I actually won a bunch of races on Ninja difficulty. Ninja difficulty was slow compared to the AI from SimBin. I love SimBin's AI.

Damn, now I want to go play Race '07... But, yeah, the fastest AI in SimBin games manages to lap somewhere along the lines of GT Academy winners on some tracks. Estoril, for example... Or Road America.
I wish there was a way in GTR2 to make the ingame steering wheel turn more than 240 degrees but GTR2's AI and Race 07 has the best ai ever. Seriously the only game where the AI actually understands multiclass racing, while still not being perfect its lightyears ahead of anything else to this day. Same goes for Nascar 2003's AI but ive never played that game.

But, also, I played it on 360... Perhaps that was my problem... 360 is for children.

Children don't like brakes.

I've never played Grid before:scared: . @ITCC_Andrew seems to have had a bad experience with previous versions of the game online, does anyone have any experience with Grid 1 on PS3 or PC online other than @Downhill Dino?👍

You must remember tho, ITCC_Andrew is a racing GOD! and we or AIs are no competition for his Ninja style skill set.

We are just mere children in his rear veiw mirror.... He's top thousand on GTA you know

At least it goes all the way to 240 degs, unlike Forza's and GT's.

Be grateful!!

SimBin isn't the game, of course you have never played it.

Now, though, with that said, if CM offer an improved Ninja difficulty, I'm in. Still won't trust online in a Codies game - too many bad experiences.

If you look up F1 2013 online crash videos, you'll understand. Such was my experience every time I played online in every Codies game ever.

That not really the fault of Codemasters though is it? Surely it's the people who don't know what a brake is that's at fault?

That's been my experience every time I try and play in a random online room in GT5 or GT6. Hell, if you just jump in a rookie series in iRacing there's a reasonably high chance that you're going to get crashed if you don't drive very defensively, and iRacing is about as serious at discouraging that sort of behaviour as it gets.

It doesn't have anything to do with the game itself, and has everything to do with the way randoms play on the internet.

Watched that other video he also destroys the a.i. on hard on his first attempt.

That first race is a tutorial.... so AI difficultly is set in Medium and mechanical damage set to Visual Only. Assists are set to ON. After the tutorial, you can customise your settings for the career ;)

I am very impressed with what I have seen so far and it is something very positive that almost all the commentary within the youtube videos are very positive about the handling and experience they get. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Maybe a strange question but can tirewear be switched off online in the endurance category?

Another question...

Can all cars be used on all tracks?

All cars can be used on all tracks, with a few exceptions (Open wheelers in a drift event etc) :)

As for the tyre wear in endurance online, I'm not sure.... but I'm pretty sure you can use endurance cars in a 'Race' event and set to maximum laps. That way, you get an endurance race with no tyre wear (and in Day time aswell if you want)

Haha. I realize going on random lobbies in all games is a real crapshoot but I have no experience with XBox so I was wondering if it was any different than PS or PC. I was actually toying with the idea of getting the game for PC in the hopes that the quality of driver might be a little higher than your typical console.

It's hardly going to be worse. I'll be getting it for PC for a few reasons. One, it'll look nicer. Two, it'll probably have better patch support. Three, it'll probably have mods. Four, it'll probably be cheaper for me, living as I do on the arse end of the world. Five, I don't have to get up and turn the console on. :)

*UPDATE* Day 1 DLC.... Console turn on-erer.... :p

I should imagine there is a high level of player on all three, like any game its finding the right group and adding to your friends list. Im on PS3 and have some very quick and clean people on my list, not sure how many will be getting Autosport tho.

I'll be getting it :P..... Seriously though, I'm on PS3 too..... looking forward to lots of good racing :D

Not sure tbh... soon as far as I know. You might want to try the facebook page and ask the Community Manager. He'll have more info :D
I've made up my mind - if you can give me a comparison between AI and real touring car driver lap times, I'll probably buy the game.

Please include all AI difficulty levels :)

In my opinion multiplayer on the PC is much better than PS or Xbox, at least for racing (that's all I do). Also haven't done much "arcade" racing online though. It's not that you can't find some good racing on the consoles but in general the consoles have more of a younger and/or less serious following (this is a broad stroke so don't take to heart). I have been jumping in random AC, GSCE, pCARS, and DTM lobbies and so far every event was for the most part very clean. Your mileage may vary!

Didn't know consoles could be for 'children'.

Back to Grid Autosport...

I hope it brings back memories from 1999 when in england a friend, we made flying RC gliders in F3F, showed me TOCA and i first learned about Codemasters

You wiff of PC snobbism Fuzzy (only joking) :D

Over the years i have done some epic racing on PS3, from Shift to GT and many more.

I have always found high level groups to race with, very quick but most of all very clean,
i know loads hate Shift2 but for me they was the best days, we had a great group on GTP
and had some epic championships, most of all it was great fun, even with all the games faults.

Can you remember them days Fuzzy, was we ( I ) less serious back then? :)

If GRID Autosport is as good as its looking, it would be great to get some touring car championships going,
like the good old days on PS3 :D

My first experience of racing online was with TOCA 3 on the PC. Used to have some great races in the Honda Civics around Brands Hatch

Really looking forward to those days again.... I'm sure a few of you on here will be good to race against. :)

I say Race against.... what I really mean is, completely destroy you! lololololol :)

Question for you anim8r. Any info on when Steam version will be up for pre-order?

Off topic: I wonder why the Steam versions of next-gen games don't get as much coverage as the PS4/X1 variants.

To be honest, I haven't even seen Steam being brought up as much as the other two on popular gaming sites.
