Game looks too arcadey to me. Its F3 and the way he was drivcing he could catch up to the guys.. and he is not even using proper race line...
I pass on the game,
Thanks for the videos :)

actually, that was me driving & finished dead last. :(

GRID does have 2 issues, but is the most enjoyable racing on console that i've ever raced.

appears both PS3 / PC suffer from:

1. central / single "pivot point" [or just not good steering handling]
2. The body roll inertia "Force Feedback" feedback is way too strong and causes the car to sway from side to side

jopefully CM will patch these 2 issues. besides that, GRID is TOP NOTCH !

i like the AI in GRID: many more 'realistic' mistakes, spins, AI - AI crashes w debris.
[they DO tend to bang into you at times, seems to be an industry wide issue :(]
this is the most fun AI i've felt though, and have it set to "EXTREME" = highest, there are about 5 levels below EXTREME though

Yeah i play at Extreme too (pro mode) and its pretty hard at times... i actually rarely finish 1st in a race. I'm doing the first Open Wheel challenge in America and i can't for the love of me, finish more then 5th.. arg!

But really fun

Grid's a great game..has it's flaws and it's handling is typical Codemaster...but I had more fun playing Grid than I've ever had playing Gran Turismo (Take note of this game PD!). Playing on Ninja is quite fun though, always play my free mode destruction derby games on Ninja, thankfully I never need the flashbacks lol.

Plus you get some spectacular crashes, not often you get "Driven"esque moments of an F3 car flipping in the air and you just manage to drive under it's nose as it spins mid air.

I'm having a blast with it. I just ought it yesterday at BlockBusters her in my little burg. Our WalFart didn't have it which is strange as they normally get all the new releases even if it is just two copies:confused::odd: I bought a copy of GT5P a couple weeks ago(Japanese VErsion) for $20 shipped. I will tell you right now that if I had paid $40 for it I would have been pissed:grumpy: The graphics are great and all But I don't know of ANY car even running on dead cylinders that will not accelerate or bog down when the wheels are turned past 10degrees. That had me so put off. Bought a Stang andwas telling myself...yeah, good powerful V8 in light weeight ride means down the road quick. Not so, I'll take the corner spin outs in GRID any day before that crap. Atleast with that spin out probability in GRID you know to take the corners a bit more seriously. I'd rather a spin out cost me a race more than poorly bogged down car. I also like the fact that the AI isn't perfect either. Nothing burned me up more than a predictable robot like AI. Atleats Grid gives the feeling that the rest of the cars are being driven by imperfect beings as well and are just as prone to spin out and rollovers as I am.👍

Yeah i think the GT team can learn alot about AI from CM, they have done well with the AI in Grid because they seem to actually challenge you and as said they make mistakes, but they also drive really well on the higher difficulty levels. A big part of this is the fact that you can start in any position on the GRID, so you are always in the action/race (wasnt this a big part of their selling point before release, seems they were telling the truth). GT just becomes boring because its the same stick to the line AI and you never real like you're racing them, just passing them. The damage also adds alot to the racing. theres nothing like braking hard to avoid a collision with a spinning car, especially from the cockpit with wheels and body parts flying everywhere, and the smoke!! In GT, if the AI does make a mistake, they get strait back in line, eventless, or spin out of the way. No fun. I'm a GT lover and have been since GT1, but they AI has not really progressed, but it's time they improved this. Take a leaf from Codies book.
