Based on Gran Turismo 5 and 6 1 year updates, there will be more new features probably like:
-B spec
-weather (static probably)
-some new VGT(s)
-some new online feature
-something about endurance races
-more tuning options
-a new race car bundle, modern more likely, with one theme like NASCAR, JTCC, JGTC, GT1, DTM, D1GP or whatever. Most likely GT3 of recent years or JGTC. Or GT1 from late 90s. Or Red Bull protos. Or pikes peak. Or whatever.
-general car mini themes like few 00s supercars, drift machines, roadsters, oddballs and so on. Most of them from past GTs.
As for tracks, most likely, there will be Deep Forest out of all trinity. A real track will probably be Spa or Laguna Seca or that Spain raceway. City based tracks very unlikely.
As for cars, there will be 10 to 15 new cars. Lets say that unknown VGT and unknown racing bundle take 5 spots.
That leaves a prediction for other cars, most likely GT6 remasters and 2 new cars that can include non premium remastered. Here are GT6 candidates:

Few concept cars that could return but very low chance
It could be rather big. We're only about 1 update away from them adding 100 new cars since launch, and it'd come right on the game's first year out. It's doubtful, but i still wouldn't put it past PD. They've been going in a hell of a good direction with GT Sport so far
Let's say that the October update bring a new track and more legendary cars from GT
IMO The best new feature would be a new mode : the GT League PLUS.
It seems easy to do but I'm not a dev...
Like the classic GT mode, you start with a couple of credits and have to buy your first car.
Your garage in this mode would be separate from the main garage. Though, if you win a car in this mode, it would be playable in the main garage.
They could keep the same events from the GT League. Add championships, more events (copy and paste the classic GT mode events), more misions, challenging time trials for the gold medal, and why not some licenses.
Very important points:
-a fair economy (no more ridiculous grinding but not too generous like Forza);
- prize cars related to the event completed (mx-5 road car cup => prize car: mx-5 race version.);
-fully customisable settings for the event like race length, AI difficulty, dommages, penalty... (perfectly done in Forza);
-standing start! I know AI in GTSport will never be challenging, no more chasing the rabbit in 2018.
We now have all of the previous Pebble Beach winners in the game (2008-2011): The Miura, TZ2, Biposto, and XNR
Now I potentially see PD adding the Pebble Beach winners from 2012-2015 since they were adding newer SEMA winners. I don't see the Pebble Beach winners of 2016-2018 showing up any time soon because that is just too recent. Anyways, these are the cars I think we'll get pretty soon maybe even this month: Ferrari 500 Mondial Pininfarina Coupe '54 (2012 winner)
Since we got a real circuit last month, I'm going to pic Spa-Francorchamps. No doubt, PD are unpredictable. They do the best surprises. However, recently, if they are alternating continents with Asia and Europe circuits, I'm going European circuit next.
If there are no Original circuits next, will PD choose a circuit from the Americas? Daytona, Laguna Seca, Indianapolis, Mexico, Canada, Argentina?
It's been a while since Willow Springs. So, I'm thinking we still won't see an American circuit for another good while. prove me wrong again, PD.

I bet we're going to get a snow track. It makes sense for the anniversary to add something completely different and new to the game. The in-game menus do in fact say dirt/snow courses when selecting a rally track. Also, when selecting tires for a car, snow tires are listed to be selected but of course you cannot equip them because there are no snow courses yet.
We would most likely have Chamonix return or maybe get something entirely new.

I'm not too huge on Charmonix. I despised its GT4 variation and while there were bits i liked on the 5/6 layouts, overall its about average. My guess is that they'll add a new location like all of the other rally courses. Maybe Finland or if we're lucky Monaco. Or hell they can just be lazy and give Colorado Springs a winter palette swap and I'd be okay with it.

Title says Update Theory Discussion. I can only assume that not one person who has commented with their lists understands the difference between theory and speculation/wish lists. Poor form, community, poor form.
Ι'd like to see the milage exchange to become a used car department and with some tunning oportunities.
Its boring to have 99999 Mi and nothing usefull to buy...
Bring back the oil change and some damage repairs after the races.
We want more cars and tracks.
Custom Championship online and offline.
Better sepatarion in car classes.
Bring back some of the iconic touring cars.
I wish this update to have two or more tracks and 20+ cars even from the past of the series (They have a large collection)
