GT4 pushed to 2005

Yeah i really hope the US realease isn't delayed till mid february...since the initial release was only about a week or two difference between the Japanese and American release. I'm looking forward to the Japanese release at least because we'll get a full car list...which i've been looking forward to for awhile.
 
if it was a localization thing that caused this delay, as we're being told, then why the delay in the Japanese release? I does smell a fish...

I think i've figured out what's really going on! :irked:
GT4 has been delayed, do to some ...sabotage, performed by some x-box executives, in the attempt of a ... Company "takeover"? :odd:
Perhaps, if GT4 is delayed till after X-MAS, this site might change name to: "EX-GT Planet, now X-BOX UNIVERSE"!? :indiff:For sure, many people will go and buy X-BOX's & Forza and PD will lose alot of $$$ and he'll be very..... :grumpy:

No, we haven't been told it's a localization problem. This particular delay in Japan could be anything, from a bug, to production problems, to a marketing ploy. We don't know. Localization to North America doesn't take that long, there will be NO delay as a result, and the game will be out within weeks of the Japanese release.

As for PAL... well, I know there are many PAL users here, but I'm not one of them, so it doesn't matter one whit to me.
 
Damn lik sang have changed the release date to the 28th, oh well at least it should arrive when i'm on holiday. Every time this gets delayed, I think back to December 2003 and watching the ending of GT4 Prologue. Right at the end of Prologue you get a trailer for GT4 saying 'Coming soon' right at the end. That's the only real thorn in the side for me, I mean what the hell is PD's definition of soon? I mean if it had said 'Coming soon, but maybe we'll constantly delay it for a year and then everyone will start whinging on messageboards' i'd be happy.

I'll just go and play Metal Slug 4 now.

the word "gold", in this context, means the final gold master is ready for duplication. what Sony and Polyphony Digital celebrated a few weeks ago was that release candidate one (RC1) was ready for final quality assurance (QA) testing. if bugs are found the dev house fixes them and delivers release candidate two (RC2). this process continues until there's an RC that passed QA. when this occurs the final gold master is created and shipped off for duplication. at this point the game has officially "gone gold". RC's are subject to a "code freeze"; no features are added or removed. the only changes are bug fixes.
 
Wel NFSU2 will be there for me, and personaly to Sony and PD, screw you guys I'm buying Tekken 5 in Q1 2005, fighting is better than really delayed drving that still prolly won't be out by then.....
Hell for all we know Sony made the delay cuz they don't wanna cannibalize the sale of the PS2 version of NFSU2, since it's doing pretty good. Just like Tekken 4 came out really late cuz Virtua Fighter 4 was selling good.
But now there is no VF5, so Tekken 5 is getting a nice early home release, will easily be the best fighter on this generation of consoles, even without online play. Makes up for it with all the stuff DOA:U and MK:D don't have, like character balancing, customization, and sick graphics. For anyone who hasn't seen Tekken 5 in motion, I mean actualy played the arcade verison, yes it has gfx better than DOA. Everyone in DOA looks like a blow-up doll....

Well, didnt they wait last year or a couple years ago for nfsu to blow by? and now were waiting for nsfu2!? jesus or was it another game?
vice city and san andreas came out before gt4 and san andreas is huge ugg gt3 is the only game i play. This stinks big time
 
Maybe GT4 will have a ..teleportation, that will suck us into the game, for.... a real experience in ...driving...? :indiff: I hope it includes tacos & salsa & .... :trouble: a female co-pilot ..?👍

No, they're not.

Of all GT's, only GT Concept Tokyo Geneva had the option for Portuguese in game text, for example. But GT4 Prologue didn't (both PAL).

Normally you'll have a choice of about 5 languages.

True, ingame there is choice of only 4 to 5 languages, but the booklets all have to be translated for each country. Still, that shouldn't be the reason for the much later date of the European release. I'ts not like the translators do their work one after the other. NTCS to PAL conversion is the only reason I can think of that would cause GT4 to be released later than the US version.

I would much rather buy TOCA 2 for PS2, just so I can play with my DFPro.:)

Yeah! Great thinking, NOT! Forza is not supposed to be competition. period. Most people are goin to buy both anyways.
 
I know I will. In fact, I bought both my PS2 and Xbox for 1 racing game. It just expanded after that.

PS2-Gran Turismo 3
Xbox-Project Gotham Racing 2

It just turned out that I bought a Halo Edition Xbox. :dopey:
 
hey people on ps2geeknz.com it says gt4 for new zealand in february 20th. just thought id tell you in case you didnt know because i just found it out.
 
Where did they get their info from?
As long as the Japanies release stays before Xmas I think all the hunderds of pics and videos, the track and car lists will tide me over till its released here.
