Ea has officially cut t10 out of the mix for getting the porsche sublicense now, just like they have done to the gt series forever. So now the only way any of us can drive a porsche in a racing game is through the non realistic extremely arcadic need for speed games, which suck horrifically. Everybody here should send emails to ea and express their anger, if you want to ever see porsche in gran turismo or forza alike. i know most people here dont care for forza, but if you care for your own gran turismo games you will do this. i know i am petitioning them and not buying another ea product until the situation with them not allowing porsche in any other racing game is fixed. it wouldnt hurt to email porsche directly neither to let them know that they r making huge mistakes by allowing ea to hold the exclusive licensing to them in videogames, and how bad ea makes their cars look, etc. ea has done this with the nfl license as well and now are almost complete with pulling it off with the porsche car brand. so if you wanna ever see porsche in this game, in gt6 perhaps then its time to do something about it. (not that i hate ruf, i love ruf awesome rides)
 
Who says NFS sucks horrifically? IMO, they're awesome. Who ever said a racer has to be realitsic to be awesome? So please, STFU :P
 
I don't get why Porsche a brand that prides itself in how people view their cars would choose to license out their cars to games that value nos and rims over any hint of realism in the driving experience.
 
I think I should get a dead horse, name it Porsche and beat the he'll out of it.

oh god , why ea did that i love porsches as much as i like GT-R'S and i like GT-R'S as much as i like my life.

it would be nice if you put ea email so it will be easy to contact them , its horrible i hate it i want porsche in gran turismo -_- ...
 
Yeah Porsche managers actin like Siena's mentally retarded people. Facepalm for booth of them. Kids will grow loving Vettes GT-Rs Ferrari Lambos.. Porsche what's that? Rufs are faster! :sly:
 
The problem here is Porsche not EA, They bought a license and they can do whatever they want with it, they paid for that, if they don't want to use it is their problem. Porsche make a decision: they don't care about T10, EA or PD, they just looked for the money and who was able to give them the most.

Yo can't name EA as "dicks" or "dumbass", in any case they were grateful with T10 by let it them use their license for 3 games, now for any reason (good or no good, we don't know how the negotiations were taken, what EA wanted,and what t10 and PD offered in their respective time) they said "NO" but it's their money, finally porsche take a decision and they are responsible of their brand.

Boycott EA Games? that's childish, I love some EA Games (battlefield, dead space, NFS, FIFA, Burnout) and just because a license issue with a company I'm not going to stop playing those games.
 
Anyway EA aren't genius either, what about the lack of support of Shift 2 Unleashed for consoles? :irked: ... Sure they lost a customer here.
 
The only 'blame' you can give to Porsche is selling their exclusive license to EA at some point (probably for a lot of money and thereby avoiding the hassle of dealing with many other game developers and perhaps because they simply didn't care which videogames feature their cars), what EA does with it is their choice/responsibility and like most things in the corporate world it isn't worth getting hung up about finding reasons or 'conspiracies' since it undoubtedly is a money question foremost.
Funnily enough, marketingwise the absence of Porsche in a a lot of videogames and people talking about this absence and how much they'd like Porsche to be included might be a masterstroke ironically, who mentions Ferrari and Lamborghini anymore?

Basically it appears like Porsche is playing hard to get whilst in reality EA is a very selective pimp.

Don't you think it's odd that MS has the exclusive Ferrari license on the 360 and suddenly Shift 2 doesn't have Ferrari's? Microsoft probably blocked Ferrari so EA blocked back.

If you want this to be effective, get hold of the e-mails of the relevant people at Porsche.

Post the e-mail here with a text (make sure it is polite, but to the point) to be copied.

If enough people agrees with you, the people at Porsche might get tired of their inbox being full everyday.

This may sound naive, but it worked wonders for LFC supporters, and this made several banks pull out of refinancing Gillett and Hicks, forcing them to sell LFC, ending their 44 month long rape and pillage of my beloved club.
 
This is Just EA returning the favour to Turn 10 for restricted use of Ferraris in Shift 2. Also you can forget anymore Topgear related fun in GT now as Turn 10 has that locked for their use only
 
EA has NEVER EVER EVER listened to the communiy.....Ever. So what good would it do sending EA any messages besides to give them something to laugh at? The only way to to show how you feel about this is to not support EA games. Its also the manufactures fault too but mainly EA. :ouch:

Thats why its very rare I but any EA games. I do not like supporting them at all and eventually over time this crap is going to catch up to them. This manufacturer crap along with the "Online Pass" crap. :ouch:
 
Isn't this sort of thing being discussed somewhere else? The whole Porsche not in FM4 deal? GT5 section guys... not Forza.
 
I am more frustrated that Lamborghini is not in Test Drive Unlimited 2. THAT makes me very mad. At least RUF is an alternative for Porsche. There is no alternative for Lamborghini. :(
 
Good thing fanatec didn't put any porsche logo on their new xbox wheel.

Imagine driving with porsche wheel but the car wasn't in the game :p
 
Aa screw EA and Black Box Studios, I'm not buying anymore NFSs till split-screen is "useful" to them. A racing game without split-screen multiplayer, blasphemy! I just want some new RUFs in GT5: where's the CTR-3?

I support DICE, and I will buy Battlefield 3. In the meantime, it's GT5 and BFBC2 time!

I can't say that I quite follow the Forza joke, unless you're trying to belittle the franchise with the "small dog" reference. If that's the case, I need to point out that while GT still outsells FM, FM is still the best racing franchise of the generation, and since Turn 10 manages to churn them out every two years with more improvements than PD makes for GT in more than twice the time, Forza is rapidly pulling ahead of GT.

It means when you are frustrated about something instead of dealing with that thing you take your frustration out on a defenseless animal. Which is another way of saying: "You're blaming the wrong person/thing/people."

This. The siena thing was really stupid. They was like "oh god our flags in a **** videogame omg no no no" unable to realize that GT is an international name, and videogames are a big part of modern entertainment.
So, same thing for porsche.
 
The only good thing EA made are NFS underground 1 & 2!
Also the Fifa games!! But that's technically EA Sports.
