Oh. Oh crap. Bye. I'll be at the closest game store...

Where the heck is that!?
I got scammed. How come you guys are getting it today and my local EB Games said I can't have it until 10 am tomorrow?

It's because I pre-ordered from Best Buy and had them ship to my house. They make their best estimate to ship it on a date when they think it will get to my house on release date, but I guess the post office was efficient and I got it a day early.

I just played a bit. I will post my first impressions in a bit. I'll start a new thread.

But you should totally post a link. :D

Yeah I chose to do online as well. I can wait I guess. :indiff:

But what's everyone doing first? Offline or Online?

Offline. Offline is the only fair way to learn the tracks without starting off online on the wrong foot - damaging your cars etc.

I am very much in doubt here. In one way I would like to learn the tracks first and get the hang of the handling and on the other side I really would like to start my own team and just race online. The first x-races I can take it slowly and just learn the tracks, drive a bit more safe and brake a bit earlier. The idea of racing for your own team/club with your own liveries is attractive.

I raced a bit online in F1 2012 and I used to race a lot online in the early days of GT5 but after that mostly offline single player.

Really would like to gather/buy a few cars to put in my online garage and maintain them. I am still undecided which way I will go in the end but the online part has a slight edge for the moment.

About damn time I get to play a game that has the MP4/12C GT3 in it!

I'm happy with the name that has been chosen and I can't wait to pick up my pre-order at lunch time on Friday!

Was just looking at the Grid AS section on RaceNet and can't wait to start comparing stats with you guys!

I didn't realise until today that there is a YouTube upload function within the game, anyone know how long the clips can be?

Also, are the RaceNet rankings for all platforms or am I only seeing the rankings for my chosen platform?

I see that ATA Autosport is currently the top ranking club at level 3!

Gamespot review seems a bit harsh, only 6/10 due to the AI supposedly not being adapted to the different categories, handling model being too forgiving and the need to do all disciplines to progress to the championship:

The other reviews are convincing me to pick it up though; thumbs up for the democratic pricing for a new copy 👍

Still undecided on whether I should get the PS3 version or PC version... decisions.

If you're a graphics whore, get the PC version with the available free hi-res texture pack. The PS3 version looks a little jagged when it shows close-ups of the car after the race. I don't really care about graphics very much unless it's really really bad, so it doesn't bother me, but it's noticeable.

Yeah... that review has us stumped here too..... they gave Grid 2 an 8.5

Now... personally, I think Grid 2 is a good game... but Autosport is much better imo. Seems a bit harsh.

This is the reason I'm not a fan of review scores/percentages. I'd prefer them to be an 'opinion' and let the player/reader make up their mind.... without the need for a (sometimes random) number attached to it.

Saying that..... it is awesome when you see your game has got a 9/10 :D:D:D
