the max speed with this trick, but not the acceleration, look this vid : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmK-9VChLOk&feature=related
Must I use this trick in the race mode? Maybe it save a lot of time if you can control the car, no?

I prefer the Comet, i think it handles better than the Infernus, and the brakes are more dependable than the Sultan RS's. And concerning the popped tire glitch, only do it if you are drag racing, it's not worth it on the corners.

Well, I personally prefer the comet, especially when you do the handbrake trick off the line. Along with the NRG900 with the weight transfer trick.

Nrg has a great acceleration bug which lets you go epicly fast on the straights but almost certainly when supercars is a choice I go for the comet.

According to my online racing experience the Comet and the Infernus are the fastest cars, the Coquette isn't even close.
There's very little difference in speed between the Comet and Infernus, - but IMHO the Comet corners better.

In the sportscar class, the Banshee appears to be the fastest (followed closely by the Coquette). The Sultan RS has great acceleration but it's lead won't last long ;)

I don't know where they got those speeds from (they're probably misinterpreting the handling files like in SA).

The vehicles in IV are definitely moving slower than in SA, - where the fastest car is the Infernus with a topspeed of just over 220 kph.

The bikes in IV are plain stupid, - removing the somewhat realistic speed boost from leaning forward and adding the light-speed wheelie.
And I say that even if I pretty much ruled online bike races.

The bike handling got a lot better in The Lost and Damned btw. and they added several truly cool bikes too.

I recently have thought about a way to do HN in under 2 minutes.

It requires 3 players and little luck.

What I came up with is: (it might already be known but I havn't read about that anywhere)

1 player must be perfect shooter - able to take down 15 guys in like 35 seconds?

2 other players get into that little airport car and go to motorcycles parked behind all the action point.

Now luck comes in factor if there are 2 motorcycles we are good if not - I do not know.

Every player takes one motorcycle and goes to Petrovic - 1 player takes Petrovic and 1 the other player.

If shooter did not kill 15 people player 2 takes him to helicopter on slower bike and last player takes down remaining cops and takes Petrovic on faster bike (there is almost always fast and slow bike), everybody meet up in helicopter - 1:50 possible I think...

Anyway I'm looking for people for noosing but not so much people wants to do it lately (so I switched back to SSHD :) )

3,8mln left :/

How is that more effective than 1 person on a bike/in a truck straight to the chopper, pick em up and fly away. Your idea sounds longer to me.

I'm at 99.5% and, as with what happened in SA, am confused as to what I've missed. I've gone through the random characters list and believe it to be simply an activity I've missed with one of the characters. Here's hoping that is true. 👍

Today the wierdest thing ever happened, I dont think ANYONE EVER has had this happen on GTA IV PS3.

I was playing online on a private freemode with Turbo Lag and we had been on the server for around an hour and a half to two hours. The coquettes and sultans were spawning. Coquettes being my favourite car with the red stripe colour scheme. Turbo's favourite car is either the regular white sultan with a good hood or a rally sultan in black or blue.

Today he has his regular white sultan with a good hood (the black vent) and I had just obtained a Coquette. I thought mine was a dark green colour and that was a good thing for me. It simply means that after green in the Pay N' Spray comes Red Stripe. I drove my merry way to the Pay N' Spray in South Dukes/Broker. I drove the Coquette in thinking Red Stripe would be next but it wasnt.

Purple/Blue came out and I was a tad annoyed because Turbo said he had a Red Stripe where he was. I continued spraying my car instead and the next colour was Grey I think. After the grey came a reddy orangey colour and after that came the first green. All I had to do was spray the car two more times and I would have Red Stripe. Instead the game decided to do its own thing.

I drove the car into the Pay N' Spray whilst I was talking to Turbo Lag. My game went black inside the Pay N' Spray and I said to Turbo, 'What the, my game is black, oh wait its good now'. Something wasnt right. I have my Radio off online but it is on for Single Player. I can no longer hear Turbo Lag and it appears that i'm in single player. But how? After the game went black and the game did something wierd it put me inside the Pay N' Spray standing up next to my green coquette.

The coquette is now only one spray away from red stripe but this just isnt right. I get in the car and the radio is on. I look at the minimap and there are Assault Rifles, other guns and no healths that I could see on it. Turbo's blip has gone and I cant press down for a larger radius. I then pressed start to check out the map, then something else happened. The game went black again and came up with the loading screen (the one with loading in the bottom right), I thought it was going to put me back online with Turbo Lag.

Instead it loads up my default save and puts me in my Single Player house. I keep getting invite received (from Turbo Lag spamming invites) and so I go and join the game I somehow left. He has saved me the Red Stripe Coquette I mentioned earlier and all is well.

Thats the end of my story but I cannot think of how that possibly happened. I sprayed my car and got sent to single player in the same spot.

I apologise for my horrible use of tense in this post but you get the point. Has this ever happened to any of you?

Similarly weird is what happened to me on free mode last night (or midnight). It was a room of just me and two other players and we were just running about in Algonquin. One guy stole an Annihalator and consequently attracted heat from the police.

What happened next was weird: He crashed the chopper and burnt to death and as soon as he did so every single person, car, and other moving object in GTA IV FROZE (except the players). Walking up to the windows of the horde of police vehicles, I could see that the drivers were moving their heads in the normal fashion and that their sirens were on, but they weren't moving and I could not open the doors.

Luckily, I had an RPG at my disposal. Thinking that I could just blow them all up as they sat there hopelessly (the tens of howling sirens were driving me insane) I took a shot directly at the first one I saw. What happened next annoyed me: Absolutely no damage at all appeared (though, there was the sound of a car exploding). I repeated launching rockets at multiple police vehicles to no avail and, noting their immovability, decided to take advantage of the situation. I gathered all the non-police vehicles in the area (which I could open for some reason) and lined 30 or so up in a line that spanned the entire airport carparking area for a domino-effect fireworks display.

My fun ended here, however. As the other two players quit all the police vehicles instantaneously sprung back to life, running me, startled, over in the process.

Free mode can be more fun than I thought.

EDIT: Oh, and I finally achieved 100% completion the other night. It took me 63 hours, but at least it is now finished (can you believe that, according to the Rockstar Games Social Club stats, people have finished the game to 100% in just 10.5 hours? That should not be technically possible...)

Btw, I have invited you and Leon to a multiplayer game at a rate of about 5 calls per game at 200 games. And yet out of those 1000 invitations, you've never once honoured it and come to join me in the fun. There have been times when it is was only me in 'race/GTA race' mode with all the settings set most favourable to time attacking, and I invited you two to the challenge (because for some reason the majority of racers, who are probably tubby and irritable 13yr-old American kids, don't like the 'supercar/midday/clear weather/cars parked/no peds' combo that allows for the best times to be achieved). What's going on?

Mate, we get the invites but usually we are doing our own thing in free mode. If it is not between 7-7:30pm it should be fine but because we are usually doing our own thing we dont bother.
I am sure, however, if you send either of us a message saying that you want to race or kill, we can join you. It's just we dont know what you are doing half the time so yeah. Im sorry that that doesnt sound good but we can join you if you ask:).

You, me and Leon need each other anyway to get the 'Fly the Co-Op' and 'Top The Midnight Club' trophies. The latter especially, here is the process that I found on boardsus.playstation:

1. It has to be done in one session, so that means 20 different races, one after another, without signing out of the network or quitting the game or quitting the multiplayer !!!
2. Make sure you have a friend who wants to do it with you and that he is online in the moment.
3. You are the host, go to single player, choose multiplayer, choose race, choose custom play, go to private slots and set it to MAX, start the game, invite your friend.
4. So now you and your friend are on the server where no one can go its only you and your friend.
5. From cars pick Infernus, Damage choose normal, weather choose clear, Time of the day choose midday, Laps choose 1.
6. Now pick the race Driving While High.
7. First your friend lets you win this race -Driving While High- and after you have won this race go to race and pick the same race and this time you let your friend win.
8. And than you do Exaust Fumes, Thunder Road.....and so on..... to the race Taxiing. After Taxiing you will get the trophy !!! And when you get the trophy don't forget that you have to race this race once more and that this time you have to let your friend win so he gets the trophy too !!!!!!
9. It took me and my friend 2 hours to make.
10. If you don't get the trophy after the 20'th race -Taxiing- try some more races from Boats or Helicopters and you should get it.

Also, if we get really good at Hangman's Noose we can keep doing it to try and attain the 'Most Wanted' (reach level 10) trophy which is otherwise next-to-impossible for people who do not have 16 spare hours a day for every day of the year.
