Wednesday Night Geezer Race

Tuning permitted for all races. T - 3X F - 3X
For all 3 races: Road cars only, 600PP - no Swap engine - Tires: Any Sport
1st race: Road Atlanta - 10 laps
2nd race: St. Croix C - 5 laps
3rd race: Nordschleife - 4 laps T - 2X , F - 1X

You can use your car only once, so a new car for each track.

Room opens at 7:30 pm EDT , Race starts at 8:00
Open to all Geezers friends and friends of friends

Quali starts 10.00 ET, 15.00 UK. (This will take place during our usual Sunday racing. Lobby opens 08.30 ET 13.30 UK)


Car: GR3 Renault R.S.01

Track/Laps: Interlagos, 20 Laps

Tyres: RH/RM both to be used during race. Quali open choice.
The tyre multiplier is x8 and the fuel is x6. We start with a full tank.

Practise/Qualification: 20 minutes. 5 min break before race.



Tuning: OPEN. (including wing, wide body etc etc if available)

Race and Track conditions:
Weather: Sunny and Clear Day (we will try a few different formats but no rain for now)
Laps: 5 to 9 depending on track length

Fuel: consumption during race will be set at 100 liters and 7x for all races.
Qualify: fastest first for every race

John: after Wednesday's Geezer night, I reviewed my settings for the Alpine A110 that ViperAl loves so much and which you spectated. It needed a couple of tweaks and I think that you may enjoy it. It is such a joy to drive. The updated tune is at the end of the replay video. Useful feedback from anyone who tests it is welcomed.

BTW, my lap time is less than half a second away from my ideal time, here. The car is that reliable.

(I still haven't figured out how to manually select a better still-frame for YouTube's videos...)

Keluna, You just need to send a friend request to join the lobby since the races are not public rooms. You don't need to be in the lobby at the time the room opens. The races are typically about 5 laps unless the track is short or very long.

Ford Mustang Gr.3 Road Car preliminary settings

This is a general tune for the Mustang Gr.3 Road Car. It was tested on a variety of tracks. The default settings are OK, but this one is more versatile, even though I need more time to improve it further.

However, it was tuned on Sport Hard tires because the Sport Soft tires kill all feeling of its handling. I have never felt such a lifeless / numb car in GT7 as this one on Sport Soft tires. The difference was stark. If you feel the need for more grip than on Hards, I recommend no more than Mediums (I didn't bother even trying them). The weight of the car gives sooo much grip on Hards that you don't need more. Try them first.

I am not sure that I can make it early in the morning, so feedback to improve this tune is welcomed.

The problem with the brake I am still figuring out but I found a temporary solution. If you change the motor to "Compatible Mode" (purple) instead of "PS Mode" (Blue) the problem does not come up. When you change to compatible mode, the FFB lowers, but you can compensate with the in game mode (1 up in my case).
I have contact Fanatec Support and waiting for the answer.
