GT Academy prize cars

13 hours since my last post.. still no news.. I really must wonder what is going through PDs head.

On a side note, to those saying "stop complaining about free cars" We all earned those cars, they weren't handouts for downloading GT:A or a July 4th celebration gift.

Personally I think we have every right to be annoyed about the lack of information about when our prizes will be arriving. =/

Prizes will be distributed one week after all "GT Academy 2012" events have concluded (on or after July 4, 2012).

Kind of blunt info but it is what it is. I myself would like to know exactly when but I'll take what it says for now, if we're still waiting a week from now I'd start complaining more then.

It clearly says "On or AFTER July 4th".

That can't be any more clear really...
 
I believe from now we'll get one or two cars per-day. Then the gear on the final day, we should have all the cars and the drivers gear by the end of the week or Monday.

I will report back at 12am (New York time) on whether or not PD sent another GTA car my way.

I took my Leaf car out for a drive (bone stock) on second account and won all 3 "Sunday Cup" races in it, finished 2nd on the second race on first try because I forgot that the traction control was set to 5. Changed it in first race but done it with RA function and as you know it's not saved doing it that way.

The only really clear thing about this ambiguous statement is this -

Which means we're not getting anything until 04JUL2012 and you better have yours collected by 25JAN2013. A 6 month time frame is not what I consider "clear". Please keep in mind I am uninterested, at best, on when or even if, these cars hit my garage. I just don't agree that "...on or after July 4th 2012..." can't be more clear. There is all kinds of room for clarity there. About 200 days, in my estimation.

Ambiguity is such a wonderful thing isn't it.

I doubt seriously that we'll have to "wait" that long but the possibility cannot be ruled out by that "clear" statement of intent.

I'm really starting to hate waiting now to be honest. Wait wait wait wait wait. Geez, the waiting is getting so annoying now UGH PD MAN!!! O_O Sorry had to say it. :p

Edit: But really. I'm really starting hate that PD just makes us for freakin everything...

Nothing to be sorry for. I don't think PD, or whomever is actually managing that process, will take that long to push them out either. I wouldn't even want to hazard a guess as to the why but I'm sure they have reasons for doing it however they decide.

RT, check your PMs in a few please.

Oh you're absolutely right. I'm not saying "let's break out the pitchforks" here.

It's just I understand why people are annoyed about a lack of information or updates on what's happening.

Plus the Leaf is such a tease because it's kind of the "warm up" car for the people new to Gran Turismo.

Or or AFTER is the key part, though incredibly vague it also covers their ends from any kind of "you broke your promise" rants.. still, I'd just like to know when the cars are arriving, mostly so I can let my partner drive the tuned 370 so she can have her own go at the round 8 final event

Only want the GT-R 35 tuned road car.

Combines the weight reduction and Race car aero package of this...

Honda have had it as the top dog for long enough on the seasonals.
Its the Nissan GT-R 35 Black Tuned Road car time to shine... in all event that ban race cars and restrict BHP.
 
Just logged in today, and got the Leaf (and only the Leaf, of course). A gift from Gran Turismo (in the Community section).

I wonder if they'll stagger it out on the same time scale as the Academy demo? (so, over the next month or so).

Regardless, I'm looking forward to some of these cars :)

@R1600Turbo I wouldn't waste your time mate, if somebody can't work out that they are only saying that you need to log into gt5 before the 2013 date to collect the cars it's not worth replying.
