I don't know how I missed this, but there is going to be a Z4 GT3 entered in the N24. The Z4 is one of my favorites, and a go-to for me in GT7. It doesn't look like it's going for an overall win, as it's in the SP9 class. It will be great to see a Gen1 GT3 car against all the new GT3 machinery. A Z4 GT3 hasn't competed since 2019.
I could be mistaken, but I am sure I have read about two Z4's being entered for the N24. So cool to see them back out on track again, hateful road cars, but fantastic looking race cars and, in my personal opinion, still the best sounding car in GT3.

I looked at the Entry List and you are correct, there are 2. I did see a very familiar name on the #40 too, Volker Strycek driving. :dopey:

Big crash from the #10 Porsche at Brands Hatch, SC deployed.
Such a shame to see that car wiped out on lap one (again). I thought the livery looked great, was hoping to take a snap or two of it, but I missed it on the first lap and then it was gone!

I was glad they got the Lionspeed #80 Porsche fixed for race 2. They had fantastic pace both races and deserved the win in my opinion.

Gutted for Chris Lulham and Dani Juncadella. Superb drive in race one and the last minute push from Chris to overcome the first penalty made for great viewing.

Bit disappointed by the Lamborghini Temerario. The car certainly looks the part (and that Rutronik livery looks as good on the Lambo as it did on the Porsche), but the car didn't look that competitive and I was very much missing the V10 sounds. At least there were some R8's delivering that though!

The Nürburgring 24h is on this weekend!

Here's the entry list: https://gt-place.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/5360.pdf

There's some super-strong teams, and I wouldn't bet against the #1 car winning again - they field much the same all-star team as last year, with Jesse Krohn replaced by 2025 Spa 24h winner, Jordan Pepper. All eyes will be on #3, a very strong team even without Max Verstappen - perhaps Max's inexperience with night driving in GT could hamper them a bit, but I assume they will have that covered schedule-wise. Here's some of the top contenders:

1 Rowe Racing - BMW M4 GT3 (P1 2025 N24)

Augusto Farfus, Raffaele Marciello, Jordan Pepper, Kelvin van der Linde

3 Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing - Mercedes AMG GT3

Max Verstappen, Lucas Auer, Jules Gounon, Daniel Juncadella

77 Schubert Motorsport - BMW M4 GT3

Marco Wittmann, Philpp Eng, Charles Weerts, Robin Frijns

80 Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL - Mercedes AMG GT3

Maro Engel, Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller, Maxime Martin

84 Red Bull Team Abt - Lamborghini Huracan GT3

Luca Engstler, Mirko Bortolotti, Patric Niederhauser

99 Rowe Racing - BMW M4 GT3

Dan Harper, Max Hesse, Sheldon van der Linde, Dries Vanthoor

911 Manthey - Porsche 911 GT3 (Grello, P2 2025 N24)

Kevin Estre, Ayhancan Güven, Thomas Preining, Matt Campbell

16 Scherer Sport PHX - Audi R8 GT3

Christopher Haase, Alexander Sims, Ben Green

17 Dunlop Motorsport - Porsche 911 GT3

Julien Andlauer, Dorian Boccolacci, Nico Menzel, Alessio Picariello

54 Dinamic GT - Porsche 911 GT3 (P3 2025 N24)

Bastian Buss, Michael Klitgaard Christensen, Joel Sturm, Loek Hartog

Jake Hill (BTCC driver) will be in the #18 Lionspeed GP Porsche 911, and Laurens Vanthoor is in the other Lionspeed GP car.

It's a bit of a poignant day for me today though... under normal circumstances, I would probably be arriving in Adenau this evening, and set for the 'Adenau Racing Day' tomorrow - the car parade prior to the N24. Alas, I couldn't go this year - and I doubt very much I will make it to another N24 :( - but I hope that I can make it back to the Nürb some time. I'm just grateful for the fact that I've been twice already, and that I made the most of both trips.

The N24 is a spectacular event, and this year most tickets are sold out due to the enormous boom in interest in GT racing, no doubt aided by the inclusion of Max Verstappen this year. I hope it is an exciting race and not interrupted by either the notoriously treacherous weather, or by an on-track incident like the terrible crash that took the life of Juha Miettinen during the NLS4 (N24 Qualifier race) last month.

Max Verstappen just took P1 by 8 seconds in Q1!

The rain has come back on at the Nurburgring for Q2, and the track is very treacherous now, especially as it is now dark too.

Meanwhile, Max is getting ready to go out in the AMG - just as some other teams (like the #1 ROWE BMW) appear to have called it a night for now.

.... ooooor, maybe not. Max just got back out of the car.... wise move I think!

Watching Top Qualifying now.

Maro Engel has made a rare mistake at Hatzenbach and it looks like the #80 is out of Qualifying, so they will probably start in P20 (if I'm understanding of the quali session anyway!).

And, as a result, a bunch of cars that didn't manage a quick lap prior to Engel's off are pretty much stuffed, including Grello 😢

-

Looks like Grello might get one last chance to get it into the top 7, as Engel's car is moved and the barrier doesn't need repaired.

-

Grello has made it into TQ3  - Verstappen just makes it in P6.

Tremendous qualifying for #632 Black Falcon Porsche of Broadbent/Charoudin/Brown/Metzger - P26 overall, which is the fastest non SP9/GT3 car on the grid, and ahead of 14 SP9s... very impressive indeed from them.

TQ3 following shortly - there's sporadic heavy rain hitting some parts of the track right now, but for the most part it is staying dry.

Red Bull Team Abt lock out the front row of the grid...

The Lamborghinis are looking very strong indeed, and there's 3 of them in the Top 6.

Front two rows of the grid:

1 L Engstler - Red Bull Team Abt - Lamborghini Huracan Evo GT3
2 M Mapelli - Red Bull Team Abt - Lamborghini Huracan Evo GT3 +0.345
3 C Haase - Scherer Sport PHX - Audi R8 GT3 +0.861
4 D Juncadella - Team Verstappen Racing - Mercedes AMG GT3 +0.882

##911 (Grello) in P8, #1 BMW ROWE in P9

70 GT3 cars registered for the Spa 24hr!
Here is the Entry List:

Interesting to note that there will be just 2 Lamborghinis, not least as the Huracan GT3 won last year in its final Spa 24h, and is replaced by the Temerario GT3 - both piloted by very strong teams.

Of last year's 3 winning drivers, 2 stay at Lamborghini but will be in different cars (Bortolotti stays at Grasser Racing Team, Engstler in the Rutronik Racing car), and Jordan Pepper has moved to BMW Team WRT.

GTWC race at Monza is starting shortly

57 GT3 cars starting the race!!

-

Huge crash at Turn 1... a spinning car from a few rows back takes out the leaders in one fell swoop - the Top 3 all out through no fault of their own :(

I've never been a fan of the first chicane at Monza - but with 57 cars on the grid, there was just too many cars fighting for the same, very limited space.

Hopefully no-one hurt, but the top 4 cars were all taken clean out by Kirchhofer's McLaren barrelling into the chicane backwards :scared:

-

A real shame for HRT who had P1 and P3 on the grid, and both cars taken out at Turn 1 😓
