actually i think the only thing im upset about is the 4wd lightning. i mean really wtf how could they study all these cars so damn much and make a mistake like that?

As I said before, the game is coming very soon. So if you're a fan, hope you look forward to what the game has to offer. Then after some time, we can look to GT5, or if you have some kids or younger brothers/sisters, you may look forward to "Gran Turismo for Kids." If you want to talk about that specific GT, I made a thread called "Let the Kids Play Already!" that focuses on what COULD be the kid-friendly version of GT.

As far as this GT goes, I'm one to say that I'm willing to accept however this GT comes out. All I know is that Gran Turismo 2 is my least favorite GT because it lacked execution and was actually boring than GT1. I think regardless of what GT4 has to offer over GT3, I think it will be for better than for worse. I think PD worked long and hard on this game regardless of delays, dropping of features, weird gaming issues (for example, not being able to race the Caterhams against others), and thereforth. I'm not trying to sound too prototypical of a GT fan, but it's just that I've been calm about all or most issues concerning GT4. I don't really have a lot of expectations for GT4. My only expectation is to enjoy what I've loved most about the Gran Turismo series and hoping the formula isn't altered to where the game is on a weird tangent apart from the basic formula. It's the same way I've felt about the MegaMan/RockMan series and it's no different from this one.

So basically, GT4 is going to have to be pretty bad in order for me to completely dislike the effort PD put into making this game a modern classic (or at least come close).

Well said....I still think this simple equation applies to GT4..... 700 cars + 50 tracks= hours of fun from the efforts of PD

We WILL be screwed.

Youve got only like 6 days to wait, I have to wait 22, I think I will be the last to play GT4, feels like forever :(

I really don't see why they didn't do a "matrix" style release to everyone... :dopey:

Hopefully its becuase US and PAL are getting improved versons over the Japanese.

Translating to all the languages for PAL of course should take a little longer, maybe the early japanese version is meant to create additional hype for the other markets.

....lots of words....

I agree. I won't be dissappointed unless the game completely sucks. With all the reports I've read about the japanese version, I doubt I could be dissappointed. I wouldn't even know about "lack of online" or other bugs/glitches/omissions if I wasn't such a huge fan of the series, and so I'll try my best not to let the hyper-scruitiny this site has subjected GT4 to ruin my experience.

Regardless of how good the game is or how buggy otherwise....im glad i got a new job yesterday so i dont have to sell one of my organs to the chineese black market in order to pay for it... :)

Amen to all that from another minnesotan. Perhaps its something in the water that keeps us on an even keel that is lacking elsewhere? Unless this game is a absolute, certifable, 100% utter turd....im gonna love it. Even my absolute favorite tuning option is missing *cough* racing modification *cough* im STILL gonna love it.

I plan on eating, sleeping, and breathing GT4 for the forseeable future. It would be nice if all these pessimists and bandwagon jumper-offers would just relax...if you buy it, they will come :dopey:

hey i doknow if everone knows that but US is going to be online gt4. it was confirmed from all the major gt4 sellers who have it on there information.

hey whats gt4 mobile?

Hm...I'm going to guess you haven't been keeping up.

Okay. GT4 isn't online.

GT4 Mobile is a project that was started with the announcement of the PSP, but probably won't be finished for a while, I'm guessing not until LATE 05 at the earliest, even then we'll probably see delays.

never mind forget i knew it was not online but not paying attention to that gay psp sign i forgot so my fault and my appolgies.

My question is...why are you even looking on Ebay for information?...there are many other places that are twice as reliable...

Late '05...
That's probably the case; I'm thinking the port can be completed by Autumn. Of course, it may be more difficult than I think. If it takes PD two months just to switch television formats...
Anyways, I'm not looking forward to a PSP. I don't need it, and besides I hear it has some hardware problems.

You drink the water?

I'm taking the 22nd off of work. I'll be at my Gamestop in the morning with my brother, waiting to purchase our Copies. Probably figure out a way to get the PS2 hooked up to the TV in my Van and we'll just sit out there taking turns playing GT until the store opens 💡
