GT Academy prize cars

Log out, then log back in. Worked for me, I only had the car on a sub account before I did that.

Might suck if they're gifting the cars to only one "ip address". Pretty sure sony and whoever involved could be able to track this. The main part of it all is the competition right? So wouldn't they have some kind of system to make sure people don't qualify on multiple accounts to make the finals etc. Which leads back to my thinking of how the cars will be gifted.

Unfortunately I'm in the same boat, just the Leaf. (The most undesirable of the cars in my opinion)

I think I'm just going to go to sleep and hope they are all available when I wake up, though I'd be interested in knowing how exactly they get released (Every other hour, all at once or over unspecific intervals)

Hopefully Y'all keep us posted, I'd appreciate the information mostly to sate my own curiosity.

Im just going to wait patiently, as i think we all should. There isnt really anything new here so im not in a rush for them. For me they are just trophies for my completion of the GTA qauli round.

edit - I forget people who didnt get the DLC still get the Leaf and R35 '12, So i see why some are looking forward to it.

Only the leaf has been received here in the states. Also unreadable. Mine is the blue I used in gt academy.

Really feel gt5 is falling down on the job. Get it together poly or I go to forza!!

I guess we'll probably be getting the cars one at a time. I just woke up not too long ago, logged onto PSN on my PS3 and booted up GT5, all I got was the GT Academy edition Nissan Leaf. I wonder when the rest of the cars are going to be released.

Not really bothered by just recieving one car so far, but what really fustrates me is PD's lack of communication. If it is their intentions on sending a car a day, or whatever their game plan is, I think they should let us know instead of keeping us in the dark and wondering whats going on. I was under the assumption that on, or after the 4th, we would recieve all of our cars at once, not one at a time. PD needs to learn that good communication with its customers will go a long way. Its just good buissiness sense.

I've just got the leaf and,out of curiosity,loaded gt academy and it said it was unavailable.

So I thought, I can't play it,so I'll delete it.

I then realised that I might not get the rest of the cars if the game is deleted but it was too late to stop the deletion.

The game save data is still there on my hard drive but the actual game isn't.

Do you think my extra cars have now gone or will I be lucky?

You are registered so I think you still get them.

I used a different PS3 them the one I had academy on and I still got my Leaf, can't wait till I get the others. (but gonna have too)

Couldn't have said it better, we get little/no information at all and in this day & age that's not good, all the means of communication that they could use and they take advantage of very little of it. 👎

May be we should send the 16 year old japanese person in charge of the server some sake and she/he will pick up the pace Converting/Matching the GT5 accounts to the Leaf award ticket system. (or may be if people stopped playing online the Servers would be quicker speeding the hole thing up.)
As you can see from the posts here they have not got though the 1.1M user yet as people are posting that they don't have there leaf prizes yet.

Your last sentence makes no sense. So what if no one uses the car. PD does not get any kind of bonus just because players use a certain car. Releasing one car at a time makes no sense at all. According to your theory, at launch the game should have had a lot less cars so as not to have any "collect dust".

Yeah what Mark said, the decals should be different, the one you get now should say GT Academy 2012 instead of GT Academy PS3. And it should come in the new colour Aurora Flare Blue Pearl (2P), (and you won't be able to trade it).

Even though I agree that it doesn't make any difference to PD, in theory it could make a difference to Nissan.

Looking at this thread people seem to be using the Leaf, which would not have been the case if all cars were released at once.
Combined with this study https://www.gtplanet.net/study-gran-turismo-makes-you-want-cars/ it could make people want the Leaf more.
The study however talks about "make" and not "model" and as all of the GTA cars are Nissans it should make no difference...
Well, just a thought. 💡

In truth I think it wouldn't make any difference at all, but I liked exploring this train of thought.
