I'm a bit lost by all this talk of different events etc, only joined in from the GTA January 2013 and that was a straight forward "month to set the best time" and job done.

Can someone explain briefly how it will work this time around or provide a link doing so, thanks.

Indeed. It's still not crystal clear but to me it sounds like it'll be the same as last year but you'll be able to progress through the beginning to the final TT straight away on day one, then you have 26 days to set your time.

Ireland isn't listed in the eligible countries in that article? Is Ireland ruled out altogether or is it part of the UK as far as they're concerned? I just can't understand when Ireland was included last year and not this year...I hope I'm wrong

Only 13 hours longer to wait! :D

Your one of my predictions for a national final place, along with Tidgney. Hopefully better luck for tidgney at the national finals this year.

I on the other hand will be participating on a fun basis as my little 1 year old has prevented any practice since last academy, top 100 in UK is my aim. Cant wait for tomorrow, tempted to sneak home on my lunch for an hour.

So is the system similar to last time, where you had different challenges over a few weeks, then in the last week you have the track time trial?

EDIT: Just read a previous article, so it is. I prefer just the one-off time trial like PD did with Indianapolis. Anyone can do the earlier challenges.

I'm from sweden and will compete in the gt academy, but I don't understand how it works, I have a few questions... I'm in Europe region btw,,, 16 countries.

Will top 20 gt players in each country meet together and compete for coming to silverstone? So will it be the fastest guy from each country that goes past to silverstone from europe region?

I suppose it might be different in different countries. In Sweden, there will be a National Final at Sturup on the 22nd to 23rd of August. The four fastest people from the online competition (from Sweden) + the 2 fastest people from the special Live Event at Falkenberg on the 12th and 13th of July will compete for a spot at the race camp at Silverstone.

All according to this press release from Nissan: http://news.cision.com/se/nissan-no...ighet-att-bli-en-riktig-rallyforare-,c9436643

That sounds about right I think. From what I've gathered/read/tried to understand the Nordic countries are grouped so I would assume this would also be the case for the other countries involved where spots (Limited) are then given to the fastest from those particular countries which then makes up your territory final.

Slovakia gets a place in the latest GT academy while Slovenia again doesn't...

Hey man.. Does Slovenia have a ps store? Becuase Slovakia doesn't. And it's about two times bigger than Slovenia..

Hi guys, I'm new to gran turismo and to this forum and im getting pretty excited about gt academy! I've had a go at the London tt and finished in the top 4k and am about 3.5k in the merc both with a couple of hours play. It will be interesting to see how I can develop when I really focus on a tt and if I finish the academy in the top 1000 this year I will be quite pleased! If anyone else is new (or not!) as well and wants to add me to compare progress my psn is DBY___86 (that's 3 underscores!) it would be good to get some racing going too without going in the open lobbies as I hear they aren't so clean?
Anyway, good luck tomorrow everyone!

No disrespect to your country mate. Yes we are small and Sony doesn't see any marketing promise here. So yea, Slovenia will probably never see the academy. Just a bit disappointed.

Thanks mate, I'm sure I recall racing with you before the academy last year? 👍
I will be hoping to make the cut this year, I've got no excuses and I've certainly done all I can to prepare :)

Can't find the registration myself either.
