Check out that mad driftin machine :D
BTW, that fender has been replaced. I did a rail slide... so there's a nice little guardrail-shaped indent on my door... oh well. Kinda like a battle scar, right? I'm not too concerned with the looks as you can tell, as long as it's street legal. I'm mostly just learning how to drift in it. I can't wait to get springs though, cuz it's pretty unpredictable right now. I mostly only drift in the rain (and never in traffic of course).

If you're ever on the east coast and want to get some lessons, I'll be more than happy to hook you up. Just let me know.

yeah, my car is extremely loud too. the RS*R ExMag GTII Catback Exhaust System is made for a turbo car, so the piping is 3 inches, and my car is not turbo, therefore it is EXTREMELY loud O_O!!!

but i love it :D!!!!

Lessons? Are you pro or something? Thanks for the offer, but I'm not exactly a 'newbie' =) I know you wouldn't normally associate Washington with drifting but there's a pretty large scene out here and I pretty much get all the lessons I need by going to car meets or hanging out with the locals. Just being the underdog with my nearly stock 86 forces me to learn fast in order to keep up with them, let alone passing them like on a recent run where I heard the cops talking about us on the scanner and had to catch up to the lead guy to slow him down... at least afterward I got to follow a really sweet FD for the rest of the run. He was doing fishtails in 3rd gear *drool* that thing looked nearly stock too.

Sorry about that bro. Didn't mean to insult your skill. I give up cool points on that one. I'm not a pro but I can hang with some pretty good drifters. I plan on entering a pro competition after I get another drift car and get used to it, I'm thinking about either going with the mighty famous 15-80 conversion car or a simple 240sx, who knows, maybe I'll feel bold and drift the cam-dog, time will tell.

P.S. I reall am sorry, I know what it's like to have someone question your skill as a drifter, I've had to put people to shame before too.:trouble:  :trouble:

Looks good, exhaust.

Anyway, my car is a 91' VW Jetta GLI Wolfsburg edition. I used to have a 91' S13, but I blew the engine, and sold it for parts. I'm planning on getting an RPS13, and converting it to a Sil-Eighty. I don't mean just changing the nose on it. I want it to be as close to an authentic sileighty as possible.;)

exhaust-note, lemme get this straight...

Your 16 and own a BMW M3, Corvette, and in 3 months your going to own an Evo VIII (which by the looks of it, is not stock)?

It's his moms Beemer. The pic of the Evo, is not what he's getting. He's getting a stock Evo VIII. ;)

I don't think you guys ever heard of my ride... atleast not the model... I have a Mazda Etude, which is a FF.. no FR cars sold locally here... will try and post a pic of it soon... it's got a 1600 DOHC.... fuel injected.. nothing special to it... actually looks like a family car!!

No harm done! You aren't far off to assume I need lessons. In fact, if it weren't for my extensive understanding of the art from all the studying/watching/simulation(gt3) that I've done then I probably would need instruction. I'm fairly new at drifting (been doing it for 1 year) so maybe I am a newbie still after all, but I don't think formal instruction would really help me any since I know what I did wrong as soon as I do it, it's just a matter of needing to build up my reflexes so I can do these things without thinking about it.

silviadrifter,
Building an authentic Sil-Eighty? I'll believe it when I see it ;) Everyone says they're going to do that but ends up just re-doing the nose because it's so much easier.

LOL, yeah I know. I've already had an S13 coupe, and I bought the JDM nose for it, so that part is done. I have been restoring my 91' Jetta for a little over a year, so I know what an extensive process it can be. It's the build up that I enjoy, so it will be a fun project. I have my Jetta GLI for my daily driver, so I don't have to worry about keeping it driveable. Anyway, I am most likely going to start the project in about 4 months, if everything goes as planned.;)

Nice, you should feed that beast some boost. I'm thinking of doing a 1.8T transplant in the future. ;)

1.8t is a great engine, but the 2.8 vr6 gti will never come outta there, (rumors of a TT implemetation circling:) ) it runs a good 185 hp now with very little room left in the bay tho. a tight squeeze.
