Hello .

Does anybody know when the leader board updates itself .For some strange reason it doesn't update rankings when i leave track.

Thanks Maz,

Although today I'm currently not on the best of days on GT5, struggling up till this point only taking 0.059 off, and I know I can go a lot faster. But you never know what the rest of the day may bring, or the rest of the month for that matter :P.

Good luck everyone I can imagine this getting rather difficult rather quick :P!

Im streaming for anyone interested.

The Nissan is very difficult to drive.

I drove a 2:25:3xx lap, my target is a good 2:23:xxx time.:)

2:22.5xx at the moment, at least another second to be had for me. Rank 227 as I type, but so far off top 50!

For now I'm 22nd in the netherlands. My 2:20.213 was an outlap with some mistakes, so there's some more time to win.
I wanted to be in top50 of my country so for now I'm satisfied.

Had a couple of hours on it today.. Am loving the track now I know where I'm going :dopey:

Managed to get into the 18's.. Had some good laps cooking but always funked up towards the end of the lap.

Some great times there already.. 👍 Got a feeling it will be way tougher to stay in the top 20 this year.. let alone top 5.. :scared:

Dan

Hey Dan, long time no see.

Just had an odd experience - had not touched GT since last night, turned it on and did my outlap and on the 2nd lap managed to better my previous time by 2tenths...mental!

So I've just turned it off again.....

Jesus!! Can you send one of those odd experience's over here.. :)

Nice to see so many familiar names on the leader boards going well. I'm quite surprised at how competitive the times are so early on (in previous competitions it's taken a week or so to really get warmed up). I think this is going to be the toughest Academy qualifier so far.

I ran about 30 laps last night mostly learning the track and had a few decent laps towards the end resulting in my current time. I can see a lot more time to come off but I'm not in any rush this year! It's very different being ineligible - I'm missing the excitement of competition but at the same time enjoying feeling nice and relaxed.

I don't expect I'll be anywhere near the top 20 at any stage but I'll be having fun putting in a few laps every so often. I'm also hoping to be at the national final so would be great to meet friends old and new. 👍

Well done superdan on going top in UK and World rankings. That time surely is good enough for Top 20 in the competition already? I wonder how long before someone breaks the 2:17.5 barrier.

Currently sitting at 2:19.738 good for 40th in the UK Leagues, I'm happy with that, since I'm not actually eligible to win this competition anyway :p

i have had an odd moment like that.. i hadnt played last night.. got up and on my actual out lap moved up 23 places lmao.. incredible

UK/Ireland's Top 20 time will need to be in the 2:17.xxx's I predict...

I'd love to get a list of people who arn't going to be able to compete though, just for peace of mind haha!

Thanks. I hope so, but with six weeks remaining who know's :)
I think by the end we may see a 16.9.

So as some of you may know im a little new to the wheel thing, so decided to go back to my pad and instantly took .4 of my time with ease lol. Sitting at 2:18.4. 17 Barrier should be broken tonight with ease.

Unsure whether my wheel still is setup wrong for my driving style or what but I have so much control with the pad (I guess the prepatch x2010 gold helped alot with control) I'm going to stick with it I think.

you done 2.18 with pad.. dam i should spend more time than 4 or 5 laps at a time lol

Ye but I've played most of GT5 with a Pad so I'm more used to it than the wheel im using, just need more practice with the wheel I think, or mess about with settings. But the pad seems so much easier for now :D. Ill get 17.5 with a Pad then return to the wheel for some general practice I think :).

17.5 on pad? lol id love to see that happen, to see a 17.9 on pad id be amazed....

As for my predictions i think 2'17.9xx to qualify and quickest time in EU of 2'17.0, also quite suprised with the early high pace.

Seen 5 people high up that cant enter, so 25th a guaranteed place (well at this stage).

17.6 has been done on a pad already, if you check CrazyLegs out :).

what settings you got?

Abs: 1, Everything else: Off, Controller Sens: 7.

Wow, genuinely amazed... (.724 but still) lol but that wont help him do well at the national final though really. Just a thought what is to stop somebody doing the whole lap on a wheel, disconnecting it and using pad to cross the line? wouldnt that show pad? not saying anybody has or would just a thought.

Also new fastest lap but turismoGTI .518
