GT4 pushed to 2005

It's amazing how much complaining is going on now that the game has been pushed back. If I remember correctly, not too long ago, everyone was just about split down the middle over the fact that PD was releasing the game without online mode. Some people wanted the game pushed back again so that they could finish it. Well, guess what! You got your wish, people. It's being pushed back again, regardless of whether or not online will be included. If the game did indeed go gold, the reason for the delay is anyone's guess. If not (and big announcements like that have been false at times), then look forward to more content when it is released. Also, if it's pushed back for NTSC territories so that it is indeed being compiled with online mode, then wouldn't it seem sensible that the PAL territories should be getting their games sooner, seeing as though the online mode has been debugged and all that's left is to translate? There are too many technicalities here to really make a final word on it. I personally am not too worried.

Look, they are not adding anything to the game, no online, no ferrari no nothing. either they missed something in the programming ormore likely theres trouble in printing a game with all the stuff (9+ GB). Its a Sony/PD F-up. And GT4 sales will be lost because of it. Not lost from the crowd here, we're all getting it. Sales will be lost by the millions of moms and dads looking for an E rated game for their kid.
this delay while frustrating to us fans has some sony execs fearing for their jobs today.

I bet PD had the game done but some lawyer or management at Sony threw a wrench into the works, thus holding the launch date up.

If the game actually went gold it isn't a shock that this happened due to the lawyers and managers involved.

I can only hope PD will take the extra few months to refine the game even more.

localization. It is huge and takes a long time and alot of resources, both from the developer end and the PR end. It is logical that this could hold it up too. Though for it it means someone dropped the ball somewhere on the issue.

And whoever "dropped the ball" must have crushed their foot with it. Localisation is the most ridiculous excuse for a huge delay I have ever heard. They could have at least come up with something plausible, or excusable.

Maybe there isn't going to be a GT4. Maybe its just some cruel game that we are all pawns. Maybe, the release date will always be pushed back until we lose are faith in our common mankind and the earth slides into a state of chaos.

That's right, they should get all the people who work for PD and chain them down to desks and give them a hammer and chizel and make them etch the game on to CD's for us until they are all made.

on the japanese site, they mentioned that they boosted the tracks to 65 from 50. i actually think this is BS. i wouldnt be surprised if the tracks were already gonna be in the game, but they just lowballed the number like they do with the cars. i really hope they found something really wrong with the game that requires such a delay. Also, i dont understand what takes it so long for the game to be released in other languages. couldnt they do translations alongside with the japanese version so that everytime the japanese version takes a step, so do all the other versions? well i dunno 'bout PAL, but since the NA version of the game is also NTSC, there shouldnt be too much to change. because really, what does SCE of america do if SCE of japan does all the programming and whatnot? do they just have to convert everything into english? I hope they give us a reason why this is happening. a solid reason.

I'm going out tonight to buy Underground 2 for X BOX.
I am no longer going to support Sony by purchasing games for PS2 when they are available on X Box as well. Until today I've only owned exclusive X Box games. Now the only PS2 titles will be exclusive. 💡 This is how I will protest and maybe if enough of us do this, it will wake up some freaking moron at Slowny. Microsoft I have found, has been far more consumer friendly. I will still purchase GT4, whenever the F it comes out. But I have lost something for the game and system. Just my $0.02

generally for me xbox games are cheaper then their ps2 counterparts, and more often then not their better then their ps2 varities anyway....

I am thanking Sony for giving me extra time to futher hone my skills on GT3 License tests and re learning the old tracks from GT1 & GT2 in preperation for the great game that GT4 will be.
