Not sure if all of these have been posted but I tried to get a few select screens from the Japan event.

I don't think a big amount of people will participate in 24H Live races, I got exhausted when I did the 9H endurance races with breaks, but 24H without breaks is just not a good idea, and your friends might be pretty bad so switching drivers may not be an option for everyone, I just don't like the idea of 24H without the ability to take a break and let the console cool down.

Not many details have been shared, unless they offer a "Online Friend Swap" it will be quite frustrating, I hope they add an online swap feature and not tell you to bring over a friend, not sure on all the details though, would love to find out.

KAZ participates in 24H Nurburgring. I'm sure he knows how the system works and that drivers actually MUST be swapped.

Nobody knows for sure, but my guess is only folks that pre-qualify by winning shorter races will be invited to a specific location to take part in 24-hour 'team' races (probably only a couple a year). Not just anybody will be able to join from their home, though anybody would be able to use the broadcast stream baked into GT Sport to watch the 24-hour race live. Just like they have been doing to show off GT Sport the last couple of weeks.

Inviting players from all around the world few times a year or so will be quite pricey for PD/Sony, not sure what kind of profit they expect from this, but I doubt anyone will sit there and watch the stream for more than 30Minutes, I'm very interested in the commentary feature though, I guess we'll have to wait and see to get all our questions answered.

Again, just my take, but I would expect such events to be sponsored by the FIA, not by PD. That said, the mock-up clearly shows Nations Cup's and Manufactures Cup's with the FIA logo. So perhaps the 24-hour Nurburgring event in the UI mock-up is something they are considering doing without partnering with the FIA.

Expensive depends on the size of your wallet. It's also a marketing event as much as anything else and will be used to promote the game, the cars, the FIA etc. I'd imagine the biggest expense would be the venue, getting the equipment there, setup and working properly etc. Flying people in and paying for a couple of night stay might be the che

Some of those scapes are the same as the ones shown in London (see my scapes thread), but some of these scapes are new

I'm trying to keep track of scapes in that thread, so will add these to my thread later (after work) unless you are able to cut and paste them beforehand.

It actually does. Japanese roads aren't that narrow unless the GT3 car has truly staggering stance on it. And it definitely looks taller than the Mini, whereas a stock 458 is a good 5 or 6 inches shorter than a Mini.

Even if that Mini on the side is modded, you can't drop a Mini 6 inches without it being obvious. And a racing 458 is if anything going to be lower than a road going one.

I think they've messed up the perspective/scale on that scape. I suspect with a 1000 Scapes and Polyphony's world renowned attention to detail, people may find quite a few of those after launch.

Yep, this won't happen unless there's a back-up system where the A.I or another person can immediately take over.

If I tried to do a 24H race I'd get a number of crashes without a doubt especially with how bad the internet has got lately. I can only imagine what it'd be like in other countries with worse connections than ours.

I don't think they do if it's just a photo of it. GT4 had Ford Crown Victorias and other cars in photo travel images, none of which were in the game I think.

No no, I'm just preparing for the inevitable comparisons where some people will use Photomode shots as if they're representative of how the game looks in motion during a race.

I'll have to disagree with that. I ordered a Big Tasty the other day from McDonalds and it lived up to the picture hype because of the deliciousness involved.
