👍 👍
I bet you guys one of the GT4 commercials are going to include the Vegas Strip. In the middle of a race, some guy will get out of his car, gamble, then get back in his car and race. :sly:

I don't know whether this link has been posted, Gran Turismo World but there are some nice wallpapers and screen savers(haven't tried those though). There is also a Sitekit to download, which includes logo's and pictures of some of the cars in the game.

There is also a Paris Vid on George V with a Renault Alpine A110. Probably been seen before, but nice to see it on the Official site.

Don't go crazy if you've seen it before, because I at least, hadn't seen the wallpaper's before.

Worth a post just for the McLaren F1 and Photomode wallapaper's. :)

High Speed Ring if i am not mistaken!? But it is indeed strange, that bridge wasnt in GT1 from what i can remember right now.

I must say that pic with the 205 is good,.. but the quality of the sky and sand doesnt live up to the quality of the car (just as in GT3 sometimes), but hey:) who cares, the gameplay will be very very is good. 👍 ;)

And dont forget that when actually playing the game it will Never look as good as that image.
The only time GT4 will look like that is when you print out your hi res photo pics.

Yeah, in game you'll always get them squigly lines...hate them :grumpy: but the game still looks beautiful while playing 👍

Granted the game still looks mighty fine, but just reminding those that the game will play in resoloution approx half that of these images, and jaggies do affeect the car models significantly, the track and background textures however dont appear to lose that much quality.

Hmm, it think it will almost look like that in replay when you pause the game (on TV always diff. then on PC) . And in motion it always looks different... jaggies!

The textures are indeed the same as when you play it!

I meant that it looks like a real car set in a game environment. This i thought sometimes when playing GT3.

I was looking at the GT4 videos from this month's OPM demo disc and the graphics looked incredible. The footage wasn't pre-rendered or touched up, just simple gameplay and replay videos, everything looked unusually sharp and clear but I could still see some mild aliasing so I know it was authentic.

Any new vids?? And which mag OPMUK??

The only difference in those pics and the ingame visuals is, there will be more jaggies on screen than in the pics. The texture res in those pics is the same, it has not been upped at all. I find this gt4 vid > any photomode pic http://media.gameinformer.com/downl...t4/tgsgt4-2.mpg

Some photomode pics aren't all that good, because they'll show errors in the texture work and some make gt4 look unrealistic. I'll take a vid over any photomode pic.

holy crap! cobra, is that you?!!

maybe it's his repressed critic popping in for a post.

Man this game is just freaking great, I might not be able to wait for the game....maybe GTA San Andreas will help the time pass!

Some of you may have played "Gran Turismo Concept." Of course, unless some import store sells that (for a higher price perhaps), you may recall the inclusion of Autumn Ring. It's never looked better based on pictures I've seen. GT Concept had, in my view, more colorful graphics over GT3 which provides a better-looking package. Now with GT4's approach to bringing back some classic tracks, I've kept hearing about High-Speed Ring making a come back. And this track is pretty easy. If you can't control a rear-drive car or a car with big oversteer, you'll only spin out mostly in two locations, the little chicane and maybe going into the final banked turn. And I know this from my GT experience, because hey. Nobody's perfect. When it comes to Grand Valley, PD must have been reading some of our talk about GT3's (man. For some reason, I keep wanting to type "GT4," but it isn't out yet!) rendition of tracks. As I said, GT3 completely took out part of the beautiful view after the bridge. GT4 however... I want to race that track so bad in GT4. It's lovely! High Speed Ring looks to have some unreal looks to it as well. No one really knows what the track will feature. Who knows? You might see beautiful fountains and Gothic churches on the straight going past the first banked turn area. We may see boats coming in and going away at tracks close to harbors (like Special Stage Route 11 with that industrial-like sector). You know, we may see TV replays of the leading racer on the New York City track, reminiscent of Ridge Racer classic. So, you may never tell, GTPlanet.

By the way, I'm seeing this MotorWeek rerun, that new Mustang is going to be pretty cool. Can't wait to see how Saleen would play around with the 'Stangs. We may just see a second-coming of the Shelby GT350 and GT500. Good one, Ford.

Look in my signature for a link titled GT4Screenshots. Click on it whenever you see a post of mine and when you want to see if anything new has been made available. Likewise, there are GT4 links titled GT4Japan and GTWorld that you can click on for info and pics.

GTPrologue is for Asia and Europe only. But, if you have a chipped PS2, you can buy it and use it on your NA PS2.

561066_20041001_screen010.jpg

Is this the new Laguna?

561066_20041001_screen006.jpg

Anyone know where this is?
Is it the Crossover at Suzuka?
Or is there a bridge at the Nurburgring?

Nice screens althrough the thread(makes my tummy hurts because I want it so bad now :grumpy: ) but I must say in My opinion that looks like a new track!
note the first pic is the corner that you can se further back in the bridge pic

I think it's an updated Test Course...

Too wide for anything else...

And the banked curves?!

C.

I think it has to shallow banking for being TC man....but hey I dont really know so hehehe :dopey:

and the other one is Laguna indeed a reworked version wich I really like,I really hated the one in GT3 since it was in dawn, ruin the whole track if you ask me :yuck:

yeti, the first and third picture that you posted are clearly from the same track.
The middle one is indeed Laguna Seca (just after the corkscrew).

I think that that's the first corner of the High Speed Ring. The said that they have redone all of the previous tracks to make them more accurate so it's possible that they have altered a few aspects like that bridge for exapmle. And i really doubt it's the Test Track Oval. It's not banked enough and there is an audience,on a Test track!

sorry if this pic was alredy posted but its sooooo beautiful!! This is an excellent thread. I watch it every day!! :dopey:
