GT4 Info!!! Must Read!!!

Hi there, I cant wait to get my hands on a copy.

Can anyone tell me, or point me to somewhere to find out when GT4 will be released for us poor guys in South Africa. Its normally about 8 months after UK(europe) release.


ANYONE members here from SA.
 
sorry im not from SA and i have no idea. maybe you can try ordering it from amazon.co.uk or something and they will send it to you. if your PS2 is PAL it should work fine.
 
I'm sure if your PS2 is a PAL a UK version would work.
If you really become desparate, I'm sure one of us in the UK would order a version and post it on to you (oviously you'd need to pay one of us sumhow) but we'll try an help.

What sort of price(£) do you pay for new games (AVE)... obviously

i don't usually correct people's spelling but make sure u type SWEET next time, otherwise it seems a little unsavoury :D

as for price, i expect gt4 to be £29.99 when it comes out here. i get all my stuff from play.com and they seem to have cheap prices. maybe you should check if they would send it out to SA? otherwise yeah im sure someone here could do it. i mean if u sent me the money + postage details i'd do it. though u'd have to include the postage cost to SA from the UK which could be £10??? im just guessing at that. but true you'd be one of if not the first person in sa to have it heh.

my PS1 was modded and i used to get my games from the US and japan earlier too so i know how cool it is :P

i have. i had my sister buy me a Japanese ps2 when she was over seas in tokyo for military purposes. she also knew how much i love GT so she bought that too as a special surpprise.:lol:

Titled Gran Turismo Amlux, the GT spin-off only features Toyota cars and will be playable exclusively at the Amlux dealership in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. No new tracks are available in the game and it's not expected to be made available at retail.

It will be interesting to see how GT4 fares - both commercially and critically - in comparison to Capcom's rival PS2 online racer Auto Modellista. It's becoming clear that the future of racing games will be based as much on trading and other online elements as it ever was on simply tearing round a track as quickly as you can.

But while GT4 will no doubt be one of the most realistic racers ever, Modellista conversely takes racing games back to their arcade-style roots, eschewing realism for funky cel-shaded graphics and over-the-top powerslides.

The online racing battle, pitting realism against arcade fun, is due to kick off over the next few months. The future of console drive-'em-ups is at stake and, whoever comes out on top, one thing's for sure: broadband-based console racers are the way forward.

just thought you might want to know that there will be a Grand Canyon rally track on GT4 but you probally know this by now.

Anyway, I think GT4 will be released after the new car models are available which is usually in late November. Some reports now say the North American release of GT4 will not happen until 2004. Poop.:(

from screenshots, and from actually seeing the real life pikes peak i am 80% certain that it will be back. unless those screenshots were from levels that wont be included

Also, the MX-Sportif has turned into the Mazda 3, to replace the Protege. The Cosmo Concept they refer to is a concept car based on the Miata that looks like the 1st rotary engine car, the Cosmo Sports. The Xedos Touring car is basically a restyled 626, if that's what they are talking about.

I don't think that that list came from Sony, it's got too many errors and stuff.

Ha! Well, Mazkid, the RX8 may not be out in America but in the UK lots of magazines have tested the RX8 and the local dealer has a demonstration model, which it proudly put in the centre of it's display at the local motorshow, and has even given a few priveledged people the oportunity (is that spelt right?) to have a test drive, so 2003 sounds possible to me!
You should have flown over from the States just to sit the driver's seat. Unfortunately, since I'm only 15, I got pulled out the seat when I turned the ignition on and revved it to 8000 rpm in Neutral! :lol:

for some reason it looked smaller than i thought it would:)
 
I would say that it is for the states....but thats my guess...and i believe thats the preorder price since it will be a new game..should be about 50 bucks *shrugs* just what i think...might be wrong...but thats my honest opinion
