With respect you are 1 of a thousand people who have not managed to get this to work and you jump to conclusions like that! I’ll just refund you and you can go back to buying tunes from Praiano if you like.

Send me your email address please
i had the same problem it says im using a trial version. i paid the 19.99 but it did not upgrade. please help!

Hi mate,

I don’t think you have the same problem as him lol. He just didn’t like it!

If you log out. Refresh your browser and log back in that should clear the issue and you will have full access.

If that doesn’t work let me know, I’ll see if there is a block on something this end.

Thanks for your support.

Phil

@hookedonturbo I've reworked tunes on some cars quite a few times now as I was discovering new tweaks to help get a good tune out of the app for casual racing. As of today this is what I've been doing:
  • Select a car, upgrade it, get the fully customisable racing transmission & ECU.
    • If using an existing tuned car, create a whole new settings sheet.
  • Body height: Set front body height 10mm from minimum and rear body height 10mm higher than front.
  • Downforce: Set front downforce to middle setting (eg. 200 when minimum is 100 and maximum is 300). Calculate rear downforce.
  • Top speed: Look up the car on the GT Wiki and enter the listed top speed, or take the car on Special Stage X and note the highest attainable speed before the first corner.
  • RPM @ top speed: Part of the stats on the garage frontend/model viewer when the car is selected.
  • Final gear ratio: Set to user input. Install the fully customisable racing transmission and adjust the top speed closest to the value found earlier. Enter the calculated final gear ratio.
  • Gear ratios: Set to user input. Enter the calculated gear ratios.
  • Minimum corner speed: Set to 1.
  • Minimum corner speed gear: Set to 1.
  • Take pictures and upload into the image analyser.
  • Calculate suspension & transmission values on the app and adjust settings in-game. Rename settings sheet as a baseline tune.
  • For races with restrictions, change tyre wear & performance point values according to race settings, duplicate the baseline settings sheet in-game, calculate values in-app and adjust settings in-game again.
The minimum corner speed & gear has me stumped as a casual racer that just wants an edge over the competition. Making it a mandatory input makes me give up on the gear ratio tuning and just use the in-game top speed auto-adjust.

Can I get some feedback on this method? So far it seems to be working well but some cars act very "simulationy" at high speed and love to spin out if I touch the accelerator or brakes while corning.

    • 👍
    • If using an existing tuned car, create a whole new settings sheet.
    👍
  • Body height: Set front body height 10mm from minimum and rear body height 10mm higher than front. 👉 I would normally start off with the default racing suspension height.
  • Downforce: Set front downforce to middle setting (eg. 200 when minimum is 100 and maximum is 300). Calculate rear downforce. 👉Again I would keep default downforce settings to begin with.
  • Top speed: Look up the car on the GT Wiki and enter the listed top speed, or take the car on Special Stage X and note the highest attainable speed before the first corner. 👉 This is not correct, you should know roughly what sort of top speed the car will achieve on the track your tuning for. e.g. if your tuning 600pp cars for Tokyo East then 200-210 mph is about right, then adjust later.
  • RPM @ top speed: Part of the stats on the garage frontend/model viewer when the car is selected. 👍
  • Final gear ratio: Set to user input. Install the fully customisable racing transmission and adjust the top speed closest to the value found earlier. Enter the calculated final gear ratio. 👍 Just put the default final gear ratio of the fully customisable gearbox into the calculator.
  • Gear ratios: Set to user input. Enter the calculated gear ratios. 👍
  • Minimum corner speed: Set to 1. 👉 No this is the speed you think the car will go down to at the slowest corner, e.g. a hairpin corner 50 mph is a good starting point. Adjust later if gearing needs changing.
  • Minimum corner speed gear: Set to 1. 👍 Fine to start.
  • Take pictures and upload into the image analyser. 👉This should be the first thing you do not the last, all of the above settings are extracted from the images and entered into the calculator, saves you doing most of it manually.
  • Calculate suspension & transmission values on the app and then adjust settings in-game. Rename settings sheet as a baseline tune. 👍
  • For races with restrictions, change tyre wear & performance point values according to race settings, duplicate the baseline settings sheet in-game, calculate values in-app and adjust settings in-game again.
🆗
