I think I might have figured out my issues with Endurance. I was doing the Grid Grand Slam, and the final round was Endurance at Spa Sportscar Reverse. I had already won the championship, so I didn't push too hard. But I realised at one point that I was doing 200km/h. I'm not really looking at the HUD - instead, I'm going by the engine note to figure out what speed I'm doing. Because the Endurance cars are so different, I have to change all of my braking markers.

Damn they talk during the race  I am just to occupied to hear anything else than my engine and that winding gearbox
Press up to get the gap to the car ahead. Press right to get the gap to your team-mate. Press down to get an update on you event rival's position. Press left to get an update on any damage you have.

Unfortunately, there is no way to get the gap to the car behind, unless that car is your team-mate or your rival.

Get yourself a pre-paid credit card for stuff like that. I don't trust the internet either with my data, so I juiced up a pre-paid card and I just add to it when I want to buy something. Costs me $40/year but I look at it as aggravation insurance. If you keep a low balance your exposure is minimal.
Paypal works good also. And i don't think you need to worry if you buy from amazon neither.

So my save file corrupted...

At least I hadn't made that much progress (hadn't even unlocked the first GRID Series offline). Guess this gives me an excuse to make a new RaceNet account. At least it's free to do lol.

You're not alone my friend, my savefiled corrupted 3 times in the last 24hours.
Codemasters lack of QA keeps on surprising me considering that this issue also occured on Grid 2, thank god that they are already aware of the issue and are working on a fix. Now the good news, both my savefile and my PS+ savefile are corrupted so this will give me an excuse to retire from Grid Autosport until the supposed first patch hits on PS3, I refuse to start fresh after all the hard work that I have done in the past week.

I put in quite a few hours since release and completely forgot about backing up data. It pays to back up to a USB and then copy and paste to the PC just in case the USB save is corrupted. You'll always have the next older save around if the latest is corrupt. This saved me a couple of times with GT.

Not good reading this :( Any idea when the patch fix is due?:nervous:

No idea, all we know is that since July 2nd they have found the problem and sent the patch to the QA team, now keep in mind that the console patches take way more time to arrive than a PC patch.

In the last couple of days we've been receiving reports that players were experiencing save files becoming corrupt. Since then the team have been working tirelessly to not only diagnose the problem but also create a fix.

We can now confirm that we have located the cause of this problem and a fix has been created and applied to a patch. This patch is currently undergoing QA tests to ensure that it is working as expected before we deploy it to the live servers.

Once this patch has been pushed live we expect those saves that have been corrupted to be 'fixed' and you'll once again be able to carry on your GRID Autosport career where you left off.

Same here, better make a backup ASAP

Is there anything that triggers this corruption of the save file? Was it because the game got stuck and you did a forced reset on the PS?

I just switched it on today and it said it was corrupted... think there's no obvious cause.

I dont know what triggers it althought, I remember yesterday in the middle of the track loading I got a black screen and was unable to quit from the game or use the controller so I was forced to restart the console. Afterwards the save might appeared to be fine but it wasn't, today I used that file 3 times and any progress made after that always gets me the "Your savefile is corrupted" warning.

Has anyone seen K&N Motorsport as a selectable team? It's the only team that I'm missing for the Journeyman trophy. I'm up to level 9 on all disciplines and I haven't even seen them once as selectable.

Journeyman counts offline only, or...? ;) my favorite orange team (not club)

I've never had a save file get corrupted, but I back up my save after every season in case that happens. But these kinds of things seem to happen more on PC than consoles.

Come home, having put an order for GA down, what do I see?

:grumpy: Perhaps I should just give up gaming, it seems fate likes to dig it's middle finger in my eye at every possible moment.

Holy crap. "I've never seen an offer from them, and I'm in season 30."

Season 30!?!

That's just...damn.
I'm doing a Cat-B Touring championship right now, and they are good. Really good, as in good enough to beat Ravenwest. You usually get offers from teams that you beat, so maybe you need to beat K&N, but not Ravenwest.

And if you looked a little closer, you would see Codemasters are aware of the issue and are in the process of patching it.

Personally, I haven't had it happen to me, and I do races here and there, saving and loading very frequently. I don't play online, so maybe it's the online component that is tripping the bug.

If it's a sizable patch, I'm SOL due to time-outs.

I do hope that is the case. I already have one game that is being screwy, I'd hate to break a brand new game because of a bug and my anger.

I don't know anything about that. All I know is that they are aware of the issue and are patching it.
Yeah, being on capped satellite brings....challenges. I MIGHT be able to get a patch or update if it's about 300MB or less, but I don't know for sure as the only game I've tried is GT6.

Grid 2 had the same issue but I got away scot-free. Seems to be an (un)lucky draw.

And yes, Codies are working on a fix.
