< I have joined the Niko avatar trend. :D

Uh I'm having no luck registering. The registering form is 2/3 off my screen and there's no scroll bars so I can see it... WTF

I had that problem too, I think it's something to do with Firefox because it works fine in IE.

Oh man I can't wait to get GTAIV!

I am going to kill everyone!

(And maybe do a mission.)

IE failed to download since the IE I have can't display the page and blah blah blah. Whatever. :indiff: I wish computers would just work with me for a change.

You gotta love computers and when they decide not to work. :ouch:

Maybe the site is busy, there is probably a ton of people visiting it. The internet can't handle the fast approaching release of the next GTA. :D

Oh, right. I guess nearly every new site these days has flash elements in it.

New Audio Q&A on Games Radar, Click Me! Sounds good. :sly:

Check out this screenshot.

You can see a body wedged between the two vehicles, ouch.

Apparently you can view TV in-game, there is said to be 2 hours worth.

Here is a much larger version of that picture

So many people are commenting on how great the damage is and even comparing it to Burnout. Am I the only one totally unimpressed with the damage? There is hardly any, just broken glass and a open door, the car has hardly crumpled at all. Much less than I was hoping for when hitting a truck at speed.

You can't really tell just by looking at a screen shot. This could be the split second the truck and car actually collide with each other, before all the crumpling will take place. Just that fraction of a sec right before the total carnage. Will figure all that out when i get my copy going in my system.

Well maybe (I am doubtful) but the point is lots of people (on other GTA forums) point at this picture and rave on how great that damage is.

Yeah in those last scans there was mention that comedy clubs were not to be missed. It's gonna be awesome! I hope there's some place like CBGB's! :D

As far as just looking at the way the image looks, then i would say....whats the big deal? Doesn't look that fantastic to me. But i don't want to speculate until i pick mine up at midnight:)

If its got burnout levels of damage then it may very well be a perfect game.

When Ive played Burnout Ive always had the urge to get out of the car and rob a liquor store :sly:

Watch trailer 3 when the semi hits the cop car. There's a huge crumple in the middle of the cop car. It's not Burnout damage, but it is mighty damn fine, imo. 👍

Yeah there is damage in almost all the videos for the game, and it always looks pretty darn good. The physics seem off at times, but it still looks good.

Especially when you consider what the damage looked like in past GTA games.

Playing Saints Row on the X360 just for smashing and blowing up cars was what kept the game going for me. I'm sure GTAIV's physics and crash modeling will surpass that game in every way, so I can tell now it's going to be awesome fun.

I just hope you can do lots of silly cheats to do stuff I find hilarious like this (my video by the way): :p

Of course, I won't use them in the missions!

Seen it, watched it frame by frame. While it was nice to see the actual body of the car crumpling rather than previous GTA's where the hood would pop up and bumper fall off, it was not all that extensive really, just a large dent in the middle. Though it did look like one of the wheels suspension broke and got pulled back but I'm not sure if it was going to stay like that.

Oh and

"MS makes fun of GTA IV install time on PS3"

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=187316

According to MS 5 minutes maybe long enough to cure cancer? :p

I really can't see the fuss over a 5 minute install. If the 360 had an option to install I would definitely do it.

Apparently the PS3 install is mandatory, while the Xbox 360 install is optional. Installing reduces frame rate loss (apparently), which would make the install well worth it.

When popping the disc into the PS3 for the first time, you’ll have a brief installation. Don’t worry, it only takes ten minutes or so, and there’s a pleasant bit of GTA history trivia to keep you occupied. So, unlike with Devil May Cry, you’ll be able to eat your sandwich prior to playing the game. On the 360, this installation is optional if you have a hard drive. I advise to proceed with installation—it reduces the already minimal frame rate issues on the 360. When the game finally begins, you’ll be treated to the best opening credit sequence I’ve seen for a game in a long, long time.

Driv3r had some good crash phyics... Looking forward so much to this game.

Yeah, I'm going to make room for the install.

I'm getting a tad concerned with the games you *have* to install in order to play on the PS3. I know there's a lot of HDD space but it'll fill up pretty quickly considering the size of the games.
