Found that I dropped nearly a hundred places (330th to 430th) in only 6 hours. I'm getting annihilated here

The thing is I find that using bandit karter ghost helps but I'm still having problems keeping up in the 2nd and last sector

Does anybody know about how many players have currently submitted times for GTA 13? Just want to know how I'm doing compared to the competition

Found a second practically as soon as I started up the system

Down to a 2:19.990. which is just world top 1000.

Finally managed to break into the 2:18s with a 2:18.858. Just another second to shave off and I might be quick enough

I estimate that somewhere around 70,000 have actually submitted a time for the qualifier itself.

2nd/12th, although I expect to drop a little further than that by tomorrow, it's getting quite busy in the 2:17's :)

Welldone so what place pass's as a Qualified for the real thing when GTA's finished?

So, I've realised that using controller sensitivity 7 instead of 0 helps quite a lot! Should be able to go quite a bit faster when I have another serious run, I'm out tomorrow so may not get chance until Friday :(

Top 16 in the UK go to national finals, and then top 6 from there go to boot camp if it's the same as last year. Then I think whoever wins boot camp wins the whole thing. :)

Controller sensitivity affects steering wheels? I thought that was just for controllers.

Last night I only got to put in a full lap in once, as it was 5AM. I got 6th overall for the US, I'm sure I've been bumped back if all the talk is about 2:17:xxx.

Does anybody have advice for the long left hand sweeper beginning sector 2?

Same here
As the word says, controller sensitivity is only for controllers and doesn't affect steering wheels.
BTW, "Simulation mode", "pro" and "amateur" steering wheel settings are only for non 900 degree steering wheels.

Anyway, sometimes placebo fixes some things.

I've just gotten into the 17's with a really bad maggots, becketts and chapel cost me all down the straight! Great time Spurgy 👍. I am loving this really with the combo new physics and stuff really really enjoyable :D

For anyone who may be struggling this is footage from my first visit to the qualifier yesterday, (I realise my internet isn't quick :P) might help you just my thoughts as I went through it just figuring things out :)!

Number of players is listed here,

I did think about doing a really slow lap with another PSN profile to see how many had taken part but didn't fancy doing all the lead up events to the main thing again.

Where does that put you?

All leaderboards can be seen (and the qualifying main one) filtered by country here Gedi

I thought this at first but it does actually make a difference, it's quicker to correct slides and you can use less steering lock to achieve the same steering angle 👍

Hey guys, pls, which challenge in GT Academy is the most important for qualification? The last one with full lap of Silverstone?

I disagree. I think your mind is just playing tricks on you.

Yes.

I reckon by the end i could just scrape a 2:17, just. Hopefully thatll be enough, specially as ive only been playing GT since January! I aint gonna be able to match bandits time though, good lap bandit!

I did 2:19:1xx and I think i'm close to my limits...maybe a 18:7 :)

It's hard to shave tenths with a DS3 :D

Stop cimplaining about abs 10... i use abs 1 but in my eyes abs 1 gives alot better braking but slightly slower corner grip. Abs 10 gives slightly better corner grip but less braking so i see as it as it evens uts self out and depends on the driving style i don't see it ad cheating to those who said it was

Remember i run abs 1.

How are people already getting onto the final time trial? Thought it was suppose to open when the qualifier closed, yet there's 16 times on the leaderboard.
