what would time progression be set to to make 24 laps = 24 hours ? I want to do this Le mans style arcade race at la sarthe ? Does anyone know ? That would mean 1 lap would be 1 hour ?

Thanks

All you need is you average lap time and some math. You can get a ballpark average lap time by doing a hot lap and adding say 5-10 seconds to it. This is to take pitstops and tyre wear into account.

The formula to get the correct time scale for 1 lap in 1 hour using the average lap time is:
60 / (minutes + (seconds / 60))

An average lap time of 3:20 gives you time scale of 18, 3:32 gives 17 and 3:45 gives 16. Weather will of course throw everything off as you'll be doing way slower lap times during heavy rain.

Somewhere between 7 and 10

Just curious , what would it be for 48 laps ?
It would all depend on the track and cars used, use a 2CV vs a Ferrari on SSRX, one lap in the 2CV is 21 minutes, but I don't know what a Ferrari laptime would be. @Zkippe and @AJHG1000 have good points for it though.
