Nice, bring your 180 and we'll get down in the rain, cuz it'll be raining... it always rains... (although lately I've been having fun in the snow!!)

Hey btw if you really want an 86, I'll trade you mine and cash on your 180. It's my next on the list so if I can do a trade then I'll just use the 180 as a street car. Looks like you got plans for the 180 though.

yeah i'm definitely keeping the 180. it's literally my dream car, and i have it at such a young age, i dont want anything to ruin that =]

me and some friends were just planning on buying an 86 and using it as a project car. so no thx =]

but whenever you decide to sell, just let me know, and ill see whats going on.

btw... are all those lights on your WRX necsasary(sp.)

It would be nice to know where you are drifting off to in the middle of the night.. there's two of the spot lights I have aimed to the edge at 20 degrees so I can see out the side windows of what might be up ahead.

I set up my STi in GT3 just like how I have it in real life.. of course there's a lot of differences in reaction characteristics, but initially, it handles and drifts the same way.. I think sony did a great job.

Hey guys by mid summer I am planning on getting one of two cars. Tell me what you think.

'86 Corolla GT-S
around an '88 Mazda RX-7 FC the one in GT3

S13 Coupe, R32 Front end going on this week. And RB20DET front clip was shipped from the warehouse 2 weeks ago, so it should be here soon and that's going in ASAP!! Cusco Comp2R coilovers. 3" custom catback exhaust.

I'll get a vid as soon as the motor is in and ready to go.

Sounds sick, I haven't seen many coupes with R32 front ends. I was going to put a JDM S13 nose on my old coupe, but the R32 nose should look great with the lines of the S13. RB26DET.......Drool......I was just going to a SR20DET swap, but now I'm waiting to get another Silvia. I still have the JDM S13 nose, so I think I might try to find an RPS13, and put it on that. Then maybe turbo the KA. Anyway, post some pics when things start comin' together.;)

I think you misread or had a bit of a typo there. RB20DET :)

Out of the R32 GTS-T, quite underestimated but this little 2 liter inline 6 packs quite a punch ;)

I was thinking about the Silvia front as well, the swap would probably be so much easier, but where's the fun in that? ;)
I think I'll be doing a full fledged R32 conversion (tails and bumper, right hand drive conversion, RB20, R32 front end)

I used to drive a JDM DC2 integra type r and nothing can replace the feeling of knowing everyone's wondering what the **** you're doing on the wrong side of the car when you drive past them ;)

Oh, I see, my bad. Your going kinda the same route I want to go with my RPS13. More authentic. I want to put a red top SR20DET in the Hatch, and then change all the symbols, convert to right hand drive, and just make it as authentic as possible (Sil-Eighty). I like the idea of the RB20DET, and just out of curiousity, Is it much lighter than the RB26? I would think so, and that is another reason it is a good choice. Too many people don't realise, that you have to have a balance or synergy, if you will. Alot of people just take the biggest engine they can find, and try to stuff it in a small car, which inturn just makes it a nose heavy, understeering beast. Do you have any pictures of your coupe, in it's current state? ;)

I really don't see the fascination with RHD conversions. It seems to me that it would be a pointless waste of money that would actually make daily driving more difficult. Oh well. Do what you like.

That's why in my integra we implemented a camera into the passenger side(US driver side) mirror hooked up to a screen for passing. Also, the RHD conversion is a good way to cut down on fast food!

lol, I din't even think of the fast food thing. ;)

And when I did get a hardcore craving I'd just go backwards through the drive thru. :)

The look on the person's face working the window is just priceless ;)

Only problem I really ever had with my integra was cops would pull me over just to check the car out, check to make sure everything was legal and just to comment on how weird/cool it was

I think I might just leave it left hand drive. That sounds like too much hassle for me.;)

Actually, to me it's quite natural. Most of my driving time has been spent behind the wheel of RHD cars. From JDM FD's to Civics and a couple of skylines(my brother used to own a car/part importing company that went out of business a couple years ago) So in fact the Left-hand drive is quite weird for me (I'm driving a 2000 dodge ram while my car is in downtime.)

xenonk. very nice WRX, but iMHO those 4 foglights in the front are kinda look odd.

So does an Escudo with that HUGE 747 wing in the front and back.. but hey, most GT and Rally cars are weird to begin with.. who the heck really need 12 lights on a car? Rally does for the night stages :P

I thought so at first when I put the lights on, but when you start seeing the lights at night, people do move out of the way for me so I can keep on drifting ;)

No, sorry, but I want to keep it for my Sil-Eighty project. ;)

I heard some references to right hand drive cars and I was just wondering one thing.

WHY?????!!!!

There is nothing cool about a right hand drive car, it's the same as a left drive car just reversed. I mean, it's just not cool. I personally can't wait to get back home to my 85 Camaro left driven muscle car. The only thing is that I've been driving and drifting these right hand drive cars for so long now that I probably will have to get used to my Camaro all over again. I'll go to shift and roll down the window or something.

But seriously, I don't think it's worth the money just to be able to steer from the other side of your car, that's just my opinion though, I mean, I see so many of these import and rice rocket mags selling their RHD conversions for umpteen thousand dollars and cars that are sold for upwards of 30,000 for a used car just because it's modded and right hand drive. If you recall, RHD came around because Americas instructions on how to make cars were interpreted backwards so the gas tanks and wheels got put on the wrong sides, along with the fluid containers and drive trains (the drive train thing is just a joke).

I just had to get that off of my chest, I don't see what's so cool about right hand drive cars but, hey, if you want a way to blow your money, that's one of them. It's right up there with actuators and black alloys.

It's not so much for any sort of cool factor for me(although it does get a lot of attention) but it's what I learned to drive (I was working with my brother when I was 12, helping move cars around) then when I turned 16 I was delivering parts with these cars to the people that placed orders in the city but couldn't pick it up. I hadn't driven a LHD car until I bought the Dodge truck last year after I sold my Integra.

*Shrugs* just more natural to me
