my fastest 1/4 mile time was 6.23 in a red viper...more than 900 hp, and it didnt even have all the weight reductions...i used 100% power NOS tho...i put the SS tires onj it, and it takes off like a wrx or an EVo...the top speed is like 289 or something, and thats on the sarthe...didnt think to bring it on the test track.

what kind of viper, the new or old style?

I've tried everything but the B-Spec driver keeps on pitting in on lap 6 and the leading Nissan R92CP keeps pitting in on lap 7.

A-spec till you get the lead then B-spec. If your place is taken due to B-spec driver ignorance A-spec it again.. Works for me since my B-spec sucks..

Use the 787B instead! can´t remember right now how many laps the tires lasted, but I think it was 9. The car had no upgrades except an oilchange though. And reduce downforce to half!

I haven't got the 787B, 905, R8 or pescarolos.

I've got a weird problem when i race the car in A-Spec.
I've done about 7880 miles in the 88-CV.
i bought the body rigidity refresher plan the one which costs 50,000
when the car had done 3667 miles.
But the car keeps straying side to side on the straight even if you tap left or right very gentley.

I used I H8 GWB's setting but b-spec kept crashing every lap!

What car are you using?

I could give you 3 setups for Toyota 88C-V, Sauber Mercedes C9 and the Nissan R89C.

I'm going to try the race tommorow.

My cousin set-up the car with the setting i gave him.

He said he B-speced the whole race and told me that his first Mulsanne straight screw up was on his 3rd hour of the race

Sorry, a gameshark/xport/sharkport/maxdrive is the only way to get the 999 billion credits.

Go figure.

However, I do know a nice way to make some money.

Get yourself an itialian car and do the Italiano Cup in the Euro League. It's only a 3 race event with 2 laps per a race. 👍

The prize car is an Alfa 155 touring car, which can be used for the DTM Championship in the Euro hall.

That series (the DTM series) is a bit longer, 5 races, but the prize car is a CLK-GTR worth 700,000 Cr.
Definately an awesome money making technique.

Now on a different subject...
I would like to hear what you all think of the McLaren F1 GTR.

For some reason I've found that many people don't really like it for one reason or another and I was wondering if any of you happen to like as much as I do?

Actually, I haven't used it for much of anything in GT mode.
Due to a reasons that would take much longer than needed to explain, I haven't had a racecar in my garage since long ago.

However, I do use the McLaren in arcade mode.
Mostly for hotlaps, but on occassion I run a longer race with AI opponents.

Truth be told, I was only interested in bringing that up because the McLaren had been the focus of my most recent GT efforts.

I've been running the Arc McLaren for a while now and after seeing how many, or should I say- how few, people use the McLaren I thought it would be a good topic for discussion.

Please feel free to tell me what you think of it on any level.
Even if that means it explaining why you think it doesn't match up to competition very well. 👍

I can understand that statement too.
Just setting up several OLR races has shown me that the McLaren is a "unique" racecar.

which days do the peugeot 205 t16 appear in the used car lot in the PAL version? i've been looking for a road one for ages. i check the used car lot every couple of days to see if there's an update, but i've had no luck.

Nitro, the white 205 T16 appears in wk52 (days 358-364), and the grey one in week 82 (568-574) and every 100wks/700 days after that.
Incidentally I got this information from Famine's Fabulous Used Car Cycle list, which is in the thread directly below this one! (Bet ya feel stoopid now, huh?)

I bought an Audi R8, used it to beat 24hrs of Nurburgring among other things. After that endurance the car is uncontrollable at speed. Did I mess something up in the game or did I get too angry at the controller one too many times and killed the controller? All other cars seem fine though. Makes no sense. Help please.

You've put too many miles on the car.

The only way to correct this is to purchase the "rigidity re-fresher" in the "Others" category of the audi tuning area.

Buy that refresher and your car should be back to normal. However, if you put tons of miles on it again you will go back to the uncontrollable state and I don't think you can buy the refresher twice.

Sooo...
Buy the refresher, but try not to use the car too much after that if you wish to keep it for the long haul.

One thing to keep in mind though...
Winning the 24 hour Sarthe enduro will give you the R8 as a prize car. 👍
(the Sarthe II enduro will give you the bentley speed 8)

I'm currently driving the nur 24hrs, So far i have driven 12hrs in A-spec and driving it on 179 a spec points.
The thing is I read that for those who manage to finish the race in A-spec there is a nice bonus. However i dont know what this extra is.

Now for my question, if i switch to b-spec now, and let that run for example 11 hours, and then race the last hour in A-spec does it still count. Do I get that extra price?

I really hope some1 can help me out.

Regarding your questions...

I've never heard of an extra prize that goes with any race in the game (except prize cars maybe but I don't think of those as "extra").

Also, since there is no extra prize switching to B-spec will not make a difference.

However, if you do switch to b-spec you will not get any A-spec points.

Also, I'm thinking about this bonus idea...

I'm almost 100% sure there is no bonus for doing a race all the way through in A-spec.

However, I'm sure you will get prize money for winning the race (regardless of what "spec" you raced in) and you will also get a prize car (regardless of spec as well).

So, sorry to say it, but there is no bonus for doing a race in A-spec only.

But atleast you will still get the prize money and the prize car. 👍

This is wrong. You can buy the refreshser as many times as you want, but after a while the engine will have deteriorated to such an extent, that an oilchange will not restore hp figures to their max.

Because by now i have finished 20 hours, and only need to go another 4.. So by tomorrow we'll see how and what on that extra thing or not. I'll keep u guys posted.

Ow, and the race actually is quite hard, after these 20 hrs I only have a 1 lap lead, but thas exactly what keeps u awake rite.

Try the Toyota Minolta 88C-V...You can win this at El Capitain Enduro. There might be a bug if you B-spec. Mr. Bob might go brain-dead at the chicane or he might explore the wonderful tyre wall, Anyways either the 88C-V or the R92CP. Pick your tyres right though. Good luck... 👍
